Four of us settled into this lovely apartment after enduring a variety of cramped accommodations for almost 3 weeks while traveling in France and Serbia. What a welcome relief! The rooms were spacious, well-furnished, light-filled and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed, including a washer and dryer. The location could not have been better for us. We were within walking distance of so many of the sights we wanted to see and conveniently close to both Metro and buses for those that were further away. Our Paris experience could not have been better! Our thanks to Peter for letting us stay in this fantastic apartment and to Franck for his assistance in making our stay so stress-free. We will definitely be back.

I loved having an apartment rather than a hotel room when our family visited Paris. It allowed for relaxation time together and we enjoyed eating in for breakfast. The apartment is conveniently located within easy walking distance to several metro stops and Luxembourg Gardens. It was nicely decorated and haad everything that we needed for our time spent in Paris. I will go back to this apartment for my next visit.

This apartment is fabulous. It is very conveniently located to the entire city and has three metro stations and several restaurants and markets nearby. It has a lot of charm and the owner has worked very hard to think of all the five star hotel niceties.

We had the great pleasure to stay at this apartment
in September. We have stayed in several
apartments in Paris and this was the best by far.
The apartment is beautifully appointed with all the
creature comforts (including robes and slippers), a
well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, very nice
furnishings and artwork. The building is quiet and
conveniently located near a great farmers market,
the Bon Marche and several good restaurants. The
owner and his representative in Paris were
exceedingly helpful, providing suggestions and
doing everything they could to make our stay as
pleasant as possible. The location is great,
especially if you are traveling with young children
as we were. The Luxembourg Gardens are a short
block away and have all sorts of entertainment to
keep young ones busy for hours. Two very close
metro stops allow you to get wherever you desire in
the city. We travel to Paris every few years and will
hope to make this "our home away from home" on
future trips.

We felt like we were living "at home" in this beautifully decorated apartment; it didn't have a rental feel. It had all of the amenities that one would need and it was nice for our family (2 adults and 3 kids between the ages of 10 and 16) to be able to spread out and relax at the end of a long day of touring Paris. It turned out to be a much better option than taking two hotel rooms - in terms of cost, comfort, and overall Paris experience. The location - 2 blocks from Luxembourg Gardens - cannot be beat, with great access to numerous Metro lines, as well. We have no hesitation recommending this apartment to visitors and look forward to returning again, soon. Both Peter (US) and Franck (Paris) are extremely responsive to any questions or issues that arise before or during the stay - and with lots of tips about what's doing in the neighborhood and City. I'd recommend this apartment without hesitation. Rob R.

We had a great time in this beautiful apartment!
The only downside was that it was so comfortable
that it was hard to get leave in the morning and
tough to leave again for dinner in the evenings - so
obviously we didn't cover as much ground as usual.
But it was such a lovely experience; truly "living" in
Paris. My morning runs through the Luxembourg
gardens were some of the best moments of my
summer. And the kitchen is amazing! Thank you so
much. And thanks to Franck for all of his help.

I visited this apartment and can testify that it is a stylish, elegantly furnished, comfortable apartment in the best of Parisian styles. It combines a modern, uncluttered feel with antique furnishings of high quality. Add the quiet dignity of the neighborhood, the convenience to the Luxemburg gardens and public transportation (both metro and buses), and you have a place of very high quality in both convenience and beauty.

We've just returned from a visit to Paris in this beautiful apartment. It was as wonderful as the pictures show and the neighborhood couldn't have been lovelier! We had our 3 teenage children with us and everyone was happy and comfortable. It was very convenient to several metro stations, wonderful bakeries, markets and the best crepes we had in all of Paris were right there on the corner! Mr. de Castro and Frank were great to deal with and very prompt returning our deposit. We went on to London from Paris and weren't so lucky with our accommodations there. I highly recommend that anyone renting from a website like this choose based on positive guest comments. If there are no guest comments, there may be a reason why. We unfortunately learned this the hard way!! Needles to say, Paris was the highlight of our trip and we will treasure our experience there.

I had the pleasure of staying at the apartment in February 2009 for a week and could not wait to recommend the place to friends and family. In fact, I am returning to the apartment for another week in August. This location is not only great for family with children, as it is a few mins walk to the Luxenbourg Gardens, but its close proximity to the Latin Quarter and world class shopping at Bon Marche also make this an ideal location for adults/professionals. In addition to the great location, the apartment itself is well equipped with full amenities such as free international calls back to the States, free Wi-Fi (very important for those who need to be on top of things even when on vacation). The kitchen is also set up for a full gourmet cooking experience. This is especially easy to do thanks to the open air organic market around the corner.

The apartment also is located literally within a block to major transportation hubs, from the Metro to the Bus and the long distance trains.

The owner has been accomodating with personal phone calls prior to the trip to ensure needs are met during our stay, including tips on where to visit and how to get around the city.

I highly recommend this apartment.

Lovely apartment, fabulous neighborhood. Can't beat the Lux Gardens access. No problems whatsoever, I'd come again anytime, and would recommend without reservation to others. This neighborhood would be enjoyed by all ages, of course, but I'd say for families with younger children (ours are 5, 7 and 10), this is an especially desirable location, as Lux Gardens are so wonderful for kids

This apartment was truly lovely. It was in a quiet neighborhood, but very close to Luxembourg Gardens. The building was old, charming, and sedate. We never heard a peep from any of the neighbors.

All the furniture was in excellent condition, lots of it antique. Someone with good taste decorated the apartment. It felt like you were staying in someone’s carefully furnished home, not like a few sticks of furniture that had been thrown together for a rental place. Soft towels, nice sheets, elegant curtains...

The apartment had plenty of space for my husband and two teenaged children. It was a great setup, because the kids could sleep in the twin beds in one room, while my husband and I slept in the queen bedroom down the hall. I know it sounds odd, but there is a shower in the closet of the master bedroom, which is actually very convenient.

The kitchen was well-equipped, and it was great having a washer and dryer right there. The computer was also a wonderful perk. And we were there in July, so the air conditioning was a lifesaver. And being able to call anywhere in the world from the apartment telephone for free, was another huge advantage.

Also, Franck, the gentleman in charge of meeting us with keys and instructions when we arrived, did a great job of explaining things and orienting us, and was an all-round charming and helpful fellow.

I'd highly recommend this place.

This home away from home is at least as good as the owner's description of it! We loved being near some of our favorite restaurants -- La Couple has always been a great place to people-watch. Be there September first, the first R month after May June July August, and enjoy choosing the first oysters of the season from big basketfuls of different varieties, all briny/fresh smelling. But I should add that the excellent sharp knives and the well-equipped kitchen tempted me to bring home fresh produce and fish from nearby suppliers to cook at home. I liked pretending that I actually lived in Paris... I'll leave further discussion of food, by remembering to mention one more thing, an important one: the splendid location. The Metro is nearby; I was grateful I didn't have to walk for half an hour to catch the train, or spend that time coming home after a long day. I recommend this property to you for practical reasons as well as my fondness for the Luxemburg gardens and the pleasure of living une vie parisienne for a little while.

Our family, two adults and two teenage girls, loved Peter's apartment. It is centrally located, near two main metro stations, and is very comfortable (large living room couch and nice beds) and quiet. We had plenty of space to spread out and relax after very busy days touring Paris. I am a runner and enjoyed being near the Luxembourg Gardens, very peaceful and beautiful! The apartment is fully equipped with all new appliances and air-conditioners in both bedrooms. The unit is in a very secure building. There is also someone to greet you when you arrive and depart. If you have questions or need help getting to the airport, they are more than willing to help. Peter is most attentive and makes sure that you enjoy your stay! We would love to visit again!

Small, charming neighborhood hotels devoid of constant tourist influx have been my choice for visitis to Paris. I was elated to learn that this apartment in the Latin Quarter had become available for stays of various lengths. Also, I was aware that the owner is known to be a person of discerning taste and total attention to detail, this being his home when in Paris. Long experience living and traveling abroad have contributed to his choice of location, amenities, surrounding attractions, convenient sources of necessities and famed sites for leisure such as Luxembourg Gardens, enchanting all ages. In every way I found this an outstanding opportunity, adding a special quality to my stay in Paris.

With such charming yet up-to-date accommodations I could easily become an expatriate in Paris. I'm a cook, so a kitchen must be state of the art, and this one is--excellent appliances, great cutlery. And the freshest vegetables are just minutes away in the outdoor market at Boulevard Raspail. Location is also excellent.

A really nice apartment and a wonderful place to stay in Paris. We especially appreciated the space -- a large living room and nice dining room, and kitchen. The kitchen allowed us a lot more flexibility around meals. It's quiet, good neighborhood.

an excellent property. Bright and airy
apartment in classic parisian style. All mod
cons provided. The location is on a quiet
side street just off the Boulevard Raspail. It
is within minutes walk of two metro stops
and is very close to a number of excellent
restaurants in all price ranges. It is also
close to at least two or three small
convenience stores and for larger food
shopping Le Grand Epicerie at Le Bon
Marche - about 10 mins walk - is to be
recommended. The major benefit of the
apartment's location is its proximity to the
Luxembourg Gardens - 3 minutes - a great
place to relax or, as in our case, to entertain
small children. I should also add that the
owner could not be more helpful.

We had a very positive experience with 8 rue Huysmans. It is quiet, comfortable, clean and well appointed; a great place to relax after a day of site seeing. The amenities (washer,
dryer, oven, dishwasher, etc) all worked well. The location is
excellent, within easy walking distance to many restaurants, shopping,
and to the metro. There is a terrific patisserie nearby (rue d'Assas). Chez Marcel (7 rue Stanislas ~ two
blocks from 8 rue Huysmans) is a good restaurant for authentic French
cuisine in a low key kid friendly environment.

This apartment is a wonderful mix of French charm and up-to-date convenience. The owner has furnished it with obvious thought to comfort and style. The location could not be better with the proximity to the Luxembourg Gardens, open air market and yet a lovely, quiet neighborhood. I look forward to a future visit also.

The apartment could not have been more comfortable, the agent/greeter more helpful, the walk to the gardens was 5 minutes. There was so much to do at the gardens that I would go there every day. Pony rides for kids, a great jogging track, tennis courts, the famous puppet show, sailboats in the huge fountain and pond, the fish, ducks and sparrows being fed fresh baguettes. These will be fond memories I will retain forever.
We had a wonderful time in a fabulous apartment.
