We had a wonderful stay at the Queen Anne bungalow, and would definitely stay here again. The pictures are an accurate representation--as other reviewers have noted, it's cozy, but tastefully decorated and well appointed. (The sheets were fabulous!) And the views from the various levels of the surrounding gardens are terrific. Great places to relax with an espresso in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. No dishwasher, but there is a freezer (separate from the small fridge in the kitchen).
Few if any houses in Seattle are air-conditioned, and our visit happened to correspond with record-breaking high temperatures. But Nancy had set up several fans, we slept comfortably, and the heat did not deter us from climbing up to the highest parts of the garden to enjoy the view.
Infinitely better than a hotel, with easy access to the business district in the residential district of Queen Anne.
Nancy & Tristan both were wonderful, gracious hosts who do an excellent job managing this lovely property. As they'll be the first to point out, there are stairs to climb from the street, and there's not a lot of closet space for those who don't exactly travel light. But we loved it and hated to leave! |

Great location and sweet, well appointed house. Nancy and her daughter are very gracious hosts, coming to greet us upon arrival and helping us when we made a mistake with the hottub. We ended up going back to the bakery that the great muffins she left as a greeting; it was fabulous. Queen Anne is truly a great location, and although we could have walked everywhere, with three small children, and many wedding party events, we found ourselves within 10 minutes of everything that we did by car. This encompassed Ballard, Green Lake, Lake Union, City Center, Wallingsford, University....
The house itself was small but very cute and well done. The living room has a pullout couch, where my young children slept, and the adjacent bedroom a plush queen bed. We ate mostly outdoors on the front porch by the nice zen garden. Although Taylor street is right on the bus line, this unit is very private. Pretty much the best of both worlds. Climb above the house and you have the hot tub location which offers the splendid views you see in the photo. There is also a nice gas bbq at the mid deck behind the house, and a heat lamp on the front porch. The basement, which is very clean, has a nice neat laundry area.
The kitchen is small, with a half refigerator and no freezer, but again, well appointed and it worked great for us during our stay.
I would highly recommend this to a couple or a family with small children. I think it would be a bit tight with four full sized adults.

| Thank you for sharing your wonderful bungalow, a cozy retreat in the city. It was great to have a fantastic view of the city, especially at night from the hot tub, yet feel so secluded thanks to the beautiful landscaping and decks. The fresh flowers and amenities added so much to our stay. You didn't leave a thing out. Your decorator's touch throughout the home is fabulous - I especially like the bedroom's art work and quote. To top it all off, staying here allowed us to see a part of Seattle we wouldn't had seen if we didn't stay here -- the Queen Anne district! Beautiful! Thanks, Nancy. |

Tristan & Nancy- Thank you for offering this wonderful bungalow. It's a perfect romantic getaway for two; it felt like a 5 star hotel! We had a fantastic 20th anniversary week. We walked everywhere through sun, rain, & snow-this is a terrific location! We stumbled upon so many interesting events in this quirky, cosmopolitan city, like the SIFF sci-fi short film festival. But we didn't see half of what we planned because we so enjoyed soaking in the hottub and reading in front of the cozy fireplace. We hope to be back! Anamary & Scott

| We enjoyed our lovely week at your house. Although small, it has everything you could want or need and is very cozy! It was a perfect location for us - halfway between downtown and our grandson, and on the busline and near a park was even more convenient. The views were exceptional. We missed the scones we read about, but the roses when we arrived and the chocolate treats were appreciated. |

What a great weekend get away. From the fresh flowers and coffee waiting for us on arrival to the hot tub with city skyline views at night, your cottage was a perfect place to relax and a great central location for exploring downtown. We parked when we got there and bused and walked everywhere we wanted to go, from Pike place to upper Queen Anne. Thanks! |
