The entire experience of Villa Mandriola surpassed all our expectations. We all leave with special memories that we will always cherish. The Villa is situated in a stunning part of Veneto and although it's close to popular tourist spots like Venice, Padua itself, Verona, Bologna and Vicenza, it's removed enough to allow us to spend time enjoying real, unspoilt rural Northeast Italy.
Despite spending a lot longer than most at Villa Mandriola, we were never bored - there's so much to do and see - from walking, cycling and sight-seeing, to historic sites, grottos, thermal spas, fantastic markets and as well beaches. We even visited Florence and Milan and my husband, brother-in-law and cousin played golf! We also particularly enjoyed the visit to the thermal baths at Montegrotto and Abano Terme, the wine tasting tour and lunch at the Agriturismo (excellent wine).
When we weren't out exploring, or eating, we had a wonderful time just relaxing by the pool or by just feeling the history of the place that we were experiencing. Our two children (8 and 12) were never short of friends playing with Rex and had a fantastic time swimming and running around the parkland in complete safety. We will never forget the absolutely breathtaking views over the park, the marvellous weather, the wonderful italian wines, of course... the city of Padua, but mostly... the WONDERFUL Italian people!!
The owners were friendly and offered advice when asked on a range of enquiries.....where to go, what to do etc.. They make us feel at home... There are also plenty of advertising material provided about places to visit. Thank you for such a lovely break, we couldn't have asked for a better way to spend a very special family holiday. Grazie! "

There is nothing misleading about the description of Villa Mandriola. It's grounds, buildings, interiors, furnishings, are all world class. The owner and his family are world class, also. Our 3 generation family of 10 spent 1 week at the Villa, for a reunion, in the early part of June, 2008. There were no surprises. The kitchen is enormous, and completely equipped. Grocery shopping with everything available is very close, with reasonable prices. The bedrooms, and bathrooms are grand, and comfortable. The wall murals throughout, and statuary outside truly transport you to a romantic period in Italy. Our stay was much too short - there is so much to do around Padova - and we would have liked to just relax at the Villa longer.
I will always consider the family at he villa as friends, and would love to return to Villa Mandriola. Recommended for: Tourists without a Car, Pet-friendly, Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Families with Young Children, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers

We had a sensational break in Villa Mandriola in Padua and it was very good value. This was great for those in the family who love historic buildings in their original state.
The kids loved the gardens, and biking over to the pool. They also loved playing on the gardens with the dogs and badminton net. I don't think the kids got out on the lake to paddle around on the boat but it looked fun.
We were very close to Padua and enjoyed the non touristy restaurants. There was a great supermarket just 1km up the road.
You've got to walk the hallways and see the rooms to fully appreciate that this is an historic home.
Lodovico, Nicolo' and the father made us feel very welcome.

We were absolutely delighted with our choice of venue for our late November holiday. The description regarding layout, amenities and location was accurate. The property was clean and well-maintained and the surrounding grounds and pool area were impeccable. The owners were friendly and offered advice when asked on a range of enquiries.....where to go, what to do etc.. They make us feel at home... Thank you for such a lovely break.
We went on personal recommendation and would not hesitate to recommend it to our friends. We particularly enjoyed the visit to the thermal baths at Montegrotto Terme, the wine tasting tour and lunch at Monte Fasolo. (excellent wine) Plenty of advertising material provided about other places to visit. I hope this has helped it really is a great place.
