My return trip to Rome was better than the first, largely due to the convenience of Giovanna & Franco's lovely penthouse, their hospitality & sharing the experience with family. The views from the terrace are spectacular & the convertable sofa is more than comfortable. No matter where we were when deciding to return in the evening we could find a bus that went to Termini, a short walk to the apt. Ditto my sister Loretta re: the Basilica of Santa Presseda.

Comment Text: My husband, sister and I had a delightful stay at the penthouse. The pictures on line only give a glimpse of what a wonderful, roomy apartment it is. Beautifully decorated and many amenities. We only wish we could have spent more time on the great terrace.
Do not overlook the little Basilica of St. Prassede, just around the corner. Easy to overlook but with some of the most beautiful mosaics we had seen in Rome. We thank Giovanna and Franco for their hospitality. Loretta V

| my 16 yr old daughter and i stayed in giovanna and franco's apartment for 10 wonderful days. it is so inviting, such a respite from the hot, busy streets of rome, that there were days when we couldn't wait to get home. the inside is totally quiet and comfortable, and is bathed in a special natural light. the terrace could hold a party of 100, it is so expansive, and it has breathtaking views of cathedral domes, church spires, and castle-like structures. the location is perfect -- about 20-25 minutes walk from everything -- the colloseum, the forum, spanish steps, trevi fountain, the pantheon and piazza navona, even st. peter's is about 30-35 minutes away on foot. plus, it is a 10-minute stroll to the main termini train station, both for excursions out of town and for the very convenient metro. there are plenty of eating and drinking and gelato establishments in the neighborhood, plus a little bakery next to the apartment building's front door that specializes in fresh cornetti, italian croissants. but best of all are giovanna and franco. kind, warm, enthusiastic and wonderfully helpful. they made our stay so special and know the history and geography of the city like a book. special people, special place. i'm already dreaming of going back. rk |

We enjoyed a wonderful week in May at this lovely apartment, owned by the very gracious and charming Giovanna and Franco, who could not have been more welcoming. This light-filled apartment is remarkably quiet for such a central location (a five minute walk from Termini Station). It's a fun neighborhood to explore: there are many beautiful churches nearby, a large in-door market a couple blocks away at Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, and many good restaurants and shops in the area between Via dei Serpenti and Via Panisperna. And of course, the terrace - which we enjoyed every morning at breakfast and evening as the sun set - a great way to enjoy Rome. We definitely hope to be back and would highly recommend this apartment and the generous hospitality of Giovanna and Franco.

The Mistretta Penthouse was perfect in every way. The location was convenient. Close to Termini station and many of the major attractions. The view from the penthouse balcony is breath taking. We would definitely rent again! Giovanna & Francesco were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable. Thanks for everything!! |

| My husband and I stayed in this penthouse in late March and loved it. It's very well located--close to the railway station and within walking distance of many of the important sites in Rome. The flat is bright, spacious and quiet with a panoramic view from the terrace, and lovely roof views from the balconies. The owners, Giovanna and Franco were charming, welcoming and very helpful. We would highly recommend it to anyone going to Rome |

MY FRIEND AND I HAD THE HONOR OF BEING THE FIRST TO RENT THIS BEAUTIFUL PENTHOUSE. GREAT LOCATION, HAPPENING NEIGHBORHOOD AND A 5 MINUTE WALK TO THE TRAIN STATION. FRANCO AND GIOVANNA ARE TWO OF THE MOST WONDERFUL PEOPLE I HAVE EVER MET. THEY WERE INCREDIBLY KIND AND HELPFUL TO US. THE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR AND THE PLACE WAS VERY COMFORTABLE. WHAT A DEAL COMPARED TO HIGH PRICED HOTELS IN THE AREA. DOZENS OF BEAUTIFUL CHURCHES WITHIN BLOCKS, ATM, PHARMACY AND POST OFFICE WITHIN A BLOCK. WE WILL RENT HERE EVERY TIME. COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE PERFECT! |
