We had a wonderfully relaxing week in June at this rental home. We found Bill and Lisa very warm and sincere. They always made sure that we had everything we needed and ensured that our stay was filled with every comfort. Bill was ever so attentive, making sure that we knew where the stores were located and directing us on the use of the amenities on the property. We were invited to make use of vegetables and herbs from Lisa’s well tended garden, and many meals were enhanced with the flavors of these freshly picked vegetables. The fully equipped kitchen lent to the ease of preparing meals.
We would wake up to enjoy breakfast on the patio, listening to the birds chirping and being totally surrounded by the sounds of nature. Many evenings found us looking forward to returning to this country home after a busy day in larger, surrounding towns. At dusk, time spent at the lake feeding the turtles was always a great treat. We found this vacation home was an easy 15 – 20 minutes drive to Raleigh or Chapel Hill. We had the best of both worlds being able to enjoy the busy activities of a city during the day and by evening enjoying the tranquility of nature.
Some of us had brought our golf clubs along, and Lisa went out of her way to provide us with information on surrounding golf courses for day and night play. The fact that the place was kept immaculately clean made our stay even more pleasant. We would not hesitate revisiting this beautiful vacation home.

Jordan Lake Studios is the place to go if you want to get away and really relax. Bill and Lisa are great hosts. They built a huge bonfire one evening and arranged for a full moon to rise over the pond. They graciously share their home, garden and stories.

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful house. The owners, Bill and Lisa, are the nicest people you'll meet. Bill was very helpful showing us around the house when we arrived and the one night built a huge bonfire for us by the pond where we roasted marshmallows and made s'mores. Lisa even provided the sticks for the marshmallows. Lisa also picked fresh vegetables from their garden and gave them to us with a recipe for a fun dish. They had an herb garden also that you could pick fresh herbs from to make fresh pesto or just to include in your food. The pond has many fish and turtles in it which were fun to feed or you can fish in it. The house is located minutes from beautiful Jordan Lake and we rented a boat one day from the marina and had a blast. If you have your own boat, there is plenty of space to park it in their driveway area and then you can take it to several boat launches located all around the lake. The cute little town of Pittsboro is only minutes away and we ate at the Soda Shop downtown one day. Also, Chapel Hill and Durham are not far away for larger shopping areas and the college scene. All in all, this is a great place to stay and the house is immaculate. Practically brand new with a nice kitchen and well stocked with everything you'd need. You'll really enjoy yourself here.

We have just returned home from a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Jordan Lake Studios over Memorial Weekend. Owners Bill and Lisa were very friendly hosts who greeted us as we entered their beautiful country property and made us feel right at home! The pond is the first thing you see as you pull into the driveway, and then the cabin, and adjoining house come into view. Kevin, Josh and Elijah spent a lot of time over our two day stay fishing in the stocked pond and watching the turtles swim around. The house is beautiful and roomy, with lots of big windows, tile floors and woodwork. The kitchen is a cook's dream with great cabinets and appliances, plus everything else you could possibly need. The herbs which Lisa planted in the garden and the plants that surround the house are beautiful and the visiting birds, drawn to Lisa's feeders, are abundant! We loved sitting on the patio and on the front porch of the cabin visiting with Bill and Lisa while we enjoyed a cold drink, some great music and the unfolding sounds of a summer evening. We also loved the big bonfires that Bill created for us both evenings as we listened to the crickets and toads sing to us. Bill and Lisa prepared an unbelievable meal for us on our first night's stay, which is one that will be remembered! Awesome pasta with marinara sauce, grilled italian sausage (fabulous!), fresh baked bread with garlic butter (wow!), fresh picked salad greens with homemade balsamic vinaigrette - YUM! It was the BEST! Our stay was very relaxing and fun. We brought our boat and went out on Jordan Lake. The Studios are very conveniently located less than 1/2 mile away from the boat ramp. All in all this was a great spot to hang out, relax, go boating, eat, connect with nature and make new friends. It was also a good value for the money, and a great alternative to going to the beach. This great place has our highest recommendation and our thanks go out to Bill and Lisa who made us feel like we had gone to the country to stay with friends. Make your way out to Jordan Lake Studios and let them do the same for you!
