| You won't be disappointed! Clean, well maintained unit in a very nice oceanfront complex, a 5 minute walk south from downtown. Due to physical layout (top floor physically separated from adjacent unit lanai) all windows and the lanai door can be left open 24/7 without worry. Resulting airflow a distinct advantage over most of the other units within the complex. Kitchen is well appointed to entertain for those that wish to cook in for their stay. The prices at Costco are the same as stateside. Four large stainless barbacues are cleaned daily by the staff for guest use. Sunsets on the beachfront lawn are picture perfect. The big island is our favorite with this our third visit, diversity and abundance of activites without the gridlock one finds on Oahu and Maui. The water is also warmer and clearer on the Kona coast than elsewhere within the islands. Plenty of uncrowded beaches to explore. |

I am a frequent Kona visitor and stayed in this lovely condo for week and was really happy with it for numerous reasons. First, it was clean & well-appointed(kitchen, linens, beach chairs etc.) Second, the owner was a pleasure to deal with. Third, the complex was spotless & just a quick walk out of town. Parking in any town is never fun, so walking distance condos are key. If you like to have cocktails at a favorite place in town (Hugo's), you are in luck. Intelligently leave the car behind and walk. The pebble-paved salt water pool & hot tub, BBQ facilities were new & wonderfully maintained. There is a nice wide strip of lawn with chairs were just outside the pool area. It was popular for the surfers. Ample underground parking was close by and shade for the car was nice. The other residents/visitors were quiet and courteous. Fourth, the top-corner location, windows & two ceiling fans allowed me to keep the lanai doors open for the fresh breeze, sunset and sound of the surf. I didn't need AC even in the Kona warmth. I kept the side-window vertical blinds at an angle for perfect privacy & air flow. In the bedroom I left one window closed at night to block out any car honks in off in the distance. The ceiling fan and other window allowed for great sleep. The bedroom and living room & kitchen are separated - great for different sleep schedules. Fifth, having a washer & dryer in the unit was wonderful. I just needed a carry-on. The other appliances/electronics (WiFi, dishwasher, disposal, refrigerator, blender, cd player, toaster, modern stove etc. kept me on the lanai or at the beach and not stressing in the kitchen. Finally, the decor was so island home-like that I felt as though a good friend lent me their place and thoughtfully set it up for me. I plan on trying to book this great condo for my future trips. |
