Our group of four adults (two couples) spent a wonderful week at Les Tuilieres in early September. We found the house to be very comfortable, well appointed, and quite spacious. We also found that at those times when we simply wanted to be alone with a good book, or snooze in the afternoon sun, it was easy to find a place to relax. One of my favorite outdoor spots was the upstairs terrace, with its delightful breezes and magnificent view.
We began each morning with breakfast on the lawn overlooking the pool. My husband enjoyed the 20-minute (mostly uphill) walk to the lovely village of Venasque, so he stopped in to the boulangerie each morning and brought us back freshly-baked croissants. The view of Mt. Ventoux in the distance was a perfect backdrop for all of our al fresco dining.
We found the location of Les Tuilieres to be ideal for easy day trips to nearby villages, markets and wineries. And we enjoyed the best dinner of our entire trip right in Venasque at the Auberge la Fontaine. All in all, this was a wonderful trip, made even better by choosing to stay at Les Tuilieres.
