What a perfect place to use as a base when my family came to explore Portland!!! The house is cute, cozy, clean and tastefully decorated. Jana and Peter thoughtfully provide everything you need-including a notebook filled with menus from local restaurants all within walking distance (and we tried most of them!!) There are also very sweet personal touches-homemade fruit bars in the fridge waiting for you when you arrive, thoughtful notes and surprises waiting on the doorstep. I have been VRBO'ing for quite a while and have never had such a positive experience. The neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Jana and Peter make themselves available without intruding. It is just a couple of blocks from the house to Willamette park where people are walking their dogs, sailing and birdwatching. It is a short drive, bus ride or cab ride to anywhere in town. My entire family proclaimed it the best vacation yet. Guaranteed, when (not if) we come back to Portland we are staying here at this house!!!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay in Portland at Johns Landing Retreat! The house was clean, newly remodeled (tastefully done), and close to everything in the Portland area, including a great park that made for nice evening walks along the river. The pictures don't do it justice, it really is a nice little house. We never would have mad it in a hotel with two small children. This worked out perfectly for us. Jana was great and very hospitable toward us. Highly recommend Johns Landing Retreat and would stay there again if we are ever back in Portland!
