We stayed at the Homer Guest House for 8 days in July. There were 5 of us in all. This was our 3rd trip to Homer - we ocean and river fish. The Boario home was more than we expected - beautifully decorated, a completely equipped kitchen, the beds were very comfortable, the hot tub wonderful and a deck that wrapped around 3 sides of the house. We had 3 moose come up on the front lawn one day. The Homer Guest House is really a home away from home, and we look forward to our next trip to Homer and definitely staying there again.

My wife and I traveled to Homer as part of our honeymoon and had the great fortune to stay at the cottage while we were there. We left Anchorage at 6:30am on a Tuesday morning in order to make it to the spit at 11 am for a day of kayaking. We arrived at "True North Adventures" at exactly 11am, ran to the water taxi, and quickly made our way across the bay to the kayaks. We then spend the 6 wonderful hours paddling around islands, sea otters , seals and having lunch on the smallest island in the bay. After 12 hours of driving and kayaking we made our way to the cottage for the first time. Everything was as described regarding the cottage but, it was so much better than we had imagined. We were exhausted from our trip and adventures when we arrived at the front door of the cottage but as soon as we walked inside (and took off our shoes) we ran around and explored the cottage like children moving into a new house. It was such a nice treat to find a fully functional kitchen, comfortable living room (with leather chairs that swallow you up), fireplace (with split logs waiting to be used), 3 wonderful bedrooms and easy to use instructions about the cottage. With all of these amazing attributes it says a lot when I say that my favorite part of the cottage was the hot tub! We were in Homer for the 3 days in October with wonderful weather. The days were sunny, the water was calm (mostly), and the nights were cold and the sky clear. The view of the bay, glaciers and mountains are amazing during the day from the wrap around porch at the cottage but, they are no comparison to the the same view at sunset from the warmth of the hot tub. As the sun sets and a million stars become visible in the Homer sky I was reminded why we chose to go to Alaska in October for our honeymoon instead of Hawaii. We loved our time in Homer and the experience was made so much better staying at the Cottage. We felt like locals who could go "home" after our daily adventures around town. Thank you for giving us a wonderful place to call home while we enjoyed the playground of Kachemak Bay. I can't wait to return and send my friends.

I'm so glad to see you've got your place on the web! I've been telling my friends about your awesome house ever since i stayed there last fall. The house and property are totally comfortable and charming, and Homer is one of the most beautiful cities in the entire state of Alaska.

When entering this home, one gets a sense of the owners great attention to detail. The house is beautifully appointed and sits on an amazing piece of land, with a spacious deck, and gorgeous views of Kachemack Bay. The Homer Guest Cottage is one of my favorite homes away from home, shared with a large group of friends, or just with my family!

The Homer Guest Cottage is one of the nicest VRBOs I have stayed in. It is a lovely home, thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and features all the amentities any traveller could want. The setting is beautiful and the view stunning. The hosts are more than knowlegeable about the area and all of the dining and recreation recommedations were right on the mark. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and recommend this VRBO to anyone journeying to Homer.

Homer is such a beautiful place, one of the most picturesque in all of Alaska and the Boario home there just makes the stay that much more desirable. The amenities are wonderful and the hot tub rocks! I would recommend this stay to one and all (and have!)
