My husband and I just got back from 10 days in Amsterdam and were lucky enough to find this wonderful townhouse to stay in. This townhouse has three levels so it is rather large. It was very clean, comfortable and in the best neighborhood that I have stayed in yet and I go to Amsterdam alot. It is in The Jordaan and it on a quiet street that is safe and very close to everything you could want to do and see. The owner is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend this wonderful townhouse to anyone who wants a very special holiday.

| What a great apartment! The location in the Jordaan is perfect - cafes, restaurants and stores are all nearby. The apartment itself was wonderful - large, clean, comfortable. We had a great experience working with the owner - very accommodating. I highly recommend this apartment. |

This is such a great place from which to explore Amsterdam. The Jordaan area is so relaxed, it feels a million miles away from the red light district which can be very 'intense'! The apartment itself really is fantastic, and the owner is very open to questions and requests. All in all a brilliant apartment in a brilliant city. And yes..... the stairs ARE a nightmare after too many beers!

We just returned from this apt. (May/05) and loved the location. The Jordaan is beautiful and the street outside was quiet. There is easy access to public transport, and there are lots of restaurants almost outside your door. The apt. is well equipped and the roof top deck is great! Now the stairs are a bit of a wonder, but we got used to them and I was surprised upon leaving that I was actually going to miss them. An authentic Amsterdam experience!
Would I stay again? Absolutely. (We also found the owner to be very nice and responsive by e-mail.)

This was our third trip to Amsterdam and stayed in nice hotels until we discovered this apartment. Now we probably won't stay anywhere else! Initially, the stairs will freak you out. But even after killer bike rides and frequent coffeeshop visits (incl Barney's our favorite just around the corner), we mastered ALL 4 SETS of stairs in no time! The TV had many available channels and couch was comfortable, but better to go out and people-watch or kick back on the roof deck! CD players work great. And what a great washer/dryer combo! The landlord, Mok, was very nice and available whenever I had questions. If you run into Lee at check in, he turned us on to some great places to eat. Make sure to get the hot water tip from Mok.
We LOVE Amsterdam and this apartment, so we'd be happy to answer any questions. We've done lots of bike riding, disc golf, train travel and now consider ourselves "coffeeshop connoisseurs"! Stayed in fall, winter, summer (next time, Spring). |

My wife and I have stayed at this apartment three times over the past three years. Wonderful place, centrally located. Well equipped. Nice roof deck. Landlord has been very accomodating. We will be staying there again this year. You gotta love stairs! Each room is a different floor. Narrow, steep staircases so leave your steamer trunk at home. Travel light and enjoy the 'dam |

| I stayed here with my mom from Nov 10-20 of 2003. Some of the best things about this apartment are: neighborhood/location, size, rooftop deck, "local" feel, and losing a few pounds going up and down those stairs! They're even more steep in person, but it's a true Amsterdam experience and I loved every minute of it and I'm proud to say that I'm now a size 4. There are great pubs, cafes and coffee shops nearby. This is a safe and quiet neighborhood. I never had any problems walking home alone at 3am(and I'm a 21 yr old American female.) The big windows are great. The bed (bedroom-4th floor)is very comfortable, although after walking around town for 16 hours and stopping for a Heineken at pubs all along the way, I usually only made it to the living room (3rd floor) and ended up falling asleep on the couch. The tv only had about 7 channels that came in black and white, but please spend your time doing something besides watching TV. I suggest leaving it on MTV when you are there, as that was the most entertaining channel I found. Go see the city...there's so much to see and do! Or have a drink or smoke on the rooftop deck! I plan on coming back in 2004. Also...Lee, the housekeeper was great!! If anyone wants any more info...feel free to email me. |
