| What a wonderful stay at Sidari! We arrived at dusk in the rain, and woke up to views that were absolutely amazing! The houseboat was charming and spotless, kitchen was well stocked, and the bed was comfy. One day of our stay we only left for a trip to the wonderful grocery store for fresh fish, pasta, and salad. The rest of the day was spent on the deck enjoying the views, talking with a few neighbors who provided a wonderful history of the houseboats, and watching the tide change. It was amazing how the boat rises and falls with the tide, while you can feel the slight movement you don't realize the change without a focal point! There is a pelican statue on a post that lets you know the status of the tide! The fireplace was also wonderful on the chilly nights, it was amazing how a duraflame log can warm up the entire place. No need for the furnace in September, with all of the windows the sun warms the houseboat during the day. We would like to return, and will definately recommend to anyone visiting the bay area! |

This was a calm and quiet retreat, with a beautiful view, yet only minutes away from San Francisco. We knew we were somewhere completely unique when we first arrived and walked down the wooden dock; the path was lined with containers full of flowers. After a week on Sidari, one of my favorite things was a very subtle movement when the tide went out, which was slightly hypnotic. Suffice it to say that view from the deck, and the excellent kitchen caused us to change our plans, and spend most of our time relaxing on the houseboat, instead of running around seeing the sites. Michele really took care of the details, and checked in with us to make sure everything was fine. I have been to the bay area many times, and this is by far the best place I've stayed. Highly recommended! |

Well, we did it. We had a great time!!! Loved the place and will likely be back in the future. Kids went out on the Kayaks the last day as the weather finally warmed. It wasn’t 2 minutes and we heard splash. The 16 year old was in the water....too funny. We did all the typical stuff, SF, Golden Gate, etc. Found we really enjoyed Sausalito and dinner in Tiburon.

We spent two delightful weeks on Sidari and we absolutely loved it. In fact, it was one of our favorite vacations and we intend to do it again. We loved sitting on the deck for our breakfast each morning and a glass of wine each evening. We hooked up both of our computers but with the wonderful views, it wasn't hard to keep up with our work. Bike riding into town, and all the wonderful restaurants forced us to stay put in Sausalito and never even have the desire to venture to SF. Michele and Gabor were wonderful neighbors and gave us a great overview of our environment. The size of Sidari was just right for us, and worked when we invited guests to come and visit! We recommend it highly. Bev Kaye and Barry Levitt |

| We always wanted to try a houseboat so when the opportunity came, we rented! What a treat! It was so different, but so wonderful! The gentle feel of the sun and the sea breeze, and being gently lulled to sleep in the bedroom safely surrounded by water. It was the best vacation we have ever taken. |

| Our family spent the 2008 Thanksgiving holiday on "Sidari" (VRBO 171453). What a delight! This houseboat manages to have the amenities needed for a comfortable visit while retaining its Sausalito funkiness. Our kids and grandkids were treated with lifetime memories. We'd return in a heartbeat. |

| We just returned from a wonderful week in Sausalito and have nothing but fantastic things to say about this charming houseboat! If you're looking for an affordable, quaint, funky, romantic place to call home while visiting the San Francisco Bay area, this is it! Michele and Gabor are the ultimate hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay memorable - from the menus from local restaurants to the abundance of towels to the bottle of wine upon our arrival - fabulous! Why stay in a hotel when you can experience Sausalito as a local? We will definitely be coming back as soon as we can! All the best, Gwen and Jack |
