My family and I stayed at this beach cottage in August 2009 and had an enjoyable, relaxing time. The cottage is old but was comfortable and the view was outstanding! The waves were a bit rough during our stay so we did not get to swim in this beach but we enjoyed the beach combing and sound of the surf. Also, the traffic in/out of Ewa Beach was not bad at all even when we traveled during the afternoon rush hour. |

My wife and I have never been to Hawaii before. We decided on oahu being the most populated, understanding that traffic in rush hour is bad anywhere on the island. When we arrived to the house it was clean with a view that will always be remembered. You can see waikiki and diamond, with plenty of beach front. Got to eat all the local food which is always fun and a filling experience. The house is very safe and secure, and you could make it an ice box if need be, us being from portland we never once used them being the house has a great breeze. When we come back to oahu we hope to rent this place again. |

The apartment was great! We stayed with 4 people for seven days and it felt like home. The house is not near Waikiki which is great because it's much more private. The patio and BBQ place fits perfect. The neighborhood is not the best one but we felt very safe. The apartment had everything we needed to have our breakfast outside and BBQ at night! Thanks Pam!

Homeowner Response:
Thank you Denise, I just wanted to make sure others knew it was a house, not an apartment. It is a safe area, as we have spent up to 6 weeks there, and never had a problem, nor has anyone else.

We just returned from our stay at this cottage in Ewa Beach. What a sweet sweet little house! I must say I had tears in my eyes when we had to leave this little "home by the sea..."
More Details: 1) The cottage is located off of an extremely busy road that gets worse at rush hour. This did not bother us as we were on vacation, and we worked around it. 2)When you first pull up to the neighborhood, you question if you are lost. There are many locals that live here, and this is their home. It may appear a bit rustic to some, but once you reach your final destination--the house is truly charming. 3) The cottage is obviously cared for by Pam and Al--when you arrive you will see the TLC they have put into this home. Fresh paint, homemade curtains, beautiful plants in the yard and cute artwork. If you are looking for a show home--this isn't the place for you--if you want a spectacular view, the sound of waves crashing against the shore and quiet serenity you will fall in love. 4)The water is crystal clear and warm, but there is a lot of coral on this side of the island--if you plan to swim or surf, be sure to bring Sand Shoes. 5)We still managed to visit all our planned destinations in Oahu despite the fact we were staying "off the beaten path"--we just added the extra travel time to our plans. We welcomed coming back to the house at night to get away from all the tourists in Waikiki and Honolulu. 6)Dining out can be very expensive on Oahu, so we cooked breakfast and dinner at the cottage each day--this saved us a lot of money. There are a couple of grocery stores close by, as well as as a Costco. However--be prepared, as groceries are expensive and a bit "different" from a typical mainland grocery store.
We would definately stay here again if we had the opportunity. Pam is a pleasure to work with. If you want to pack in a lot of activities and attractions this might not be the best fit for you--if you want a nice mix of attractions but also some pleasant down time, you will be very pleased. |

| We are currently at the beach house and LOVE IT!!. we have lived in Hawaii just down the road and know the area. the house is quaint, with a great fenced yard and miles of sandy beach. the diamond head and honolulu city views are great and so are the sunrises and sunsets. the house has everything you need and Ewa Beach and Kapolei are close for shopping, eating out. You will always eat in, BBQ and eat on the deck watching the sunset and listening to the ocean, a table view like this in waikiki would cost $100's per meal and you can have it anytime. Pam is great to work with, made it effortless. will stay here everytime, just wish we didnt have to leave. |
