We came to Durango for the Annual Iron Horse Bicycle Classic and stayed at the Durango House. What a wonderful home in a beautiful setting! The large windows in the living room have an amazing view of the mountains. We dined at the Sow's Ear that is located at the Silverpick Lodge that's about 5 minutes from the house. Wonderful food and great service! I would highly recommend the Durango House to my family and friends. |

| We came back to Durango House this year after enjoying it so much last year. You know, the location is just perfect there smack in-between Durango and Silverton. We only stayed 3 nights, but it was the best "base" for running back and forth and enjoying all the sights and activities of this area. Then, at night, we had a serene, quiet place to rest (unless the elk herd decides to come up to the house and start bugling! LOL!) So, we had a great time once again, and still recommend Durango House for your southwest Colorado stay. |

| We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your home with 2 other couples. One morning we hiked up by the water tower and then hiked back the other direction along the trail to Durango Mt. We rode down the alpine slide, shopped and had a wonderful lunch and Mojito's on the patio! The enjoyed an excellent dinner at The Boar's Head just about a mile south on our first night there, and also picked up pizza in town and ate it on the deck with a glass of wine! The large dining room table was perfect for our nightly game of mexican train (dominoes). The privacy of the home was perfect and the area was very quiet and peaceful, and of course gorgeous! Thanks for a great time by these Okie's who can't wait to go back! We even lucked out with the wonderful master bed and bath downstairs - lucky us. |

We had a wonderful time at your home. There was so much to see and do. We went to Mesa Verde, the Bar D Ranch, Four Corners, Silverton, Shopping at Durango, rode the train, rode the Alpine Slide, shopped at Honeyville. We were busy, busy, but had lots of fun. We had a fire almost every night~~we had to have 'smores! The fireplace is easy to light using the wall switch. The mornings were in the mid 30's and the afternoons were in the upper 60's. The views were postcard perfect. The accomodations were wonderful. So nice with little ones to have a washer and dryer. We so enjoyed both decks. We saw so many animals, lots of marmets (they really entertain), deer, hawks, eagle. The stars were beautiful at night~~ you almost felt as if you could reach out and touch them. The area is perfect for privacy and seclusion. It was really quiet at night. Our whole family ~~ son, daughter and her husband and their 3 little children and my husband and I so enjoyed your home. Thank you for sharing. It is beautifully decorated and so comfy. We hope to use it again in the winter time and see all the snow. We enjoyed hikes too, the one up by the 2 water towers really paid off~~ we saw a beautiful waterfall and the water was so cold and lots of flowers in bloom. It was a very peaceful hike. Thank you again. Bill and Becky |

| Thank you so much for allowing us the accommodations of your lovely home. It made our stay in Durango quite enjoyable. Your home was beyond our expectations. Not only was your home perfect, the view was breath taking. My two year old grandson called it his Colowada home! Additionally, the staff at Cascade Village were so nice and eager to help us. We had a wonderful Christmas |

| Our five children, two with significant others, for a total of 9 packed into our Surburban on the trip from southern Arizona couldn't have been happier to arrive at Durango House to begin our escape from the desert. Fresh powder allowed us to snowshoe right from the front door. We enjoyed two perfect days of skiing and one day ice skating and shopping in Durango. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals and the dining room table was large enough to accomodate our annual family poker game. The home and setting were perfect. The whole experience was hassle free. We highly recommend Durango House for the perfect Colorado escape. Mike and Eileen Rudkin and family, Sierra Vista, Arizona |

| Wow. The online photos don't lie about the incredible scenery. Wonderful house--our stay was just perfect. Our last night there, a coyote came around, howling at the Milky Way, his voice echoing eerily off the hillsides. Goosebumps! |

| What a fabulous home & location! In fact it's so great,it was hard to even think about leaving during the day to go sightseeing. Not only does each room have it's own beautiful view, but we really loved just sitting out on the various decks drinking coffee in the mornings or a nice glass of wine in the evening as we watched the sun set & cast it's rosy, warm glow on the mountains that surrounded us.Then we would move indoors to relax by a warm fire. Our time there was far too short & we can't wait to return & do it again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful, comfortable, home with us, John,Kathy Jo,my Dad, brother & sister-in-law. |
