| I have family in Nicaragua, so when I went to visit, we stayed the weekend at Casa del Sol. When we entered the property, you could hear a pin drop. It is truly breathtaking, just like it says. My relatives could not believe a place like this exists in Nicaragua. We had a great time. We relaxed in the pool, and hot thermals, which are a must, and saw so much beautiful wildlife. We had a BBQ on the large modern BBQ and enjoyed great service from the staff. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and graciously appointed. We will certainly come back! | We, too, had a fabulous stay at La Casa de Sol. We had seen pictures, heard first hand from people that had stayed here, but to really take it all in you have to see it. Our own private villa just 15 minutes to Granada - but then we didn't feel we had to go and do a lot of things because for the fabulous pool (with mineral lake water) and the beautiful lake at our feet. Each day we swam, rested in hammocks, read and enjoyed the view and the company of Alberto - the property manager. The villa also boasts all the amenities you need for your stay (cook, laundry, access to a driver). We're going back! |

Our stay at Casa de Sol was incredibly relaxing and rejuvenating. Alberto, the house manager was delightful and very helpful. The villa was well maintained and very comfortable. We wish we could have stayed longer. We spent much of our time relaxing in the laguna and reading in the hammocks by the pool.
We hope to return sometime soon. |

| My husband and I stayed at Casa De Sol with a bunch of his Nicaraguan relatives. This was truly the most beautiful house I have ever visited in Nicaragua. The master bath was exquisite, the fully-equipped kitchen was fantastic and the views were amazing. The kids that were with us had a wonderful time splashing around in the infinity pool and the men spent hours upon end relaxing in the strategically hung hammocks. We created some family memories during our stay that I will cherish forever. The home was in the perfect spot as well, secluded and less than an hour away from Granada and Masaya, two of the most popular tourist locations in the country. The groundskeeper/concierge Alberto was fabulous. He was very friendly and tended to our every need. Thanks to the homeowners for the perfect vacation and for making the rental registration process so easy. I can't wait to go back with my parents one day! |

| My husband and I stayed at Casa De Sol with a bunch of his Nicaraguan relatives and we had an unforgettable time. This was sincerely the most beautiful house I have stayed in in Nicaragua. The master bath was luxurious, the kitchen was fantastic and the views were amazing. I am thrilled that we found such a perfect place for our family getaway. We created some family memories in this home that I will cherish forever. We stayed for almost a week, and agree with all of the other comments that are posted here. While many people head for the coast, this is a hidden oasis of tranquility and great beauty, very convenient to MGA and Granada. As a property owner (I also own a VRBO rental here)in Nicaragua I can tell you that what the owners have done with this fantastic property is almost impossible to do in this country! It is a lovely, spacious, magical home in one of the most breathtaking settings in the world. There is no "low season" here...if the weather is not perfect then just retreat indoors where the beauty of the natural surroundings continues. This one goes right at the top of our "want to return" list! Owners are great and very accomodating, easy and fast communication. Thanks for everything!

I WAS AMAZED FROM THE MOMENT I ARRIVED...MY ENTIRE FAMILY ENJOYED THE HOME AND ALL THE AMMENITIES. WE WERE A GROUP OF NINE AND THE HOUSE WAS SPACIOUS WITH ROOM TO SPARE. I HAVE FAMILY THAT LIVES NEAR BY THE LAGOON WHICH MADE IT QUAINT FOR FAMILY BBQ'S AND LATE NIGHTS AROUND THE POOL. PLEASE ENJOY THE SUNSETS AND U MUST SEE THE MOONRISE....ITS AN AMAZING SIGHT....TAKE PLENTY OF PICS AND VIDEO CAUSE U WILL NOT BELIEVE IT. THANKS AGAIN TO THE OWNERS AND STAFF ON HAND THEY TRULEY MADE THE HOUSE FEEL LIKE A HOME !!!! HEY ALBERTO !!! K PASA PALESTINO !!!! |

| During the month of April my wife and I traveled Central America and spent a week of our trip at Casa de Sol in Laguna de Appoyo. It was definately the highlight of our trip! We found the location to be perfect, only about 45 minutes from the Managua airport and about 15 minutes to Granada. When not enjoying some of the many daytrips that are available ( Granada, Masaya, Rivas, San Juan Del Sur or hiking around the Laguna and up to Catarina), we found ourselves spending hours in the pool just relaxing and doing nothing. At night we enjoyed BBQs which consisted of fresh food from the local markets and the local favorite drink, Flor de Cana Rum! Whether you are traveling with one person or a large group of people, the home can accomodate. It is very spacious and has an excellent staff on hand to accomodate your every need. The on-site property manager, Alberto, is fantastic and we included him in many of our evening dinners and enjoyed listening to his many stories. This home has so much to offer and we definately are looking forward to going back soon. |

| This house on the lake is pristine, very well taken care of, with breathtaking views and offers a true tranquility for anyone looking for an amazing get-away. The owners are super accomodating to work with and have truly built a paradise at the lake. The outdoor space in addition to the enormous home accomodations provides a perfect combination to indoor and outdoor living. A true treasure! |

| A friend of mine suggested a week’s trip to Casa del Sol and quite frankly I was a bit skeptical and wasn’t sure what to expect in Nicaragua. The pictures do not do the place justice. The house is amazing will all modern conveniences and 24 hour security. It is very open and airy and a constant breeze off the lake makes for comfortable sleeping. I loved that the house was very secluded. Although there were neighboring houses, you felt like you had the entire lake to yourself. The grounds of the house are beautiful and there is enough sun to be had sitting or lounging in the infinity pool overlooking the lake, or relaxing in the shade on one of the hammocks above the pool. If you don’t want to lounge around, there are plenty of activities in the area. The lake is the perfect temperature for swimming or renting a kayak or going out on a catamaran. A constant breeze ensures a great sail. There are awesome hiking trails that take you up to the Catarina at the top of the mountain (spectacular views of the lake), a perfect place for a nice lunch and shopping.Alberto who manages the property can assist with all your needs. I highly recommend hiring a cook for some local breakfast and lunch fare, and massages by the lake by a local spa in Grenada. This is an amazing vacation destination and was very affordable. |

The property Manager arranged everything for us: The cook, driver,massage, Yoga and shopping excursions and it was well worth the additional fee.
Pictures do not fully describe the incredible 5 BR house, the infinity pool and the 10 short steps to take a dip in the lake.
Overall, I was very impressed, no stress,
I will definately be back!

| My family and I spent a couple days during Holy Week 2009 at Casa del Sol and we loved every minute of our time there! The house has a spectacular view of Laguna de Apoyo and it has all the commodities of a modern home. We posted pictures of our mini-vacation and immediately received feedback from our friends and family asking where we had been and saying how gorgeous it looked! We would definitely like to go back soon! |

This place is a slice of heaven. Words cannot describe the magic of it all.
The lake is fed by hot springs which makes for a lovely swim. The hammocks are strategically placed to take in the surrounding beauty and to connect with nature. The grounds are gorgeous and home to exotic birds. The house is spacious and tastefully done. It has wireless internet access if you must stay connected to the outer world. Even my cell phone worked here...
The caretaker, cook, driver and house cleaner are a must have. They contributed to this being the most relaxing vacation. Thank you guys for working so hard on our behalf.
The weather was absolutely perfect during our stay. A gentle breeze from the lake assured pleasant temperatures during the day and at night.
We are definitely coming back.

We were booked for an 8 day stay at this home in Nicaragua. Since we had never been to Nicaragua, we didn't know what to expect. A driver, Gustavo, picked us up from the airport, which is about a 45 minute drive to the house. When we were dropped off, we were speechless. This 5 bedroom, 3 1/2 bath house is stunning. It is so well equipted with everything we needed for our stay. The grounds and pool area are beautiful as is the decor of this lovely home. It has 24 hour security and can come with a cook and a housecleaner, which I highly recommend. Alberto, the caretaker, is bilingual and he can arrange anything you want. We had outdoor massages and yoga lessons. He has access to a gym that has English speaking trainers.
Whether you like to spend time in the beautiful infinity pool, or just sit in the shade and read a book, this place has it all. This home is perfect for a family reunion or for friends spending time to reconnect. We came home wishing for more and talking about signing up now for our next visit.

| This property was much more than I expected. It was a great value and the service was stellar. For a minimal transportation fee, a professional on-site bi-lingual concierge arranged prompt pick-up from the Managua Airport and then whisked us away in an air-conditioned vehicle to our own private resort, where frosty fresh squeezed fruit juice awaited us along with a cool shimmery 10 foot deep infinity pool just feet from the laguna. Evenings at the home boasted a romantic view of a stunning moonrise over the laguna, best viewed from one of the many swinging hammocks, or from one of the many bedroom balconies. As the transportation, the breakfast fee was minimal and included local cuisine cooked to order. We had a great Catamaran ride. I highly recommend you inquire when you get to the house. I haven't had that much fun in a while. The only complaint was that our stay was too short. I wanted to book again, but the dates I wanted were already taken. |
