| We stayed nearly 3 weeks at River bend casita and really would have loved to stay even longer...The casita is so comfortable and absolutely well equipped, even all kind of spices and other very helpful things were around, wonderful books and DVDs for the evenings. From the house we had a wonderful view 360° degree- having breakfast with the Pedernal view- having lunch or dinner with the view towards the river Chama and the colourful cliffs of Ghost Ranch. Even inside the house we did not really feel inside ,as there are so big windows nature is all around you. We really highly recommend this casita to everyone who is looking for absolute quiet, wild nature and a very comfortable house to stay in. |

| Three college friends and I enjoy having a mini-reunion every two or three years. The River Bend Casita will go down as one of our favorites. Not only did we super-relax in this lovely environment, the photographers in our group came back with shots that I've already printed, framed, and hung. We enjoyed two meals at the Abiquiu Inn--their tamale cakes are wonderful! Good food. The Casita is lovely and it is certainly easy to forget all your troubles there! |

The house was an amazing retreat... far from our normal urban hustle. Highly recommended - pack in some food and hunker down. In our week in April we had amazing weather - a bit of snow to make the hot tub all the better. Perfect NM sun.
A great place to unplug and reconnect with the world. |

| Scott, your house was the perfect antidote to a stressful week. Drinking coffee with a view of Pedernal was a fabulous way to start the morning. Sipping champagne in the hot tub under the stars was the romantic ending to the evening. |

This Casita is absolutely lovely. Pictures are unable to do it justice. My husband and I spent New Year's here on a whim and absolutely loved it. The views from the casita are wonderful. The interior has been well decorated and is very comfortable and enjoyable. We're already eagerly anticipating our next trip! Brian & Christina, Colorado |

Scott & Glynn, What can I say? We drove up to the Casita at River Bend and when we walked in we immediately felt at home. The Casita is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. It had everything we could have wanted or needed for our three night stay. We enjoyed being able to have candlelight dinners using the candles you have available for guests use. Being able to soak in the outdoor hot tub at night under the stars was awesome. We did venture out and about during the day but couldn't wait to get back to the Casita to enjoy our home away from home...the spectacular views, the hot tub and all the comforts you make available to your guests. We sure do hope to be able to come back and stay sometime in the future. |

| I stayed at the Casita with my dogs from the evening of August 31st until the morning of September 9th. I am a physical therapist at a very busy and hectic clinic in Los Lunas, New Mexico - I need to get away! I wanted a vacation away from all the stress and noise of a busy office. This was perfect! The house itself and all its amenities were perfect. I kayaked primarily in the Rio Chama and Rio Puerco estuary with access just 10 minutes from the house (must have an SUV if you want to get your kayak or canoe to the water). The views at and around the house were gorgeous all day long, even on cloudy days. At night you can even see the stars while lying in bed in the master bedroom. The most incredible thing is that if you visit Monastery of Christ in the Desert, Ghost Canyon, kayak the estuary all the way to where Rio Chama comes in and then get back to the house you can actually see ALL those places you visited from the house. Oddly enough, at home in Peralta, I wake up every day with some pains and aches in multiple body parts (too many injures from sports) that go away as I start moving around, but at the Casita I woke up every morning painfree! It could be the bed or perhaps the place. For those of you looking for a place to rest or do as much or as little as you can (run, road bike, mountain bike, boat, hike) this is the place. It has everything. For those of you who like to paint, write or do photography this too is the place. I left the casita rested, re-energized, inspired and with the desire to return as soon as it is possible; maybe even this winter. You can view my photos of this vacation but you’ll have to e-mail me as this does not allow me to post the site at imageevent dot com. — Thank you for providing this place to make my vacation as I wanted it to be. |

Comment Text: We have been to New Mexico many times and we must say that this was the most beautiful and wonderful trip yet. The casita was awesome and the 360 views were utterly spectacular. We made several side trips to Ghost Ranch for hiking but could not wait to get back to our temporary home each day. It truly was a fairytale location and Scott & Glynn could not have been more accommodating. Hope to visit again & again...

| Glynn & Scott – Our 8 night stay (August 2008) in your lovely casita on the mesa was the highlight of our vacation. The views from both porches and every window were spectacular. The casita was exceptional – huge fluffy towels, amazing bedding and fabulous kitchen with all new stainless appliances and fully furnished with everything we needed to make great evening meals. Loved the spices you had in the cabinets - what a fun touch!. We loved the dimmable lights (amber spots & track lights) - amazing mood lighting for the evenings. The perfect place to either enjoy an amazing day just hanging out (bring a sketch pad – even if you are not that “artistic”, trust me, you will be inspired) or a starting out point for day trips (Taos, Ghost Ranch Hiking, Abiquiu Lake & below the Dam, hiking the Plaza Blanca & Poshuouinge Ruins in Abiquiu). The sunsets every evening were so intense and colorful. One early morning we had a double rainbow that both ends were visible. The hot tub in the evenings made for great star viewing. The daily dilemma was which porch should we eat breakfast/dinner at? Either the front porch with the view of Georgia’s O’keeffe’s El Pedernal or the back porch which overlooks the rivers flowing into Abiquiu Lake and the canyons beyond. We got great WIFI on our laptop. We could have easily spent another week exploring the area. We cannot express how much we enjoyed your charming casita. It was truly delightful. Highly recommend! | For those travelers who want to enhance their Santa Fe experience, Abiquiu is a must see! River Bend casita is an excellant value. We rafted the Chama River, fished Abiquiu Lake, hiked the Echo Amitheater and visited Ghost Ranch. Recommend your casita? You Betcha! |

We just finished a magical week staying at the River Bend Casita. The casita was perfect for our needs. The windows in every room looked out onto truly magnificent and unforgettable vistas. The towels were plush. The coffee grinder worked! And we will never forget the meteorite shower we watched the first night we were enjoying the hot tub. We were only 20 minutes from Ghost Ranch and 15 minutes from Bode's general store, in Abiquiu, where we could easily stock up on groceries. Yet, we felt like we were alone on this high desert mesa because of the off-the-radar location of the casita. We wanted to be near Ghost Ranch because we were attending their "Secrets of Raku" clay class. Staying at the casita actually energized our creativity and inspired our work. When we weren't making art we were swimming in Abiquiu lake. Needless to say . . . we will be back next summer. Thanks so much! |
