We stayed for 6 nights in mid-February, 2009. Two adults and two teenage kids. The condominium was perfect for us.
The pictures on the website, although accurate, don't really do the place justice. Somehow it is more spacious and has better sight lines than the photos convey. We had plenty of space for doing things together or for being alone. We made meals, watched movies, used the outside hot tub and inside Jacuzzi, read books, deferred washing dishes, got some work done on our laptops and lounged throughout the whole floorplan. Otherwise, we skied and slept a lot.
We could have walked to River Run, but admittedly didn't. The condo is as close as you can get, and yet is on a quiet street.
We did walk into town, since the other side of the complex is just below Main Street. Again, no noise.
There is lots of space to put away clothes and gear, but also enough room to live out of your luggage and throw clothes on the floor without feeling bad about it. Space is organized well enough not to accumulate clutter.
I have been going to Sun Valley for 15 years, usually staying in friends' houses outside of town. That didn't happen this year. Since we made reservations at the last minute, we were worried that good places wouldn't be available. But we were very pleased with this condominium. It is close to everything. It is a nice, solid building, well-designed and well built. The furnishings are comfortable and new. And Ketchum is always great.
Lisa also was very easy to work with. She was accessible by phone and email, willing to answer any questions, very low key, and ready to have local friends come over to address any issues.
Next time we will skip all the research and just call Lisa. |
