Your escape from the city noise and bustle is nearby. Consider an easy getaway to the eastern shore of Maryland. You need very little planning to take advantage of a staycation weekend in Cambridge, Md. on the Choptank River of the Chesapeake Bay.
Take a day trip (free) to Poplar Island and learn how an island is being rebuilt. Or just kick back with a cool drink and listen to the calming sounds of nature.

Whit's End was the perfect weekend getaway.
Despite only being there for a weekend we utilized
every inch of the property and house. From the
spacious yard to the pool or dock this is a great
retreat for friends and family. Our only wish is that
we could have stayed longer. Once you visit you
will see what others in this guestbook have
experienced. If available we will be repeat
customers. |

| House is much larger than it appears, the rooms are lovely, the house well maintained and comfortable. Lots of private, water-view land for you nature lovers; the outdoor features are outstanding and give the property the feel of an oasis. |

First of all we want to thank the owner for sharing
such a fabulous retreat with us. To wake up seeing
8 beautiful white swans swimming into Jenkins
creek, most mornings, was a wonderful surprise. As
I said when we arrived the pictures on the website
don't do this place justice. The house is large and
very comfortable. The 2 acres are almost
surrounded by water and the views out every
window are all unique and calming. The bikes,
goldfish pond, pingpong, jukebox, pool, HOTTUB,
dock, kayak, yard games, crab pots, library, TV's,
wildlife, screened porch etc...kept us and the
children very busy and very relaxed!!! Cambridge is
charming and the seafood was fabulous!!!! WE WILL
BE BACK!! |

The property is spacious and beautiful. Location is great! Close enough to town to make those quick store runs, but far enough off the beaten path to experience serenity.
The property owner has thought of everything and she goes out of her way to make sure you experience a five star stay. I'm already booked for next year. |

| This is a great winter getaway location with all the comforts and entertainment items for cold days. Great view, hot tub, fireplace, and entertainment center for winter football games. Fully stocked kitchen and quiet location make it a great place to read and just relax. |

| The property was fantastic! The owner has thought of every convenience and the house is beautiful, loved the hot tub and fishing and crabbing off the pier. We have already booked for next year and can't wait to return. |

Consider enjoying the delicious eastern shore autumn season where the Dog Days of August have turned into those golden Indian summer days of September and October. The pool is open until the end of September and the water is fine!
