| My husband and I stayed here with our two labs for a weekend in July. I am not sure who had more fun, us or the dogs! It was wonderful, the land and river are beautiful and the cabin is just perfect. Thanks again to Lee & Robin for such a great getaway!! |

Thank you Lee, Robin and little Miss Wren!! We so enjoyed our recent stay at the Spring House. We were sad to leave and look forward to visiting again soon.
Robin, from the minute we walked up to the Spring House, I was charmed by the homey touches . . . live greenery, the cozy swing - - perfect for relaxing! You blended the past and present seamlessly. I found myself going from room to room looking at the various snapshots of family and friends hanging along side the old photos and magazines articles from the early days of the resort. I read everything!! I had no idea Keener Spring had such history!!
The afternoons we spent by the river and next to the spring were so relaxing! And fun at the same time!! Norman Rockwell was how one of our friends described it. Flipping through the pictures we took of the kids piled up on the hammock, with their poles standing by the spring and getting ready to have a bonfire in the firepit down by the river, I'd say he was right!! Because before this vacation, I can't remember the last time my son had gone two days without his video game!! And he didn't miss it one bit!
Thank you for having us! We look forward to the next time!!

p.s. Please add more photos of the grounds and the spring to your site!! Seeing is believing, and Keener Spring is special beyond words!! |

My family and I recently enjoyed our first stay at Keener Spring. Let me begin by saying to Robin & Lee, Wow! What a beautiful piece of paradise that you own.
The cottage that we stayed in everyone refers to as the Spring House. It is decorated so awesome, you can get lost in all of the details given to the decorating. The charma of the cottage is very warm and inviting. Back to the decorating, Robin, you can give Martha Stewart a run for her money. I would love for you to decorate my house! The family history of Keener Spring, which is incorporated into the décor, is also very cool and interesting.
We started off our first day enjoying the beautiful view of the river from the well-equipped deck. What a view! Everything you could need on a deck is there; barbecue pit built into the bench seating; an inviting table and chairs, even a gas powered heater, should the need arise. Oh, I must also mention the tranquil front porch swing that is inside the screened in front porch; my friend and I enjoyed some time on that swing, all the while taking in the serenity of our surroundings.
Then we went down to the river landing which is a campground-like setting. Complete with a picnic table, barbecue pits, bonfire pit, even a hammock, all near the Spring that pumps out so many millions of gallons of water every day. Astronomical! We also enjoyed a trip down to the cave, but we didn’t have enough time to explore. The children really enjoyed the fishing; the water is so clear that you can see the fish.
The first night’s rest was unbelievable. My husband and I staked claim to the Master Bedroom of the cottage. I may have been in awe of my surroundings, but I’m telling you that was the most comfy bed ever!
We enjoyed breakfast at the nook of the fully stocked kitchen each day. How nice is that!! With the size of my gang, I certainly appreciated not having to pack the entire kitchen for our weekend getaway. The rest of the stay was spent enjoying the surroundings and relaxing.
Finally, I want to say how much I enjoyed meeting Robyn & Lee. You are two very cool people and we’re glad to have made your acquaintance; by the way, your baby girl is a doll! Thank you so much for such a wonderful stay.
I highly recommend a getaway to Keener Spring.
