We expected to be charmed. One look at photos of the guesthouse at the Simon’s Ranch prepared us for that. What we didn’t expect was to be so spoiled!
Convenient, comfortable and impeccably clean, the tastefully decorated guesthouse lacked for nothing. And it came with a concierge too…ranch owner Lee Anna Simons, who always had great tips on where to eat or what to do.
Now add a lovely appetizer, bottle of wine and lemonade to welcome us, fresh eggs from the resident and very discreet chickens and one or two more appetizer treats, and you understand why we quickly became spoiled.
I haven’t even mentioned the gazebo and pool, a perfect spot for early evening cocktails; the birds visiting the many feeders throughout the property, a cozy fire in the fireplace on chilly evenings, a laptop computer and even an iconic windmill, an area landmark.
Our stay was perfect, thanks to this charming guesthouse and Lee Anna Simons, a gifted, generous hostess.

What a discovery! This English-style cottage, tucked away in a quiet, verdant corner of a Tucson Ranch, was a perfect setting for our vacation: beautifully decorated and complete with all the necessities and niceties we needed to make our stay both comfortable and entertaining – including a gourmet start-up breakfast waiting for us in the fridge, a fully equipped kitchen, maps, books, and information on Tucson happenings. Lee Anna and Ralph are wonderful and knowledgeable hosts – you have all the privacy you want and they are there if you have questions, or want recommendations on where to go, where to eat, what to see. The front porch (great place for morning coffee) looked out on bird feeders and a bird bath (lots of hummingbirds) and a large Cottonwood tree that was home to a new family of great-horned owls – watching the fledglings learn to fly was a once-in-a-lifetime treat. The cottage is a real find – we had a grand time. James and Lynn, Peterborough, Canada

| Lee Anna and Ralph Simons were excellent hosts, making us Canadians feel right at home. The location in Tucson was peaceful and rural but still conveniently close to shopping and attractions. The cottage/guest house was spotlessly clean, well maintained and tastefully decorated by Lee Anna. Ralph takes great pains to keep this large property in mint condition. The kitchen was fully equipped and the bedroom had high quality linens. The guests have access to the pool and gazebo which are in a beautiful garden. The large pasture that surrounds the property is framed with magnificent cottonwoods. Bird feeders are hung on most trees and the site is a birders paradise. The cottage has a sheltered patio where we drank our coffee, read, relaxed and marveled at the hummingbirds that would visit us throughout the day. Final grade: 10 out of 10 |

| Just returned from my second stay in what one of my daughters called the "little english cottage in the desert". It is an experience I highly recommend to anyone interested in a Tucson visit. The cottage is immaculate and superbly maintained; the grounds lovely in all aspects. The hosts will become friends in short order, and I suspect you will be very interested in returning, as I was. |

Our 3 month stay in Tucson was very special. The cottage is a wonderful place. It has all that you need and more. Maid/linen service, a comfortable bed, fully equipped kitchen, beautiful landscaping, and a great location for enjoying the Tucson area. Most importantly, the owners (Ralph and Lee Anna) are awesome. It was difficult to leave such wonderful neightbors who became our friends ! |

| The cottage was everything and more than expected...charming, quiet, and fully equipped with absolutely everything! It had all the special touches of home and was immaculate. We particularly liked sitting on the porch in wicker rockers enjoying the trees, grass, and birds. The Simons were very accommodating and knowledgeable on the area. This is truly a gem. |
