| We had a wonderful week for my son's wedding. The house was perfect for us. My husband and I, my ex-husband and his wife and our 5 children with some of their spouses all shared the house. Crazy huh. It was actually wonderful. All of our children got to be with all their parents. The house was spacious, clean and had many water sport supplies. Darla was great to help with anything to make our stay comfortable. |

| We stayed at Ka Hale Kai house from June 8 - 14th for our wedding ceremony and reception. We were married on June 13th, and it was PERFECT! The majority of our guests stayed at the house and they all found it comfortable and just like home. The beachfront was perfect for our ceremony and the secluded nature of the property created just enough privacy for our intimate event. The backyard was the ideal setting for our reception and fit a tent and 4 tables very comfortably. Ka Hale Kai will always hold a special place in my heart and I will look back on my wedding day with only positive feelings and thoughts because Ka Hale Kai made it everything I had always dreamed it would be. Thank you so much for making my wedding day perfect! |

| What a fabulous week we had at the Ka Hale Kai!! Plenty of room for the 7 of us. Loved getting up ahead of the kids and taking a walk or run on the beach followed by a cup of coffee and light breakfast with just the adults. Darla was so great in arrainging everything for the reservation, and Laurie was great to greet us and help us get situated. She then came back around to make sure our needs were being met. Nice touch! Can't thank you enough for a most relaxing and memorable week! |

| Our relatives in Hawaii told us not to rent in Ewa Beach because of the traffic problems. Hoowever with the help of the rental owners this problem was alleviated and it was a destination we came to enjoy. With seven of us there we had enough space to have company(the rest of my Hawaii family to come visit) or be by ourselves. There was also surprising extras like the boogie boards, beach chairs, snorkel outfits which made enjoying the ocean so much more. The kitchen was well equipped so we prepared most of our own dinners. And for the kids the free WIFI kept them in touch with the mainland. Overall a very enjoyable time. |

Ka Hale Kai Beach Resort was truly a lovely place. It has a billion dollar view, you listen to the tradewinds blowing, the sounds of the surf, and see the lights of Waikiki. We started out with the wonderful fruit basket the Laurie has left for us, along with the kona coffee, milk and juice and water in the refridge. We have a marvelous time and have reccomended to all our freinds. We had 7 in our party and there were plenty of room!! The fenced yard was great as we had our 3 year old grandson along and no worries about in running into the ocean. Laurie had all the boogey boards one could ask for, snorkels and fins, kayak, surfboard, and sand toys! It was so relaxing to hear the waves upon waking and the outside table with the umbrellas were great, that were we spent the time, when we were are the house. You can snorkel right from your private beach, be careful of the coral. While we were there a seal came up on the beach for several days just to sun herself. The traffic was very busy but we ventured out daily to see all the sites. Laurie has brochure-of all the different places and all the maps and guide books. Speaking of books they were 2 or 3 TV's, DVD's, games and toys for the Grandchild, yes even a stroller! Also we left a container of plaster of paris so that future guest could mold the hand prints or feetprint out the the sand on the beach!! The kitchen was well appointed with everything that we needed. In the morning, we would cook our breakfast and be off for the day! At night the propane grills worked wonderfully, as we were having our cocktails outside, my son, Alan, did the grilling. We also ate our dinner outside to the sounds of the surf! Point in infomation there in a Costco a couple of miles from the house! This helps with the grocery bill. We did eat in town at the Japenese and the Chinese restaurants that were terrific! The town of ewa is not very busy as in Honolulu, thnk God for that! All I can say to Laurie, Darla, and Danielle are KUDOS!! EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!! Hope to see you again! | We were looking for that special place to hold our first-ever staff retreat and were very pleased that we held it here. If I had to choose just one word to best describe our experience, it would be BREATHTAKING. The rooms were beautifully decorated, the kitchen was fully stocked, gift baskets were yummy, there was more than enough room to hold our staff retreat of 10 people, and spacious enough to give us that "comfortable" feeling. Customer Service: 10+ Accommodations: 10+ We highly recommend this vacation home. Mahalo and God Bless! |

It was my first time to Hawaii and my first time on Oahu. My entire family stayed here and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house was arranged so that all 7 of us had our space, we had everything we needed. Laurie was so kind and helpful and answered all of our questions. The beach was wonderful, everything we needed for the beach was there, the time spent was so very comfortable and relaxing. I would reccommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet, enjoyable, relaxing place after sight seeing and driving around. Thanks for everything Darla and Laurie and Danielle. Carol Hutchinson |

I, my mother, and aunt were part of the extended family mentioned in the comment by Jim Ball of 10/08/08. Renting this house felt like a home away from home. It is so well equipped in every way and decorated so lovingly that one could NOT ask for anything more. It felt very welcoming, inviting, and homey. Laurie is a wonderful, warm person; Danielle, too, is warm and helpful. They are both there for you but never intrusive. Everyone slept very well in the comfortable beds. The beach is beautiful and the scenery fantastic. After our week in Ka Hale Kai, we three spent three days in Waikiki and the hustle and bustle of that famous destination caused us to think wistfully back to lovely Ka Hale Kai. We give this rental the highest recommendation - think charm, atmosphere, warmth, and comfort and you won't be disappointed. Thank you Laurie and Danielle! |

My extended family rented the premises for a vacation/family wedding. Extended means my wife, 12 yr old son, 7 year old disabled daughter, grandma and two aunts. The accomodations are unbeatable for a larger family who need a home base for relaxing and sightseeing Oahu. Darla was invaluable in getting us there and Laurie went way beyond the call of duty in being an accomodating landlord and tour guide. Facilities are clean and as advertised with some extra thrown in to surprise you. The ambiance of the home left something for the whole family; beautiful flowers for the ladies, easily manageable for my daughter in a wheelchair, shells and a coconut on the beach for my son and quiet evenings on the deck for me. The neighbour and helper Danielle handled any questions. Ewa Beach is away from the hustle and bustle but the whole island is easily accessible by car. (Like any major city, avoid rush hour) |

| My family of 8 just returned from a family trip to visit my husband's family on the Big Island and stopped on Oahu for about 5 days. What a WONDERFUL surprise to find this home and the one attached to it. The homes were perfect! Decorated so well that we went home and tried to recreate the feeling we had while we were there. The owner, Laurie, and her agent, Darla, were so gracious and friendly. The kitchen was stocked with everything from rice cooker to wine bottle opener and Laurie even had a wonderful gift of pineapple, Kona coffee, and macadmia nuts waiting for us. The sound of the ocean and the feel of the tradewinds cannot be beat. Yes, the traffic is bad during the commute time, but hey, we were on vacation and just adjusted our schedule when we left - which wasn't very often! Grocery stores and restaurants are nearby and the house is right on the ocean. We usually stay in Waikiki but will never again - we will always plan our vacations in the future around the availability of this wonderful house! |

What a great place and Laurie was so accomodating. The house has million dollar views from the back lawn. In the evening you can feel the tradewinds blowing, listen to the sounds of the surf, and see the lights of Waikiki. You have your own private beach, while a little rough for swimming, it is great for surfing and sand play for the kids. The house comes with plenty of water toys to keep even the oldest of kids busy in the water. The house has almost every ammenity you want. The kitchen is well stocked for any meal and any utensil you need to cook is available. If you wanted to go out or had travel questions, there were tons of information books available. I would recommend skipping going out one evening and BBQ in the back and eat on the deck. It is an experience you will not want to miss. Laurie was very accomodating even for my handicapped mother-in-law, even going out of her way to supply additional items. If you are bringing someone in a wheelchair, make sure you get the smaller side, as it is much more wheelchair accessible. Darla and Laurie were great to work with. |

Homeowner Response:
We are always happy to have families. The times spent together are very precious. We alway try to accommodate the needs of all our guests. The beach is not always rough. Sometime offshore storms can bring in some waves. The waves are not dangerously high and they are great usually for boogie boarding. Compared to most of the island I would say the waves are average and quite tame most of the time. Often times you can see surfers at a distance. Most of our guest don't want to leave and many want to come back. We really were happy to have Michael and his family. Please do come back again! Aloha and best wishes to your family! Laurie and Darla
