I and my friends have stayed at the Mountain Vista B &B in Siverthorne (near Dillon and Frisco, CO) many times and have met many guest from around the world who are also repeat visitors. It is a charming place that has bedrooms for 2 or 3 people or a room with 2 sets of bunk beds (lower bed is a double and the upper bed is a singe for each of the two.) Barry and Carrie are great hosts and very familiar with the ski areas and restaurants. Breakfast is supplied on a "make your own basis" but everything (egg burritos, hot and cold cereals, fruits, juices, muffins, bagels, coffee, tea or hot chocolates) is supplied. Each room has storage space in the kitchen area for food and space in the refrigerator so you can prepare your own lunch to take to the slopes everyday and even prepare your own dinner right there if you want to. Sometimes people who are staying there chip in and make a community dinner which is fun. There are many convenient restaurants to choose from nearby otherwise. There is a computer available and big screen TV as well as a stereo. An indoor hot tub fits four is also on premises as well as a washer and dryer, ski and boot storage. The price is the best value I have seen and I have been going to Colorado for thirty years. It is a friendly, relaxed place to visit and close ( 15-35 min) to six great mountains- -Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Copper, Vail, and Beaver Creek. It is right off of Interstate 70. I could not be more enthusiastic about staying there and from the comments that I read in their comments book, many people feel the same way. |
