| My family and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely hillside cottage during June 2007. The advantages were that we felt like the natives more than tourists as we depended a lot on the village square to eat and drink and go about our daily business. We felt welcome and enjoyed many good lunches in the brasserie hotel de ville at very reasonable cost. A thank you to our freindly waiter Laron, who understood our basic french but ensured our steaks were always "a bien cuit"!The auberge St.Geran was a lovely oasis of calm to sit outside and enjoy coffee or a rose wine of an evening too. The local casino supermarket was always a pleasant place to shop. The pool at the cottage and the jacuzzi made our holiday as we enjoyed total privacy and relaxation and of course the hot sun more than played its part. The beds in the cottage must be mentioned they were so comfortable and good plump pillows to go with them! Even though we were in a village surrounded by other homes there was no noise at night either traffic or people in the locality. Our only gripes would be the walk to the main road for the bus to Aix en Provence as we could not fathom out the little buses that circled the village where do they go? Also the shower in the studio apartment was cold so the shower in the main house was busy!Iwould also have appreciated more help from our manageress Alison who we met on arrival and never saw again! However we sorted ourselves out and thoroughly our french escapade!Bouc bel air is a lovely place not forgetting !la Village! the local pizzeria that kept us from starving the first two nights while we learned the opening hours of the local shops! The exhibitions in the local chateaux are well worth visiting too. All in all a positive experience! |

Homeowner Response:
Many Thanks Kathleen. Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay at Aix Spa Cottage. We've just returned from a 3 week stay ourselves, and we replaced all the linen, cushions, prints etc .... so the cottage is looking really 'crisp and clean' for the summer of 2007. The weather was superb, and the village is in full swing. We updated the guide book with new places to eat & shop & visit. Thanks again for your positive comments. Kind regards. Tracey & Andrew Learmont xox.

Hello & Welcome to Aix Spa Cottage. We have many excellent reviews in our guest book located in the cottage. Most people comment on the great location, the pool, the 14 page list we give everyone of things to see & do .... and last but no least how helpful our manager Alison was! Hope you enjoy your stay in Provence as much as our previous guests have. Bonnes vacances ... Andrew & Tracey Learmont (owners) Sydney, Australia.
