We enjoyed your cabin very much. Our family enjoyed the firepit and our two grandsons liked having their own space in the bunkhouse. The only thing they missed out there was a TV, but they were busy doing things around Estes Park most of the time anyway.
The cabin has everything anyone would need and the view spectacular. We were never bored. Thanks!
P.S. We did see deer a few times in the yard, which was fun to see and we all enjoyed watching the birds at their feeders.

We had a wonderful time. Our grandson graduated from High School. Two nieces from Santa Fe used the bunk room. I'm sorry I even asked about the "condition"...of course you have made improvements. All duly noted! We had a small fire in the improved fire pit...Our granddaughter came from Montrose with her sons. Cash loved the big pillow in the bunk room. The two daughters who live here joined us for meals so it was a real celebration. Thank you so much.

Saw lots and lots of deer and elk and maybe a coyote too. First time I had smores in a long time as well. There were 5 of us all together and all agreed it was a great way to spend the weekend.

We really enjoyed the cabin, it was so perfect for our group! We were visited by mule deer Thursday night, the boys were so happy to have deer in the yard! (It was fun to see a 13-year old get excited about the deer; he
usually plays it so cool!) It snowed Thursday all day, it was so beautiful.
I have attached a picture I took. I'm sure you've seen it before, but for this Texas girl it was magical!
Hopefully we left the cabin in good enough shape that you will allow us to rent it again. My brother was particularly impressed with the place and wants to visit again. (They are in Cheyenne; much easier for them to get
down there than me!)
Thanks again for the use of the cabin. I am in withdrawal back here in Texas...

And thanks, for the gas grill (No need for charcoal.) We all enjoyed your suppy of puzzles and games. When we did the Rocky Mountain puzzle, we thought we would know all the places since we used to vacation and hike here every year when the children were young... Our 3 year old grandson loved all the cars and trucks. This truly was the right place for us! The kids loved your backyard...one day they had lunch with the table and small chairs on the front deck. We had a wonderful week of relaxing and hiking. We made it to the summit of Flat Top this time-awesome view.
Luckily, we accomplished most of our hikes before it got so windy on Sat. We got within .5 miles of the Estes Cone summit when it began to sleet so we turned around.
The aspens were absolutely magnificent this year.

| The Martins provided us with a wonderful vacation home the week of July 4th 2006. We traveled with our two sons, 9 and 13, and my mother and her husband. We felt completely at home and enjoyed the baby birds that decided to leave the birdhouse and venture out on their own (just outside the fitchen window!) We had plenty of room and were impressed with the quality of the appliances and overall cleanliness of the home. My husband has now stayed in this home four times and we are certain to return again! Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay! |

We enjoyed our stay here. It was very nice. My son was able to hook up the VCR and DVD player in the living area and the VCR in the bedroom. Instructions are written out and one the refrigerator with house rules. We couldn't get the toaster to work (it has since been replaced). Everything else was great.

We wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed our week's vacation in your lovely home. All the amenities we could possibly need were here from puzzles, games, books and toys for the children, to the washer and dryer and every convenience we could need in the kitchen. You have thought of everything and made us feel at home.
The deck became a favorite place to relax and watch for wildlife. Your deck abounds with birds and the humming birds seemed quite at home with us.
We arose extra early several mornings and were fortunate to see two buck elk grazing in the back yard. The next morning a female was grazing closer to the deck. A sight we will never forget.
Thanks for sharing your home and the majestic beauty of Rocky Mountain National Park with us. This has been a vacation that will remain a part of our memories forever. Colorado has left its mark on our hearts.

Thanks so much for the use of your home this week. We had some great family time and this is a great place to relax. The furniture is comfortable and the kitchen and baths were wonderful. We were all surprised at how well equipped everything is. Since it rained almost every day, the indoor comfort was great.
We've appreciated the beautiful view from every window and we enjoyed the birds! We didn't use the fireplace but did roast marshmallows in the back yard and made s'mores.
All in all, we had a great vacation and made some memories we're sure will last a lifetime.

I remembered on our way home from Estes Park that I forgot to write a note for your book and I really wanted you to know we had a great time.
Your mountain home is fantastic. You have it furnished nicely and the kitchen is unbelieveable!! Our family had a lovely vacation and we owe it to you! We had been to Estes Park several years ago but certainly enjoyed this trip even more.
Your bird feeder gave us many hours of enjoyment watching the many birds who came. Deer, rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks added to our fun. Even seeing the llamas at the Switzer Farm everytime we drove in or out added to our pleasure.
Thanks so much for the great accomodations that made our trip one to be remembered!! We didn't want to leave!

| Such an abundant space with spectacular views, at such an affordable price...our family didn't even need the bunkhouse! Our 4 year old grandson loved access to the nearby horse and alpacca farms, as well as the "resident" wildlife. As warned, a hummingbird did crash into the window near the feeder and fall, unconscious. But minutes later, it went about its busy life once again. The deer and elk are like the dogs of the town, wandering and grazing all over...Colorado at its wild and wooly best! Thanks so much for your hospitality. |

Three days was not long enough to enjoy this beautiful area. The hummingbirds, rabbits and chipmunks visited the feeders. We went horseback riding in Rocky Mountain National Park and saw many, many elk. We enjoyed a fire in the fireplace every night. Our youngest daughter, Abigail, age 12, enjoyed reading Calvin & Hobbes. We would love to return again and stay here. Thank you so much.

We can't believe a week has passed! Your home is so comfortable that we felt "at home" immediately. It allowed us to pick up and go whenever and wherever.
There is so much to do in Estes! We didn't even scrape the surface! We walked, played in falls, fished, horseback rode, ate a lot, shopped, took picturs, and relaxed on the deck, had picnics on your table and had a memorable camp fire.
The bunkhouse is your finest asset! Wow--I didn't know the three 16 year olds were here!
My parents were very happy and thoroughly relaxed. It was everyone's first trip to the Rockies. We took the nine mile car trip one way and were amazed. We saw an elk in the neighborhood and several in town. We saw coyotes and love the hummingbirds! We had the excellent soup and salad buffet at Baldpate Inn.
We were given a very informative tour of the neighboring Alpaca farm.
Thank you for your home and elaborate accomodations at a family friendly price!

It's hard to leave and we hope to come back. Elk did come up near the house one evening to eat. That was neat! We enjoyed some campfires. One day we rode horses at the stables in the YMCA--a fabulous ride with breakfast on the trail! The Estes shops were fun to look around in.
