Wow! What an amazing house and view. My family and I had the best vacation we've ever had. The house fit our family perfect and the Ping Pong table was such a delight! Best House in the area and great price too!

Well it was absolutely beautiful - the house and area were even more beautiful than the last time three years ago. Your house is so clean and fresh and there are such great views from every window. Weather was picture perfect and we were not ready to leave. We will be returning if it is still available!

Very private, comfortable and quiet setting in the woods, we could only see one other house in any direction. Well stocked kitchen. Clean. Unbeatable view. Convenient to town but secluded. 15-20 minute drive to Winter Park and a 10 minute drive to Sol Vista.

Huge for a three bedroom house (there's also a loft). I think it was
bigger than the house I live in. Not a lot of frills (hot tub), but a ping pong table, plenty of board games, DVD and stereo are included. If we return to Winter Park, we would stay here again.

Great location with beautiful views! Our family loved the clean and comfortable atmosphere of this house. Our kids played ping-pong when not skiing, tubing or sleeping. While there, we had four deer (almost within petting range) come up to the front porch. What a beautiful sight! The owners are great about providing information regarding the local community and events. I would recommend this place for those looking for R & R.

Jeanie & Paul: Thanks for two GLORIOUS weeks on three secluded acres of heaven. Our golden retriever had as much fun as any of us. This was our SECOND trip to the Mountain House, and just as special as the first. We can't wait to come back. You've got it all: a clean, quiet, roomy place to stay, shopping in WP and Grand Lake, Rocky Mtn. NP, hiking, fishing, and now, THREE Starbucks within 20 minutes: WP village, Safeway (Fraser), and City Market (Sol Vista). And all at a resonable price! Who could ask for more? Thanks for sharing your home.

We live west of Houston, TX, so we don't see much snow! We were really looking forward to our first family ski trip together, my husband, teenage son, and I. We had a wonderful time skiing in Winter Park, and it was great to come back to the comfort and warmth of the Mt. House! The view out of the front window is breathtaking! I loved being able to see it while eating breakfast every morning. We had everything we needed. It felt just like home, except a bit bigger!

Jeanie: We would like to thank you once again for the opportunity to rent The Mountain House during the week of Christmas thru New Years. We had an excellant time an the accommodations were wonderful. It was a great place to spend the week away from our busy schedules. Will certainly consider staying thre again in the future.

Close to towns for groceries, etc., and to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, yet secluded enough to just watch nature and relax. Great place to stay.

The mountain house was even better than we expected. It was very clean. The views were wonderful and the house very spacious. I would recommend this house highly. The location is close enough to the Safeway and Winterpark and also good for the Rocky Mtn. National Park.

The mountain house is a beautiful place to escape to. The house itself is wonderful and very clean. Great views from the living room and a spacious kitchen to cook in. We brought our dogs with us and they loved it there. It's very resonable in price and worth the trip.

This was such a memorable vacation at your wonderful home. We all really enjoyed the tubing right outside the house. The house was stocked with everything you could possibly need and it was so secluded and scenic. We would love to come back. Jeanie you were so helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. Thanks so much for everything!!!

My husband and I love to vacation in Colorado during the summers but we decided to go at the end of September this year - it was gorgeous - this house was absolutely wonderful - we hope to come back next fall. The wildlife right outside our backdoor was so unexpected - we loved it! I'd recommend this to anyone that needs to get away and get their batteries recharged!

We had a wonderful week at the Mountain House. Color was spectacular we hiked, kicked back and watched the stars, went to Granby Lake and into Winter Park. But mostly we just walked around the area where the house is. Very peaceful and serene. Will go back next year. My dog is already dreaming of next year at the Mountain House. Everything you wanted in a vacation and more.

We had a hectic 2-3 weeks that saw us postpone our 30th anniversary... THIS was the place to go to recharge our batteries! We were able to sit back, read, enjoy the FABULOUS view, wander through Winter Park, and drive along some REALLY back roads... We'll go again!

What an incredible retreat! The views from this home, sitting at the top of the mountain, are astounding. You can see mile upon mile of breath-taking Colorado mountain scenery! We snow-shoed, cross-country skied and sledded, all without stepping foot in the car. When we got chilly, it was the perfect respite to return to the warmth of the wood-burning stove, sip hot chocolate, and enjoy the views again. We went tubing at the Frasier sledding hill (what an exhilarating experience - you've got to try it) skied at Sol Vista and Winter Park, and soaked in the Hot Sulphur Mineral Springs. We cooked part of the time and it was great to be able to pack lunches for the ski resort and avoid paying gourmet prices for cafeteria food. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. When we didn't want to cook, it was only a short drive to the restaurants in Granby, Winter Park, and Hot Sulphur Springs. There is so much to do, the children didn't have a chance to get bored. I can't say enough about this wonderful home. We will be back.

I have had the privilege and blessing of staying at the house with my two children. There was ample space for indoor and outdoor play! We thoroughly enjoyed the spaciousness of the house and loved the views from the deck. After being there in the winter, we hope to return in the summer.

I had a great time staying at this house. The house itself is spacious and clean. The kitchen is well equiped. My kids enjoyed playing ping pong and playing a lot of the board games that are up there. The location is central to a lot of fun activities. We enjoyed skiing at both Winter Park and Sol Vista. We even went over to Snow Mountain Ranch and did some swimming and cross country skiing. Like advertized, the view from the house is amazing! I would highly recommend this house for some time away in the mountains

I stayed in this lovely accommodation in February 2000 with the owner herself! In spite of her profuse apologies for the "lack of snow" that year, I believe the worst snow in the Colorado Rockies beats the best snow in Washington State any day, powder that is fun to fall down in. We snapped on our cross-country skis and skied right out the front door to groomed trails and lots and lots of sunshine. After that, to cozy up in this lovely view property and indulge in our own favorite food and beverage was the frosting on the cake.
