This cottage should be correctly listed as one of Hawaii's best kept secrets! It is nestled in a family neighborhood and is in close proximity to beautiful beaches, fine dining, family dining, shopping, a farmer's market, and more! The quiet neighborhood and cleanliness of the cottage lends to an atmosphere of retreat, rest, and comfort. As it is in a kama`aina community, there is a strong feeling of safety as well.
The room is large and can easily be enjoyed by 4 - there is a feeling of spaciousness...a full bathroom, and kitchen that will easily allow for creating your own island meals. AND, there is even a covered area to ensure shade and protection for your car.
Our hostess generously made her papaya and swiss chard garden available to us. This is true kama`aina hospitality. We traveled to the other side of O`ahu to attend a family reunion with members from all over the islands, the continental US and Europe - and all were envious at our "find" vs. sleeping in tents!!!
Recommend that those who would like a "taste" of local living in a clean and spacious setting - make your reservations now-when word gets out, the dates will fill up quickly.
We will be back! Aloha! |

| We had a wonderful time. We were here as a present for my 8th grade graduation. I find the house is very cozy. My first time to Hawaii will not be forgotten. Loved the turtles on the beach, Waimea waterfall where we got to swim & Polynesian Cultural Center. Only wish we had more time to see more of your island. Mahalo for the fresh fruit. I really like the room comes with a deli closet. Jeanne. |
