After visits to Boulder, Vail, and Aspen, your beautiful home provided us with the perfect "base camp" for the remainder of our stay. We enjoyed the local dining and shopping, hiked Mt. Elbert, were successful at fly fishing on the local streams and lakes, biked the Mineral Belt Trail, and relaxed around a bonfire several nights. In our group were two military pilots (husband and wife) who spent the nights around the fire pointing out one constellation after another! To top it all off, the two of us who were entered in the Leadville Trail 100 foot race both finished! Not bad for low-landers. We had a wonderful stay at Pine View Home. Thanks!

We stayed at Pineview Home for five days over the Christmas 2007 holiday. The experience was wonderful. The house is fabulous, Charles is a great landlord, and the Leadville area is wonderful. We had a Welcome Basket waiting for us when we arrived - Charlie is sincerely concerned and really wants you to enjoy your stay. We like the laid-back feel of Leadville and Ski Cooper - it is our style and everything is very affordable. Adult all day tickets at Cooper are $36 as compared to $75 at the big ski areas. And if you buy your lift tickets at Safeway you can get them for $29, saving even more money. On our way out of town we had breakfast at the Golden Burro Cafe - what a feast. Bottom line - the house and the area are just wonderful.

From the first time we contacted Charles Cook, the owner, until we arrived at the Pine View, he was friendly and very helpful. We have stayed at two other vacation homes on previous trips to Colorado and one of those homes was very beautiful as was the Pine View home. However, the Pine View home is, also, designed better to give privacy to more people. The home was very well equipped with necessary amenities and the pool table was an added benefit. We enjoyed meeting the neighbors who look after the home. They were very nice and made us feel welcome, even having a welcome package ready for us when we arrived. We have loved all of our visits to Colorado, but this visit was especially nice because we had such a beautiful home to stay in and had such a good experience with the rental process with the owners from start to finish. I forgot to mention the five acres of land that the house is on. It was beautiful with the trees and everything covered in snow since we were there in February. The mountains looked like they were part of the property-a spectacular view. The location of the house was convenient to everything, about a five minute drive to town for grocery shopping or restaurants and about ten minutes to Ski Cooper and other winter activities. The house is new and is very nicely decorated. The rug wall hangings are beautiful. It is very well cared for and clean. We had one minor problem when we first arrived and the owners took care of it immediately even with being several hundred miles away themselves. That was impressive to us because the first house we stayed at on our first trip to Leadville went from bad to disastrous and we were never able to reach the owners who also lived out of state. So, it meant a lot to be able to reach them so easily and to have the problem solved so fast. We know this review is rather long but we couldn't say in just a few words how much we enjoyed our stay in Leadville and a large part of the reason was because we had such a beautiful home to stay in. So, yes, we would highly recommend the Pine View home.

Wonderful house with lots of room! Great for big families. Our entire experience was very positive from the very beginning. Charley (owner) was very friendly and helpful from the reservation process all the way through the return of deposit after our stay. The house was clean and comfortable and in a great central location to numerous activities/sites! I would highly recommend a stay at "Pine View Home"!
