| We had our first taste of Sharky's Coffee at the Hilo Farmers Market on our last visit to Hawaii about 5 years ago. It was simply the best coffee we have ever tasted and have been drinking it ever since. When we learned that there are now cottages at the Sharky's Coffee plantation, we just had to visit. Scott and Sylvia are the most wonderful people. They are very accommodating and make us feel very pampered. Their place is immaculate with all the comforts of home and it is very close to the Volcano national park and black sand beaches. Their jacuzzi is a welcome treat after a long day's hike at the Volcano National Park. We are very happy to have stayed at their place and appreciate their hospitality. We hope to visit their place soon again when we visit Hawaii. We recommend their place very highly and give their place a rating of AAAA++++. Their place is a paradise and we missed it already! |

| Wow, We stayed at the coffee cottage in June 2009. We came up the driveway and knew that we had stumbled across a real paradise, the orchard was so green and beautiful. We opened the door and discovered what a 5 star cottage would look like. The kitchen had all the modern features with Granite counter tops through out. Then we open the french doors to a wonderful screen in Porch with our own Hot Tub and private outdoor furniture overlooking the coffee orchard. The bed was so wonderful my husband and I overslept for the first time in years. Then the wonderful grown coffee, with the sounds of the rainforest. We felt like we landed in the garden of Eden. Thank you Scott and Silvia you made our first trip to Hawaii unforgettable, plus you have coffee customers for life!! |

| Aloha...I just spent a month at Scott and Sylvia's place while working on property nearby. You'll have a hard time finding a better place to stay, nicer folks, or finer coffee. Can't wait to get back. Thanks Scott for your help and recommendations on my building project. You saved me a lot of money and problems with your advice. GREAT PLACE! 5-STAR ***** |

| I was lucky enough to get to stay at Scott and Sylvia's property , if you are planning any time on this side of the Big Island this is a must stay. It is located in a quiet neighborhood, just the sounds of nature. I will be staying there on my next visit. |

We found out Scott and Silvia had this place and we knew we had to stay there. When we walked in for the first time it was like we were afraid to disturb anything because it was so tidy and clean, it was like we were the first persons to stay there. After our initial WOW, we settled in and found it to be very comfortable and secure. Everything and anything we thought of was already there, from utinsels to having coffee grown right there on the property for our use. They have put so much thought and care into this place, I cannot imagine you should want for anything more, just head to the grocery store, stock the fridge, and you're home! If you like to hear sirens and traffic and rude people in the hallways at all hours, go stay at a hotel. If you like the sounds nature has to offer to lull you to sleep, and getting up and having a cup of coffee on a covered, screened lanai, listening to the birds songs, stay here! You won't beat the price, in fact you won't even come close, and your hosts are wonderful folks who bend over backwards to make you comfortable, we miss them already! Mahalo Scott, Silvia and family, can't wait to see you guys again! |

| If I could write this commentary for the guidebook 'The Big Island Revealed', this rental would be listed as a 'real gem.' The cottage's layout is spacious and tastefully decorated with a bed as comfortable as The Westin. Sylvia has thought of every amenity possible to make your stay feel like your 'home away from home'. This is an awesome location to explore so many of the Big Island's beautiful treasures. Again, a 'real gem.' P.S. You can't beat the wonderful coffee supplied as part of your stay that Scott and Sylvia grow on location. |

| This is an excellent place to stay when exploring the Hilo, Puna and Volcano National Park areas. The proximity, especially to the park, allowed for early starts well in advance of the tour buses. Nicely furnished with all the amenities including an extremely comfortable bed. Scott and his family went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Had a great visit. |

Aloha,
I rented this unit for two a 2 night stay. This is a newly built fully furnished rental that is beautifully decorated. It is in a very quiet and serene area and setting. Being able to relax and read is very important to me. I spent a lot of time reading and relaxing on the lanai. The lanai overlooks the rows of coffee plants and it is fully screened to make it as comfortable as possible. The hot tub is a nice touch! And having freshly roasted and ground coffee for me to drink in the mornings was heaven! The temperature during the day was warm and not too hot and at night it was cool. It was a perfect stay in a beautiful place. It just doesn't get any better than this! I rate this place AAA+. |

Aloha, Well what can I say, what a great time! My wife and I where the first to stay at Sharky's coffee farm and this is the first of many trips to come. We are going to become part of Scott's family. Ha Ha. The smell of the coffee fresh in the fields, the quite nights all the way down to the Egyptian cotton sheets we felt like Hawaiian Royalty. Thank you Scott and Silvia. Tracy and Linda |

| I stayed at this beautiful new cottage in May and it was absolutely wonderful making it a dream vacation. Everything was top of the line from the beautiful wood floors, new appliances and granite countertops. They even gave me coffee for my stay grown right on the property and it was the BEST coffee I've ever tasted! The cottage is centrally located to the Volcano Park, black sand beaches, great snorkeling and all the conveniences of Hilo all about 30 minutes away. Another bonus is the owners are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet and full of aloha! The property was very peaceful and private and I could smell the sweet smell of the coffee blossoms while enjoying the hot tub. I'm on this site today to inquire about my next trip to the Hawaiian Coffee Cottages later this summer, I can't wait! |
