| Frieda and I enjoyed our stay at your Carriage House in D.C. very much. Everything was clean, neat and exactly as you described it and the location was the best. We were able to walk to the Capitol and did not need a car the entire time. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. Thanks again for a wonderful stay. Kent |

| We had such a wonderful time in the Carriage House! Using the Metro, it's an easy walk to anywhere in the city. We used the kitchen every day, and it is truly well-stocked. It was a treat to come "home" after a day hoofing through museums and relax in the living room. Thanks, Ken, for such a wonderful stay! |

| A perfect and safe place to stay. Location: A few blocks walk passing four storey Victorian houses to the Capitol building then down the gently sloping hill to the museums. Lunch at the American Indian museum a MUST do. A few blocks in the other direction, restaurants, fresh food and the Metro(railway) to go downtown and to Arlington. No need to hire a car. The Carriage house: clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Ken's helpful information invaluable. We will be back to stay on our next visit. |

| Ken's carriage house was the perfect place to stay in DC. I enjoyed the house, the neighborhood and the convenient location. Ken is also so helpful with all his tips about the neighborhood and getting around town. I would definitely stay there again when I'm visiting DC. |

| We spent a week at the carriage house in May/June 2009 and found it a perfect home base for exploring Washington. Ken welcomed us with friendliness and helpful suggestions for our stay including a good place to get fresh, tasty take-out food so that we could eat "at home" if we wished. The house itself was exceptionally clean, attractive, well-stocked, and comfortable. The Capitol Hill neighborhood is architecturally interesting with lovely gardens and friendly neighbors. Access to the sights of Washington was extremely easy on foot (don't miss the Library of Congress only a few blocks away) and via Metro a short walk away. We definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to feel at home in Washington. |

| Ken's carriage house is the perfect place to stay in DC. The location is ideal in that it is within walking distance of the Capitol and many other historic sites, close to the metro, and in a beautiful neighborhood. The unit itself it large, very clean, and well stocked with everything you will need for a lovely stay. Ken is a very helpful host and when we get back to DC we will definitely stay there again. |

THE PERFECT DC LODGING: Ken and Juneanne's place was wonderful in every way. From the moment we confirmed we would come their communication with us was clear and focused on making our vacation the best and most efficient as possible. The house was outstanding - very clean, well stocked with everything and lots of space. We felt at home and pampered.
The location is Awesome and the proximity to the capital (5 blocks), museums (10-15 minute walk) and the 3 blocks to the subway could not have been better. Add the advice from both our hosts on restaurants and sites and we had the perfect experience. I not only recommend them, we're coming back again ourselves.

| Kenneth's carriage house was perfect for our stay in Washington. The location is wonderful as is the neighborhood in which it is located. We felt safe and comfortable and wish we had a longer stay. Ken is a great source of information and offers a fine vacation rental nearly in the shadow of the Capitol. Four Stars!!! |

Thank you so much for a wonderfull stay in you Carriage House Apartment. The apartment was more than we expected and so well located near the Eastern Market and the Metro, it was a breeze getting around.
The neighborhood was absolutely charming with great resturants and stores within blocks.
When we come back again I can think of no better place to stay.

| What a truely wonderful experience it was to stay at the carriage house. After reading other's comments I must agree with all of them. It was the perfect location, the perfect host, and the perfect accommodations. We could not have asked for anything more. Ken was very helpful, making sure we arrived safely, giving suggestions for restaurants and stores. The carriage house is very relaxing and homey to come back to after a busy day in D.C. Much better than a hotel. Our first visit to D.C. was definitely enhanced by staying at the carriage house and meeting Ken. If given the chance, we would do it again. |

The carriage house was beautiful and perfect for
our business trip to DC. The location is amazing -
metro, shops, restaurants close by and very safe - I
felt very comfortable walking the neighborhood at
all times of the day. The house has everything one
would need for comfort and Ken, the landlord,
could not be more available and accommodating. A
great choice over a hotel - it felt more like a home
away from home. I highly recommend the carriage

The carriage house was an amazing find! It combines the ambience of a Victorian neighborhood with 21st century conveniences. The Capitol Hill neighborhood, with its beautiful row houses, has changed over the years such that it is now a safe place, occupied by families and young professionals. I have never seen so many baby strollers in one place! As a woman traveling alone, safety is one of my priorities. I felt very comfortable walking around on Capitol Hill, and I felt completely secure inside the carriage house because it has strong security on all doors and windows.
The alley leading to the carriage house has not one piece of litter, and the house itself is pristinely clean. The photos on the web site do not fully convey the beauty and elegance of the interior.
Although the Metro subway stop is conveniently located a few blocks away, there is also a bus route that stops right on the block where the carriage house is located.
Ken is a wonderful landlord. He always responded quickly to my email questions, and was extremely helpful in providing information about such matters as locations of grocery stores, eating places, and subway routes. He and his wife made themselves easy to contact for any questions or problems during my stay (but I had none).
I was grateful to have found this homey, unique place to stay in Washington, DC, and highly recommend it!

| Since we also have a listing on VRBO for our own guest house we decided to check VRBO for accomodations in DC for our vacation and found this one. The price was much more reasonable then many of the hotels in DC. We wholeheartedly agree with all the other comments regarding this property and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting our nation's capitol. We appreciated Ken going out of his way to give us a tour of the area upon our arrival and his kindness in assisting us in our mini emergency during our departure. It's a great place to stay. |

It was very easy to explore DC - we walked to the museums, took the Metro to the national zoo, went out to dinner in DuPont Circle, and walked around the Eastern Market on the weekends. We didn't need to use a car during our entire stay.
The interior is nicely decorated and they just added satellite TV and high speed wireless internet while we were there. Ken and Juneanne were pleasant and made our stay very comfortable.

We had never before rented a vacation unit directly from an owner but our experience was great and we would definitely do this again. We immediately felt right at home in this cozy carriage home. The location was great and we always felt safe even while walking at 2 am. The Metro, which we used every day, was clean, safe, and easy to get around. All our needs were met. Thank you Ken and Juneanne for a wonderful vacation.

| This was our first time to Washington, DC and the carriage house made the trip perfect. The light from all the windows makes it so cheerful. The furniture and decor give it a really warm "at home" feeling. At the end of a long day of sight seeing, it really was like coming home. We slept well in the comfortable bed with soft sheets and a fluffy comforter. The bathroom was well stocked with huge bath towels. Our hosts thought of everything. We could not ask for a better location. It is 5-10 minutes to the Eastern Market with lots of resturants and a metro stop. It is also 10 minutes to Union Station and about 10 minutes to the Capitol. It seemed like there were resturants in every direction. If you walk out onto the street at night, you can the see the capitol dome lit up just blocks away. We would walk in the morning to the mall and then take the metro to the Eastern Market stop and be home in a few minutes in the afternoon There are two small markets about two 5 minutes away and they are both amazingly well stocked with food, wine and beer. Don't miss the Eastern Market to stock the refrigerator with wonderful cheese, bread and olives for snacks. If you want to cook, the kitchen has everything you need. Jimmy T's is just down the street where the locals eat breakfast. You are truly in the heart of the Capitol Hill area. What a find!! Thanks to our wonderful hosts. We will be back. |

| Ken and Juneanne were lovely and the place was even better than the photos. They were both there to greet us when we arrived and made us feel comfortable, safe and welcome. They did not linger and let us get some much-needed rest immediately. The place was quiet, safe and extremely comfortable. The location is great and I recommend you look on Google Earth to see how close it really is to the Capitol. Every day, as we left to go out, our view down the street was of the Supreme Court and Capitol building. Very dramatic. The nearby Eastern Market was a wonderful weekend treat and it was an easy walk to the subway from the carriage house. Highly recommended. |
