I have just returned from staying at this great place I found on the VRBO site... nothing but good stuff. the Hosts were great and helpful in providing info. re what to do and how to get there...ie. a nice little quilt shop in Pointe Claire... the Metro is so close and you can get anywhere using the Opus card which is a bargain considering the parking meters if you drive and the trouble to find a parking in the 1st place... we parked our car right in front of our condo door and never used it till departure... stayed 1 month and enjoyed every minute.. the place was modern with a history flair ( antique furniture ) very comfortable bed and pull-out in the living room... all you needed for cooking and we cooked, using IGA supermarket and Atwater Market,(so close, even a slow poke like my sister could get to... A big plus was the quiet at night... you need it after a day of exploring... I have rented several places before , some in the Old Port and it was always "noisy" at night... so this place was great.... I also enjoyed the rooftop terrasse for coffee, reading, etc... I am planning on returning to this great place and would not stay anywhere else.....

| We recently stayed for six nights and confirm all the positive comments. The attention to detail was great...everything from the welcoming bagels, a booklet with all the needed local and apartment information, and the nice furnishings and cleanliness of the large size apartment. Convenient to the metro and good local restaurants and away from the noise and bustle of downtown. We definately recommend the property and would stay again. |

| We rated our stay at this location 5/5 for good reason. Make that eight reasons. We considered location, ambiance, security, convenience, comfort, quietness, value, and character. All this is not to mention our hosts, who could rate off the scale. They were hospitable and considerate. We would welcome the opportunity to here again. |

We stayed at this apartment for 2 nights and I have to say that I was very impressed. The place was spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated, the furniture and bedding were very comfortable, and the location was very convenient to the attractions of Montreal.
I will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking for accomodation in Montreal. Thanks Jane and John.
P.S. We love the bagels. |

We have just returned from our first, but definitely not last, holiday through HomeAway. We were thrilled with the comfort, value and convenience of our apartment. We felt extremely well cared for by the generous and gracious hosts, Jane and John, who live conveniently right next door. The neighbourhood the apartment is located in is in transition – read some buildings and shops nicer than others – but we found it fun, funky and safe. The best aspect of the location is that it is very close to the Métro. Sightseeing in Montreal is four to five Métro stops away, but we also travelled in Montreal by car and it was easy to find parking at the apartment and to get to the major sites in 10 -20 mins. We like to walk and we especially enjoyed walking to the Atwater market in the mornings before our teenaged kids got up, savouring a latté, purchasing the day’s provisions and then getting on with the day. The apartment has a very comfortable queen bed and a pullout double that was fine for the teenagers. The bathroom, kitchen and laundry room are very convenient and well-equipped. We found the furnishings and lovely art on the walls very tasteful and even soothing after a hard day of sight-seeing and over-eating! As mentioned by a previous poster, the photos do not do the apartment justice Another plus if you are travelling with friends, do as we did and rent in the same building from the same owners. Jane and John own the whole building where there will be soon 3 separate apartments. We look forward to returning to fabulous Montreal, and we will certainly try first to book at this same location.

| This apartment has been ideal for our 2 week stay in Montreal - beautiful, clean, bright and comfortable. Newly renovated and tastefully decorated, with a kitchen that was well equipped for the fair bit of cooking we did during our stay. It certainly is a very quiet neighbourhood, a short walk to metro and groceries. John and Jane are great hosts, and went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. The fresh bagels on arrival were a treat! We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend this apartment to others. Thanks John and Jane, for providing a lovely “home away from home“. |

I needed a place to stay in Montreal for and month and found this gem of a place. The place was wonderful and my hosts, John and Jane, made me feel very welcome and provided me with warm hospitality and an orientation of the city.
I have really enjoyed my stay. The place is warm, clean, and a heck of a value compared to other full-furnished rentals I have seen. Will definitely recommend this apartment to friends visiting Montreal for a weekend or an extended stay.
Cheers. |

John and Jane were fantastic hosts. The apartment was beautifully decorated (I love the artwork Jane) spacious, clean and conveniently located. A short walk to Atwater Market for fresh bagels & cream cheese, to the SAQ for a bottle of wine and to the Liverpool House for a terrific meal. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will return soon. (We also have friends who saw and loved the apartment.)
We unreservedly recommend the apartment to all. Thank you again John & Jane. |
