I found the accommodations clean, quiet. The location was great. I loved spending the evenings on the bridge- there was a folk singer on the bridge every night. Also, access to the D bus was very useful to get to the SMN and the bus station when I did day trips out of town. Your booklet of helpful hints, including the telephone, helped me survive the whole month. It was great! Perhaps explain the garbage system and that there is a foot pedal! Also explain taxis and what fares to expect. I got different information from different tour books.
Excellent access to the Palazzo Pritti, the Boboli, the museums near by, the Uffizi, the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno. Also, I felt very, very safe in this area, and as a single traveler, that is important.
Mamma Gina's on San Iacopo was the highlight of my culinary visits in Florence.
Tips for future guests: Bus tickets were a great thing to have and use. Sunset at Piazza Michaelangelo or from any bridge. Internet Point - on San Iacopo was very useful and helpful. Do not, under any circumstances, use the money exchange places in Florence - the cost for exchanging travelers cheques can be as high as 20%. Bank machines are very accessible and have only the international charges. I have also told friends how surprised I was that so many people in Italy spoke a bit of English or even more. It also helps to learn some key phrases and to be ready to try to communicate. The people in Italy were as wonderful as the art and architecture. Best day trip was to Siena. I took the D bus outside (across from the Palazzo Pritti) to Santa Maria Novella. I went out the taxi exit and turned left, walking down to the regional bus company (I can't remember the name). For a few euros, I caught the bus to Siena. What a wonderful day! And so easy.
The kitchen, though small, was well equipped. It would have been nice to have coffee on hand when I arrived. It was the only essential that wasn't there when I arrived.
Patrizia brought me a little ceramic gift, wine and flowers, and made me feel very welcome. She also made sure the staff at the ceramic store knew me and they were great about the day to day little questions. The shops and restaurants around that part of town are more 'real Italy' than the touristy areas. I loved being so close to everything.

Thank you so much for making our stay in Florence so wonderful. The apartment was perfect! We will let our friends know when they come to Italy that they must stay with you! The location was great, not to mention how nice it was to have extra space.

I wanted to thank you for the wonderful apt in Florence. The apt was great, really perfect. And the manager was a darling, so helpful; and the people downstairs that run the little shop were sweet too (always saying buon giorno, etc. to us as we came and went). We loved the restaurant that she recommended -- 4 Leone. We had a wonderful time and hope to rent with you again next time. Please pass on our best regards and thanks. Best wishes,

Accommodations were excellent. Great location and quiet. Great size for two people.
Enjoy the most? We enjoyed having the kitchen and having more space than we would have in a hotel.
Problems? Not really. The couch was a bit small for 2 people to lay on. =) More TP and paper towels for guests.
Location and the surrounding area? Excellent location. It was a lot of fun being at the base of the Ponte Vecchio.
Nearby sites, restaurants or shops? We rented bikes and mopeds from Florence by Bikes. We really enjoyed having both. Great way to tour town. La Fondue on Via Della Fonderia 1R was a great restaurant. We took language classes at Koine and left information on all of the things we liked on the bookshelf.
Any tips for future guests? Rent bicycles.
Excellent Europe's service was excellent and the manager was great.

Accommodations? We were very pleased. The manager was very helpful and nice. She exuded Italian charm. Got us reservations to a restaurant that wasn't taking any!
Enjoy the most? it was very quiet.
Problems? - none
Location and the surrounding area? loved the fact that we were in the middle of it all and when one got to the apt we didn't hear all the goings and comings perfect.
Nearby sites? I loved the piazza Michelangelo we walked up all those stairs and were rewarded by the views!
Tips for future guests? get up early to get a jump on all the sites buy good walking shoes.
