| I stayed with Jim and Belinda in this beautiful casita for a month from Aug-Sep while looking for a job.I was looking for a small place to rent, something quiet and private, yet close to shopping etc. This was the place!!! I could not have asked for better hosts. Jim made sure I had a head start on some groceries and often surprised me with other treats during my stay. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place. It is wonderfully decorated in a western motif, great touch putting the saddle over the ceiling beam. I spent many hours on the beautiful deck watching the colors of the sky change as the sun set behind the mountain. Later in the evening I would enjoy watching the planes in the distance coming in to Phoenix, and watching the shooting stars. On my last night Jim spared no expense in giving me a wonderful send-off turning on the pool lights and making a fire in the outside pit with shaggy juniper....HEAVEN!!!! I continue to keep in touch with Jim and Belinda and consider them part of my family and I can't wait to go back to "my place". |

We stayed here for 12 nights during Christams 2009. It was one of the best vacations we ever had ! I first thought the other comments were a bit over the top,but we were totally floored at how nice our stay was at Jim´s home. Waking every morning to a spectacular view of the mountains was just what the Dr ordered. We had so much peace and quiet. I true desert pearl. Our host Jim was everything one would want in a host. SO kind, he even drove us to pick up our rental car after we arrived as well as stocking our fridge with some get started items. We really felt as though we were treated as VIP guests. When Jim asked if there was anything we missed our would have liked , we couldn´t think of anything. If you are looking for a place with a southwest feel, then this is THE guesthouse to stay in. Some of the other places we looked at on this site were nice but some have some pretty cheesy furnashings. Jim´s place here is very tastefully done with some very nice pieces of local history. There was even a small southwest style christmas tree for us and the gas fireplace just blew us away. Loved the neighborhood for walks and jogging. Just far enough from Scottsdale rd nestled behind mummy mt. Thanks Jim and look forward to seeing you again. Glenn And Lotte from Oslo |

| My husband and I recently stayed at this guesthouse for a week, and we would give our experience an A++. The accomodations were very comfortable and well-appointed, and more spacious than the pictures show. We loved the deck with an expansive view of Scottsdale, and we also enjoyed using the Barbecue and pool. The best part of the experience was our host; he went out of his way to make sure that we had everything we needed. There were special treats awaiting us upon arrival, and many other thoughtful gestures that made our stay very pleasant. We felt by the end of the week that we were visiting at the home of a friend. We cannot wait to go back! |

We loved this beautiful guest house. My morning walks revealed stunning views of the mountains. The flat screen tv was fabulous - so many channels. The kitchen is very convenient and Jim had a few treats waiting for us. The very best was the view from our deck. It was great in the late afternoon - so peaceful and quiet. This place is very private even though it is close to the main house. The entry is along the side of the property. Let me just say: don't stay in a hotel when you can enjoy this wonderful retreat. Thanks for everything.

This adorable house, these wonderful people and this beautiful city were so very needed! The Howe's were the epidamy of the gracious host. Thank you for your hospitality and attentiveness. We LOVED the guesthouse, it had everything you needed and than some! The bed was comfy, the huge flat screen TV was great for movie night, the kitchen has everything you need, the closet is huge and the vintage Centipede video game was a blast! Even though it rained quite a bit during our trip, the deck, the patio table and Scottdale skyline were calling us and our Merlot every evening. Really, I cannot say enough great things about this place and our hosts, we will be back every year at the same time for the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show...and maybe just for fun! Thank you Howe's!
