This cottage is indeed FABULOUS as advertized. Its location is amazing - you truly can enjoy a breath taking sunset over the water every evening just sitting on the deck. The house is clean and new with lots of windows to catch the constant Cape Breton ocean breezes. If you are into Celtic music you are right in the midst of the Ceilidh Trail and will find something nearby every day. Pick up lobsters at the local fisherman's COOP and boil them yourself in the pot provided in the well-equipped kitchen. At first we considered the lack of decent TV reception and no DVD player connection a negative - but in the end we appreciated not wasting our time in front of the TV and instead enjoying one-another's company, playing games, and taking in the beautiful beach surroundings. My daughter just couldn't wait to get back to the house each evening and take a swim in the warm water at sunset.
Ms. McFarland was very easy to work with...overall it was a great stay!! |
