The cottage was more than we ever expected! Interestingly designed, totally secluded and equipped with anything you need including Internet. It was perfect but be prepared for the mosquitoes (a general comment for all of Hana). With its solar power, it also allowed us to reduce our footprint.
Our hosts, Terry (fantastically efficient) and the super energetic Michael could not be more welcoming and generous. Thank you both for such a wonderful time and for sharing so much. We want to come back!

P.S. If you go, ask them about garage sales ?.

This cottage is heaven on Earth, with the ocean breezes and the amazing flowers on the property, the most comfortable bed I've slept in for a while. The owners live in a main house nearby and are charming and very accomodating. Terry even made me a little care package the first night I got there, with some fresh eggs for breakfast! They were helpful, but let me have my privacy, too. If I didn't look for them, I didn't know they were there.
It's a great place to start out the day and come back to after exploring the most amazing sights on the island. It's very secluded and quiet, and I always felt safe and comfortable, as a woman traveling alone. I slept with the doors open. Definitely a place to enjoy with a significant other, though! Very cozy. I will be back...

| This cottage is fabulous. We could have easily spent much more time here. It's breathtakingly beautiful, and you will really feel like you're on vacation. When the heavy rains caused a power outage, we cozied up by the wood stove, cooked dinner on the grill, and delighted in our candlelight evening (thank you, Mr. Kristiansen for the extra flashlight and candles). We sat on the lanai, lingering over our coffee and the gorgeous sights and sounds. Oh, and the bed is heavenly. If you're spending time on this side of the island, this is where you want to stay. |
