We just returned from a week stay at Ashburn Place over Christmas and could not be happier with our experience. For starters, Pauline the property manager was a gem to deal with, both in advance of our arrival and when we were in London as well. As she knew we were arriving early (7:30 am-ish) on our first morning, she had stocked up the kitchen with everything we needed to cook ourselves some breakfast when we arrived. Additionally, she had done some light decorating of the apartment, (including stockings on the fireplace) to make us feel at home. She even called to check in on Christmas Day to make sure all was well. The apartment itself was tremendous, a great kitchen where we cooked up Christmas dinner, and made breakfast in the morning before we hit the town. We did not spend a lot of time in the apartment, but it was incredibly comfortable when we did, with large bedrooms, and a wonderful living area where we could all sit comfortably. The apartment is a two flight "walk-up" and spread over three floors, but I would consider this less than a minor inconvenience unless someone in your party really has a difficult time navigating stairs. The neighborhood surrounding the apartment is fantastic, walking distance (10 minutes or less) to literally dozens of shops and dining spots in the Gloucester Road/South Kensington/Earls Court area. Dining tips: Best pub in Area is Drayton Arms on Old Brompton, and try Bistro Benito on Earls Court for great italian food! Our whole family loved our time at Ashburn Place, and would highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks again to Pauline for her wonderful hospitality

| We had a lovely time here. We stayed 2.5 weeks with our three children. The flat is spacious and comfortable. Pauline and her daughter were very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again. Additionally, we used PayPal -- efficient and convenient. |

My husband and I and four children stayed at this apartment for 6 days over Christmas of 2008. We came in directly from Heathrow on the tube. Very easy. It is a wonderful location, very short walk to the nearest tube- Gloucester Road. Lots of shops nearby and very close to the V and A, The Natural History Museum and The Science Museum. 15-20 minute walk to Harrod's. Paying with Paypal is easy - I would recommend that. Pauline, the property manager was wonderful. She met us on the 24th and had stockings hung and gifts for all of us. She also had decorated the place to make it festive. We were able to call her anytime (including Christmas day) with any questions. She was also very helpful prior to arrival via email. The layout was fine and spacious, though on multiple floors. I would therefore not recommend the apartment for someone who has trouble with stairs. The master bed was comfortable and the linens were nice. The kids had ample space as well. The living room and TV with multiple channels was a hit. Definitely review everything with Pauline with respect to hot water , lights and machines as there are definite differences from Canada. The prices on the website are not the current ones, so do check with pauline when considering booking. I would highly recommend the apartment .It was terrific and Pauline was wonderful.

My wife and I along with our three daughters, 14, 11 and 8, recently completed a delightful stay at Ashburn Place! We found the accommodations, location and setting to be superb.
We have been renting apartments in various parts of the world for over ten years and based on our experince, mostly good some not so good, we would recommend staying at Ashburn Place without reservation. |

I would like to say that this is a great apartment in a great location. We were two middle-aged adult couples and the apartment could easily have accommodated another couple, albeit in twin beds. There is a large living room, plus the main bedroom is huge for a city apartment. There is also a completely separate dining area, should you care to eat a home cooked dinner while there. The location is superb--it is a 5 minute walk to the Gloucester Rd. tube stop, which accesses 3 lines, and makes it very easy to get anywhere in central London. We have stayed in numerous rental apartments in Europe, and this is definitely at the top of our list. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want more information about Ashburn Place.

Our stay here in May 2008 was completely wonderful. My family had more than enough room in this lovely, bright, and very comfortable private home. Laundry, kitchen, and dining facilities are excellent. We cooked in and ate out as was convenient. It is quiet here and we relaxed and slept very well.
Four daughters and a niece aged 18-21 cooperated to schedule hot showers upstairs or baths downstairs. They made good laptop use of the wireless internet access and fine satellite TV service. The girls unanimously proclaimed the apartment VERY cool. I felt reasonably confident of their safety out on the town at night in this charming and affluent neighborhood and beyond.
The nearby tube stop provides convenient transportation almost anywhere (trains stop running at 00:30, buses run later). Groceries, restaurants, and banking services are close. Landline phone service is unreliable, but we easily made online Skype, cell phone, or calling card payphone calls as needed.
I had no problem at all with the Asian Paypal deposit or bank transfer of the rental balance. Pauline facilitates all needs, and she was flexible with our arrival and departure arrangements. For us there were only pleasant surprises. Don’t hesitate to consider this apartment unless someone in your party has trouble with stairs, as there are quite a few of these in this exceptional multi-level home. Enjoy!

| We highly recommend staying at Ashburn Place. If you want space and comfort plus an excellent central location to the top museums, parks and restaurants, you could not do better. Pauline, the residential manager, is a total gem and made our lives very easy - with a car to pick us up in the airport, early check in and lots of helpful tips about the neighborhood. My only "complaint" is the wierd payment system that requires a bit of a leap of faith - wiring money to Asia. Still, it all worked out just fine and we have had a great experience. We will definitely be returning to this home next year. |

Very happy with our experience both in the lead up to the rental, thanks to Pauline, and for the actual rental. Pauline was extremely helpful and accommodating in finalizing the details of our arrival. I was not as brave as others in utilizing the Asian Paypal and made other plans to settle up accounts. I think that payment options need to be changed, it should be a more transparent process.
The flat was great for our needs. We had 5 adult males staying and the flat accommodated us easily and comfortably. The facilities were excellent and as promised. The location was perfect for whatever you might need to do in London with access to the tube just 2-3 blocks away. That access included 3 different tube lines. Unfortunately while we were there, construction was being done on a number of tube lines and we spent a weekend dealing with those outages, which wound up being an inconvenience and nothing more. My only negative comment about the flat was that I thought the Japanese bedroom, and its attached bathroom, had a musty smell. Really, that was the worst of it. The place was great and I would recommend it without any reservation. |

We appreciate the guest's comment about the musty smell. This was a problem elsewhere in the building and it has now been addressed.

| My wife, 6 year old son, and 1 year old son and I all stayed at this wonderful flat in late August. Unlike the rest of the summer, we were fortunate to have a particularly wonderful week of warm and sunny weather in London. The flat is very well located, a couple blocks away from the Gloucester Road tube. Gloucester Road High Street has some great restaurants (we particularly grew fond of the upscale dim sum eatery around the corner) as well as a couple of great morning coffee and croissant, outdoor paper-reading, people-watching establishments (not to mention a few pubs and a Tesco Express! open 24 hours for the 3am toothpaste run). The flat itself is well maintained and architecturally unique. The new dining room with its skylights is a great spot to eat or read and, if you are a laptop carrying reluctant vacation warrior such as myself, provides an ideal location to log in to the wireless lan and clean up the email account from desperate underlings back at HQ after the family has gone to sleep. The kitchen and living room are spacious and comfortable and well appointed. We were so busy travelling around the city that we did not use the living room much, but it had a cable tv setup and comfy couch if needed. The two bedrooms on the third floor are very comfortable. The master bedroom is very spacious and has a great designer king size bed with three tremendous windows flooding the room with light. The nearby bedroom has two twin beds and is a good spot for a couple of children. There is a bathroom on this floor which is remodeled and has the all important shower pump to overcome London's notoriously weak indiginous water pressure. The third "tatami" room is sort of on a mid-landing level as you come up into the flat's three stories and has privacy and a separatet bathroom. The one point to consider is that there are a number of stairs taking one from the various levels. While we had our interpid one year old with us, we had to keep a close eye on him and lock him in the rooms with us so that he did not take a tumble. However, as for aesthetic beauty and roominess in the heart of London, this is a great spot. And Pauline, the ever attendant owner's contact could not be more reliable and prompt at helping out or returning phone calls. Lastly, have no fear regarding the emerging market Indian paypal website to which you must trustfully send your funds - I did, and ended up sending half through a bank wire process that Pauline was happy to provide, and the second half through the Paypal site. Both worked out ok. The owner has a number of rental units in Asia it seems and spends a good part of the year managing that business out of Singapore. The nice thing about the flat is that it appears to be their home while in London and has some tastelful artistic touches as a result. We couldn't have been happier and would return in the future. |

| We stayed in this flat during a very rainy mid-August week. The flat was very stylish and comfortable for three adults and two children, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. We didn't research the Tube layout beforehand, so it was an extra bonus to find out that the local stop was on a set of lines very convenient to all the places we wanted to go. The house manager was very helpful, and we particularly enjoyed her restaurant suggestion of the Singaporean cafe down the street. We definitely recommend this location! |

| We stayed at this apartment in August for 8 nights and had an absolutely amazing time. We are a family of 5 and there was plenty of room for all of us. It is rare to find such a spacious flat in London that is so well located. As people have said it is close to the tube and it never takes long to get to anyplace you like. We toured all over London and were happy to come back and have a nice relaxing dinner at the flat. The kitchen had all that was needed and all the appliances were brand new. I would recommend this place to anyone! |

| Our family of 5 spent 10 nights in the flat over spring break. The spaciousness and location were just perfect. You can walk to at least 30 restaurants within 10 minutes and a waitrose supermarket(higher end with lots of cooked food like rotisserie chickens and meats, etc) right at the tube station which is 2 blocks away. Gloucester Road tube stop is perfect as it serves 3 lines, which means you can get to a lot of places without changing lines. The appliances in the kitchen are all new and work great. We wouldn't think of staying anywhere else next time we travel to London. |

Our family of 4 stayed during March 2007 and the spacious flat was even more than expected!
Beautiful and comfortable furnishings, the location could not have been better. Very close to Starbucks, grocery store, Tube station. Having this flat to come home to every night after sightseeing made our week's stay in London that much better.
Pauline was most helpful, meeting us the day we got there to answer all our questions. We would definitely recommend this flat and stay here again in the future! |

We are a family of 4, and stayed in this flat during March break 2007.
It is a very nice unit in a nice neighbourhood, and it is surprisingly spacious for London. Having 3 bedrooms was great as our teenage boys each had their own space.
The owner's representatives were consistently helpful before and during our stay.
The flat is very conveniently located for Underground access, and there is a good selection of shops and restaurants/pubs a couple of blocks away on Gloucester Rd. (easy walking distance).
Only problem during our stay was that the central heating in the Japanese room wasn't working, but the owner provided a space heater, so it really wasn't an issue.
We would definitely stay here again if our travels bring us back to London. |

| We stayed in this lovely apartment in February 2006. It was fantastic! The accomodations were excellent and the location even better. It was a great alternative to a hotel stay for a family of four. We can't wait to return to London and stay at the Ashburn Place flat. |

| An absolutely wonderful place to stay. I stayed with four other friends and it was such a central location, close to the train and the underground in a very safe, upscale part of London. I would certainly stay there again. |
