I stayed in this wonderful apartment for three
nights in May 2009 and it was my first trip to
Lisbon. The location of the apartment served as a
great introduction to Lisbon living. It is remarkable
that Ellie was able to put together all modern
amenities in the medieval neighborhood in an 18th
century building. The apartment is very charming
and cosy. It was in great condition: everything was
sparkling and working. The managing company
staff was very professional and helpful. Ellie was
also very pleasant and helpful and responded to me
on a very short notice. It was my first experience
staying in an apartment rather than in a hotel and I
am very encouraged by it. I fell in love with Lisbon
and Alfama and will return at the first opportunity. I
would not think of staying anywhere else but in this
apartment. One word of caution: you have to be in
good shape and willing to climb stairs to enjoy both
the Alfama neighborhood and this apartment. The
apartment is on a third floor and the stairs are
narrow and steep but the added bonus is a great
view from the window. |

This is the first time I really had some time to write to you. Our stay in Alfama was W O N D E R F U L!!!!! Your apartment is in such a great location. We did most of what we planned to do and did lots of things that we had not anticipated doing. All our experiences were so positive. We found a great local, not touristy, fado place. We had a couple of great meals in local tashkas (phonetic spelling) that were close by your place.
For now I just wanted you to know how nice of a time we had staying at your apt.
