We had a wonderful stay at C's by the Sea. I vacationed in Michigan City when I was little not but 2 blocks away on Lake Shore Drive. I took my son's and husband and good friends there this past summer. It was spectacular. The house was great. Stuart was wonderful (best landlord we ever had). We hope to visit again. Thanks Stuart for the most wonderful trip down memory lane and for a wonderful place to start my own family memories!

Our family has been enjoying Michigan City vacations since 1995 so we have experienced all types of accommodations from Stop 2 to Stop 12 on Lake Shore Drive. Last year we stayed in the Colfax area but this 1920’s Cottage is the premier location of them all. This has the charm of lake living with all First Class amenities provided. The large dinning room table allowed all 12 of our family to eat together and share the events of the day. There were so many places to enjoy time reading, playing video games, checking your email messages, alone time or visiting with each other. From the spacious back yard, large paved patio, and two cozy and comfortable porches you always had a place to call your own. The galley kitchen made food prep easy and the three grills gave the guys a chance to show off their grilling expertise. Direct private access to the beach was a plus as we did not have to cross the street. The kitchen/dining area is well supplied with huge platters, silverware and dishes. A separate small refrigerator in the lower level makes it easy to keep soda and other refreshments convenient. The walk-in basement has a toilet, shower and changing room as well as shelves loaded with towels for your convenience. After using the towels you merely throw them in the washer and dryer and you are ready for another day. This is truly a home away from home and a real joy to experience.

This is an extremely inviting, clean, comfortable, well-equipped cottage, with superb access to a great beach. Plenty of seating areas on the front and back enclosed porches as well as the livingroom mean that members of our family could be together or get a little space when they needed it. We all loved the large diningroom table!

The home has all the charm of the 30s with modern day conveniences such as cable TV, broadband internet and air conditioning. Arguably the best location on the beach with most days not a single soul within 200 yards of you.
Five true bedrooms with sleeping for at least 12. Don't pack up the house because everything you need is already there.
The owner takes a great interest in making sure you are comfortable, well taken care of and have everything you need. We will be back for many years to come. |

We had a wonderful time at this cottage! The house is well taken care of, and everything we needed was provided. The beach is very nice, and not crowded. The sunsets over the water were beautiful! The location is great as well, close to the zoo, downtown, and the outlet mall. We would definitely return.
