We enyojed every minute from the very first moment of our stay. We want to thank you that you have shared your little paradise with us. We loved all the different fruits from your garden, especially the passion fruit. :-) We didn't mind the few rainy days we had because we felt very comfortable in your lovely apartment. Your apartment is ways better than any hotel. For us it was huge, perfectly equipped, we had our own lanai with BBQ grill, digital TV and a superfast internet connection. We could have stayed here for months! Last but not least, we were excited "to have" a dog for a couple of days. Steve & Linda, thanks again for everything and we wish you all the best! |

| We sadly had to leave Chez Marquis on May 11, after two wonderful weeks. Steve and Linda are the perfect hosts, always available and accommodating, but never infringing on their guests' privacy. Even wonderful Pua is polite and, like the others before us, we fell in love with her. The farm is beautiful and the location is perfect if you want to get away from the tourist scene. The nights are cool and mornings full of birdsong. We spent every morning drinking coffee and eating breakfast on the lanai. The pictures on the site represent the ohana perfectly. We highly recommend Chez Marquis! |

We had a wonderful stay at Chez Marquis for 16 days in Dec 2008. Steve and Linda were excellent hosts and we enjoyed getting to know them. You can't avoid falling in love with thier big but gentle dog Pua, who was there to greeted us when we drove up and when we woke up. Although she has treats on the brain, she'll tolerate your love and affection. Steve is more than willing to share what he has learned about growing tropical fruits and flowers, so we really enjoyed the farm tour. The apartment was comfortable, tastefully decorated and well equipped. We had the best sleeps ever in the cool mountain air and woke up to the the beautiful sounds of birds singing. We enjoyed poking around the nearby quaint little town of Holualoa and lots of Kona coffee tasting! Lenora and Phil Kenora, ON Canada |

| We spent 4 very enjoyable nights at Chez Marquis. Linda and Steve (and Pua!) made us feel very welcome, and their advice on what to do and where to go was a real bonus. The surrounding tropical gardens they have created are a spectacular setting, and we found the place very peaceful and relaxing. We also enjoyed fresh passion fruit which were delicious, and the best mango we've ever tasted! We'd recommend this place wholeheartedly for anyone wishing to stay somewhere a little different in the Kona area. |

we really enjoyed staying in your cute comfortable apartment. Loved the lilikoi jelly that Linda left in the fridge for us. Also the hot tub was very nice after the Waipio valley endurance hike! The Marquis were great hosts and very helpful.

| Steve and Linda were delightful hosts. Their adorable dog, Pua, visited us in the evening for a treat. Their 5 acre farm is beautiful - Steve took us on an informative tour. We enjoyed eating some of their fruits and vegetables. Since you are staying at a very high elevation(2200 feet), it does get cool in the evening. It felt good to me after 85degrees in Kona. We enjoyed our 9 days in May. |

We stayed in this apartment the last week of 2007. The place was great in every way. It was roomy with a nice kitchen, a beautiful lanai, convenient location, lovely grounds and wonderful hosts. We made fresh guacamole with avocados and limes from the property (3 times), the best ever! Nestled in Kona coffee country,a short walk took us past acres of coffee trees bursting with huge red beans. The mountain and ocean views are stunning.
Linda and Steve were very helpful in helping us enjoy this part of the Big Island. Pua was at our doorstep every morning when we awoke welcoming us to another day in, yes, paradise.

This is a truly wonderful place.
Perfectly situated, extremely comfortable, and run in an exceptional manner by Steve and Lynda, two wonderful persons. We would go back every weekend if we could travel that far!
Lynda, Steve, many thanks for such a wonderful stay. We really hope to come back again soon. |

| Our stay at Chez Marquis was a lovely experience, from the personal greeting the morning of our arrival right up to the "see you next time" as we waved good-bye. Linda and Steve are very gracious hosts. We enjoyed our "home away from away" where we were welcome to roam the gardens and enjoy the bounty. Often times our fresh lettuce and avocados would be delivered right to us!! Their tangerines are plentiful and more delicious when you pick your own right from their trees. Flowers, ocean views, good pots and pans, nice towels, and even beach chairs and coolers to borrow!! I couldn't have asked for much more. I'm not a huge dog lover, but I loved their dog Pua. Can't wait to go back for another visit. |

Ditto everything said by George Essex.
Additionally, the setting of this house is among mountainside pastures with horses, panoramic views of Kona and the ocean below. The covered lanai (patio) and living space are spacious, clean and comfortable. The grounds are lanscaped with many different plants, trees, schrubs, flowers, etc. Just an all around perfect place to hang out.
As an added bonus, if you're into golf or tennis, the hosts can either provide you with competition or tell you where you can find some.
My wife and I totally enjoyed our stay. Only complaint is that the stay was too short. |

If your interested in peace & quiet, cool sleeping conditions, thoughtful hosts, the Milky Way & shooting stars, fresh garden goodies, beutiful views of clouds creeping over Holualai volcano just in time to keep you cool from the hot miday Kona sun, soaks in the hot tub, soft ball sized avocodos, a really well manored loving dog, clean living space, good location to depart for island sights(volcanoes, beaches,Hilo,Costco,Air port) with out having to mess w/ Kona's tourist & work traffic, close to friendly churches & never crowded post office, quaint coffee & art shops, while being stones throw away from hustle & bustle, tourism, local, shops, restaurants of kona than this is the per |
