We thoroughly enjoyed staying in this condo during our recent trip to Big Sky Resort! It is very well located, in the Mountain Village...just a block or two (slightly uphill) to the base of Big Sky Ski Area and the Mountain Mall. Be sure to stay in "Mountain Village", not "MeadowVillage" to avoidlong shuttle rides to skiing, shops and dining.
Stillwater condos are situated perfectly...you can walk to everything! There are only two other hotels that are closer (Huntley Lodge and Summit Lodge), but you'll pay an arm and a leg to stay there. At this condo at Stillwater, you have everything you need, AND MORE, at a reasonable price. The condo is decorated in a western theme, with a great wood-burning stone fireplace (and free wood is provided!). There is an LCD TV and DVD player downstairs, and an LCD TV, DVD player, and Nintendo upstairs. Downstairs has a private (queen) bedroom and bath, kitchen, pantry, living room, balcony, and 3 sleds for the kids. A spiral staircase takes you upstairs, where there is a private room with a queen bed and a single/double bunkbed, and a bathroom. It is a loft that was closed in, so it's private...we called it the "bird's nest", and it was great for the kids. There is off-street parking if you bring a car, but you won't need it for skiing, shopping, or dining. The kitchen was well-equipped, except the microwave oven's timer doesn't work...we had to time our popcorn by our watch. Big Sky is a great place to ski and snowboard (no lift lines), and it snowed every day! If you're looking for a nice well-equipped condo that is close to the action and reasonably priced, THIS IS IT!!! The owner has provided books, DVD's, food, extra blankets and bedding, etc. to make it comfortable and cozy. We could have moved in for a while (there were 5 of us), but we had to go back to work in Florida... Thanks again, for a great vacation!!! |
