What a wonderful house! We meet our family in Colorado Springs over the New Year's to celebrate Christmas. The house was complete with a tree and decorated for the holidays. Everything we needed was available and we prepared all our meals at the house. A portible crib was even available for the youngest member of our group, and the bedroom on the main floor was perfect for our 80+ year old grandmother with it's own bath and no steps. There was plenty of room for everyone and we loved the antiques throughout the home. We all had a wonderful time as a family and appreciate being able to stay in such a unique home.

Dawn and Tim: There were 10 of us (and the two dogs) It was just perfect in every way! The noisy young people could stay up all night in the kitchen playing cards and the tired old people could go to bed and not be disturbed. The Christmas decorations added just the right touch! Nobody got lost coming in or bumping around the town. We had a great ceremony at the Academy, great visiting at the house, great site seeing for those that hadn't been out west in a while.

My sister and brother in law from Atlanta flew in, stayed the last nite by themselves and walked the neighborhood - more rave reviews!! The house is a great gathering place, Lots of room for everyone, beautifully decorated, just terrific!!

Our thanks and best wishes for the holidays. Your house was 'four stars', perfect. Thank you again for letting us rent it for the December Air Force Academy graduation week.

Best -

We had an absolutely wonderful time at your home. One of the highlights of the trip was sitting around the fireplace and having extended family playing guitar and singing songs they had written. A warm wonderful time. (That night alone made the manor all worth it.) The wedding was beautiful and we wouldn't have changed a thing. We appreciate the attention to detail and loving care put into the manor. It is beautifully decorated. We discovered the games in the chest in the kids bedroom and our kids played a long game of monopoly, laughing much too loud into the wee hours of the morning. A great time had by all.

Thank you for providing such a lovely home away from home for us all.

My daughter's wedding was the first weekdnd in October. My rather large family couldn't all fit into our house in the Springs, so we thought we'd give them the second best place in town to stay. I think they got the better deal. The house is large and roomy and so interesting. All the little nooks and crannys (especially the wine cellar) were the talk of the wedding. They all said they would stay there again in a minute.

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful home! Our only disappointment was that we couldn't stay longer. The rooms were spacious; the linens soft, comfortable, and incredibly fresh-smelling! We would definitely recommend this place and can't wait to come back for another visit to the Springs!

We rented the house from the 9th of July until the 25th of July for a combined family holiday. My husband and I decided on Colorado Springs because of the many activities for both adults and children. We had 6 adults and 2 children the first week and 8 adults and 3 children the second week. We all enjoyed the house, making it work for all of us. The location is ideal for the proximity to restaurants and parks. The kitchen is very well supplied. We had a lovely time while we were there. One excellent asset is the availability of the owners' daughters to babysit. Our grandchildren had a lovely time and did not miss us at all!!! Not to be missed---Michael Garman's Magic Town in Old Colorado City....

This was our 10th USAFA Parents' Weekend & we've finally found a home that works for our large family! The location is convenient to USAFA, shopping, & recreation. The home itself is set up very well to serve large groups easily. From the family-sized kitchen & plentiful beds, to the bbq, bikes, ice chests, etc that are available for use, it is obvious that the Rickert's put a lot of thought into providing all of the conveniences of home for their guests. We even had enough towels for everyone without having to do laundry! We had an awesome time together & look forward to coming back next year. Thank you for giving us a wonderful home away from home!!

We were in Colorado Springs for our son's wedding. The house was a perfect home away from home. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the large kitchen was a wonderful place to eat and visit. The location was amazing for its proximity to eating out, shopping, and sightseeing. Many of our destinations were within walking distance. We enjoyed our time there very much.

"Wow", "beautiful", wonderful", "I miss it already". These are some of the comments from my family who stayed at your home for my brother's surprise 50th birthday party. He lives in Colorado Springs and had no idea we were all going to be there. The perfect setting for the surprise was your beautiful home. We come from a large family and finding a place that could accomodate all of us is a task. We were all able to be together, instead of being housed in some sterile, uncomfortable hotel without the kind of "warm" feeling that is so appreciated in this type of situation. Your home provided us the opportunity to take control of some of the food preparation necessary since one of the nephews has severe food allergies, and the bar-b-que setting was right up our alley. You home was close to some interesting places for both adults and children. All the comments received after our trip there have reflected the happiness it provided us being together, the convenience of the location, the comfort and coziness of the rooms, the abundant space, and the overall feeling of warmth your home had provided. We all agree, that if we have any future get togethers, in or around Colorado, we will absolutely be contacting you again for a possible stay in your beautiful home. Thank you for making lifetime memories for all of our families. We had an incredible time there...Barbara, Austin, Texas

We had a WONDERFUL time at the Mountain Majesty Manor. We had just 8 of us so we all had plenty of space. With the three levels, there was always a place someone could go to be on their own. The kids thought it was a great house for hide and seek. The kitchen was very well stocked, making it very easy to prepare meals. It looks like it would be a great place for Thanksgiving or Christmas. We were attending our 8 yr old son's Regional gymnastics meet at the Olympic Training Center (he is now the 2009 Region 9 Champion!). The house was very convenient; just a couple blocks to downtown (and Starbucks) and about 1 1/2 miles from the training center. We hope to be back next meet season if not sooner.

We loved the house and the proximity to downtown Colorado Springs. The house
was wonderful and met all our needs (10 people) as we shared the time with best friends and family celebrating the marriage of oldest son of friends. Family were welcome and enjoyed visiting after the wedding. The home is warm and atmosphere rich. Owners were considerate and met our needs quickly and in a professional manner. My wife and I look forward to staying again during our next visit to Colorado Springs.

What a wonderful time in a great house! Our son had a December graudation from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. We flew into The Springs (great, small airport!)from various places "out East"-PA, MD, CT. Mostly "hung out" in the large, comfortable kitchen-cooking and talking, playing a few games and enjoying a beverage. Nice location. Poor Richards, and the bakery/cafe accross the street from it are recommended. A wonderful time in a house/home I would highly recommend! Thanks to the owners!

We simply could not have found a better place for our 30th CC reunion ... not only for the 8 of us who stayed there, but for literally dozens of friends who dropped by from time to time over the three days.
We'll book it RIGHT NOW for our 35th in October 2013!
Thanks a million.

This house is perfect for a gathering. I chaperoned ten 17-19 year old girls for a week and we found all the amenities for our needs which ranged from ironing suits, wireless internet, playing tunes on our Ipods, to baking cookies. The old charm of this historically house with all its different spaces was perfect.

I recently hosted a gathering of 9 college friends (from all over the U.S. and London)in Colorado Springs and we were lucky to have found Mountain Majesty Manner. The location was great-centrally located to all of the attractions as well as close to downtown. We walked a few minutes to restaurants. The house is large enough to spread out but also provides gathering places such as the kithchen and living room. Dawn and Tim were very nice and accomodating. I highly recommend a stay at this well-maintained, comfortable home.

My family stayed in this house with 2 other families and our stay in Colorado Springs couldn't have been better. The house is wonderfully
located, in walking distance of restaurants and in driving distance of many, many attractions. The house is very spacious and very well equipped. I would definitely stay here again if/when we head back to Colorado Springs.

We had our entire family vacation in Colorado Springs at this home and it was fabulous. The house was big enough that we were not stepping over each other all day long. It was also conveniently close to all the sightseeing locations and the shopping. If we ever need a place to stay in Colorado Springs, we will certainly stay here again! It was absolutely phenomenal.

My 3 brothers and I with our wives had a week long reunion here. What a lovely old house in a world class location!! Our first night we walked one block to the Pike's Peak or Bust Rodeo Parade. And it is a one block walk to the park with tennis courts, bicycle trail, and resident red fox! There is a whole summer's worth of activities within a 10 mile radius of this house. Nice kitchen, formal dining and the decorations make the house feel like a home. Great value for the money!!

Ok...So all I really have to say is the house is WONDERFUL!!!...I doubt that any other house can really compare in the area. It is everything and more than we expected. So if you think the price is too much, just wait until you get to the house! You will find your money's worth and more by the time you leave.

We stayed here for our son's Air Force Academy graduation. We were all able to stay in one place. It is a beautiful old home. It's not far from anything. Our guests went site seeing, easy access to the I-25. We truly enjoyed our stay.

This house is absolutely gorgeous. My film crew and I stayed here while working on a documentary. It has absolutely everything you could possibly need in a rental no matter what your reason for being in Colorado Springs. It is a thirty second walk from adorable downtown with loads of great restaurants and boutique shopping. The owners are absolutely lovely and cater to your every whim! Every corner of the house you will find a new treasure from the tin hammered ceiling in the kitchen to the beautiful bed linens. We will return any chance we get!

We had a girl's retreat of 14, sister's, mother's and daughters. We have been doing these retreats for 12 years and everybody agreed this was one of the best places we have ever stayed. There was plenty of linens, comfortable beds and plenty of living space. It was decorated very charming. Thank you for making our time a very wonderful one. Cheri SaBell

A wedding party of 10 stayed 2 or 3 nights, and it was an entirely positive experience. The place was very clean with lots of space to either store things out of sight, or leave in a corner (as we needed to do with many wedding supplies). The house was completely stocked and the owners were very gracious and offered us help if needed. We were able to have a wedding shower there and many other guests without feeling crowded. Highly recommend this retreat away from home.
