Beautiful large home! Three of us stayed here while attending a conference at the Gaylord National Harbor Resort. We felt very spoiled while there and enjoyed the amenities and comfort it provided. Very convenient and about a 15 min. drive to the resort. The next door neighbor recommended "Charlie's", a local restaurant, for dinner which we went to twice while there. Delicious food and the owner and his wife were delightful and made us feel like we had already made new friends in the D.C. area.

Our very large family stayed over the Labor Day Weekend (2009) and had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home!! Mike and Lynn were very accomodating in providing all of the little things we requested to enable us to have a special time in the DC area. I don't think you could have a better VRBO experience!

My family stayed in this beautiful home for our annual family vacation and we were thrilled. In fact, we only went into DC one day. We ended up staying around the house and just enjoyed it and each other's company. The house, or mansion as my granddaughter preferred to call it, looked just like the pictures! Truly a wonderful home, with lots to do. Mike and Lynn made the entire rental process easy, too. Thank you so much! The Watenza Family |

Where to start? Mike & Lynn were such gracious hosts. Our entire group (3 adults, 7 middle school aged children) had a blast! The hardest part was getting the kids to leave the house to visit the sites in DC! I often rent from VRBO and I am used to bringing disposable products, spices, linens, etc to ensure a comfortable stay -- Mike & Lynn provided it all! If you're looking for a luxurious, comfortable, and FUN home where you can spend lots of quality time with family, feel safe, yet be convenient to all area attractions, this is it!!! Thanks for making our trip so special!

Our family had a great time in this house. There is TONS of space for everyone to spread out or gather and hang out. We've stayed in many vacation rentals in various locations. This was hands down our best vacation ever!

This house was lovely and plenty big enough for our large group. The house has all the amenities (and more) that we could have hoped for. It's a short car ride to the Metro and the National Harbor area, great spot for sightseeing or just hanging with the family. Thanks Mike and Lynn.

Mike and Lynn's place exceeded our hopes and expectations. Quiet, yet a short hop to the action. The home is peaceful, winsome, well apportioned, and offers plenty of diversions to relax after busy Capitol days. Even our tribe of 9 had extra space. Thanks so much.

The house was large and comfortable. The master bath had the best shower in the world. The home theatre in the basement was a pleasant and affordable way to relax in the evening. Very convenient to the Gaylord Convention center in National Harbor.

Awesome "There was 15 of us that joined together from around the world for a convention at the Gaylord , the house was very close to it and no traffic which was great. We enjoyed great dinners at the home plenty of room for everyone , most of us gathered around the kitchen island and chatted seemed to be the core gathering place of the house. We didn't spend many nights out because we really loved being at the house watching movies together on the theatre or playing a game of pool. Or just playing card games on the big table.Watching the dear go by as we had a morning coffee was a treat. The house is beautiful all around and no one wanted to leave.A must stay if you are going to washington. If you are here do not miss going to the Bobby Mcgee Piano bar in front of the Gaylord convention centre and also on the 18th floor of the convention centre is a great dance club that we didn't know about until the 3rd day in.Definatly coming back to this house on our next convention, close to shopping , restauarants and only a short drive into washington to see the sites. Thanks Mike and Lynn for a great experience."

This house is a gem!It was perfect for our large family's trip to Washington, DC for the inauguration. The house is convenient to shopping, the Metro, and the city. All age groups in our family loved having a wireless environment with high speed internet! Best of all, were those beautiful, plasma screen TVs with dozens of channels, all over the house. VRBO is the way to go with large families.

Homeowner Response:
Craig is the Corporate Director of Kokua Hospitality opening up a 190 Bed Hotel (ALoft) at the National Harbor. We are very happy to accommodate his staff for the job fair at the Gaylord National Convention Center. This is coming from a man that knows the hotel business.

Wow - Excellent - I'll stay here again! This house is even nicer than it looks on line - it is just as advertised, new and very high quality with lots of extras. The owners were great and accessible, they answered our every need and question promptly. I have highly recommended this property to my friends and family. There's no question that this is far better than staying in a hotel, and it's a beautiful place. Nice neighborhod in wooded area near the Potomac. We drove to D.C. for touring every day, about 15 miles and easy drive. You could also drive to the Metrorail station which might be ten to fifteen minutes away and take that into town. Gourmet kitchen was spacious, as was the table in the adjoining area that seated all 10 of us easily. Details such as crown molding throughout, granite and marble, plasma TV's in every room, quality furniture, working wireless internet connection, architectural details, fireplace and yes a very nice movie theater all added to the comfortable feel of the place. Two of the bathrooms are like spas with huge showers that squirt from all directions - nice. The place was spotless. Our group was two families with children totaling 10 people, and the layout worked great for us to stay there with plenty of room. I'm so glad we didn't cram into a couple of hotel rooms for 6 days - it was great to have the room for everyone (mainly the kids) both inside and out, it really is around 7600 square feet like advertised. This was a perfect home base for touring the monuments and museums of D.C., and allowed us to come home to cook meals and just hang out when we needed to. Nice to start the day being able to get ready and make a leisurely breakfast instead of going out to every meal. Well worth the price, great memory, we loved it! The house was great for our family and provided lots of room for the large group. Plenty to do for the kids in the house, and the kitchen had enough space to cook multiple turkeys for the family Thanksgiving Holidays. The location was fairly close to a rail stop which was perfect for a full day of sightseeing in DC. Can't wait to be back. Thanks again.

We enjoyed you home very much. The master shower was a big hit. Even though Nanny & Papa got the master bedroom, we all took our turn at the shower, lol – Heaven on earth – lol. I can’t really expound on how much we loved your home right now though, as I’ve been away from the office now for 10 days and have work stacked up and backed up. Thanks – Terry, Montezuma Kansas

What a great place! We had a group of 12 adults and each couple had their own bedroom plus lots of spaces to hang out in as a large group or in small groups. The kitchen is large and accomodating for cooking - all of the utensils you would need. The spacious and plentiful bathrooms were perfect. Feel free to email me with specific questions. |

What a great house. Top of the line linens, furniture, plenty of big screen tv's for the males in your party. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and relax after a day of sight seeing in the steamy city. And it was an easy drive in to all the major sites in D.C. Owners were very responsive when alarm unexpectedly went off. Will definitely come back next time we go to DC.

Our group of 15 (12 adults & 3 wee ones) came to DC for a Military Funeral at Arlington. The Braemer Circle home was ideally suited for our family; close enough to the District for easy access but far enough to provide country-ease. Nicely furnished and well maintained. Would definitely use on our next trip. Lynn & Mike were most gracious & responsive hosts.

The house was awesome. I had a group of 12 and there was more than ample space. We love all of the showers and tubs. It was beautiful. We enjoyed watching movies on movies on the big screen in the entertainment room. The location was beautiful. It was in a quiet upscale neighborhood and getting to DC was never more than 20 minutes by car. The owner is very accommodating and helpful. We had a great stay and definitely would recommend it to all of our friends. It's great for a family get together and much better then staying at a hotel.

Fantastic Vacation Home! My friends and I were so comfortable here, and enjoyed relaxing in this spacious home so much that we cut some of our sight seeing short just to be able to spend quality time together and wind down on our long road trip. Awesome beds and showers and a fun big screen to watch movies. Fort Washington Park just down the road was a real treat...we were going just to play ball but found a whole historical fortress to explore. Owner will go out of his way to be hospitable. Be sure to request the addition of clause 55 when you make arrangements to stay here!

We stayed in this beautiful property the week of July 4. It was wonderful, just like something out of HGTV. It was spacious with exquisite amenities. We had a group of twelve and space was never an issue. To get to downtown DC it was a short simple drive to Huntington station and then in on the Metro. We had a great stay and would not hesitate to use the property again. For a large family get toghether it was a lot better than any hotel.
