| The apartment is fabulous. The convenient location is near transportation, markets, restaurants, and walking distance to most sights. The excellent floor plan made it quite comfortable for three adults. It is well-stocked with everything from a map, to DVDs and books, to coffee/tea. The canal view from the kitchen is inviting and comfortable, which we thoroughly enjoyed over morning coffee and evening wine. Jorge and Bernadette are most gracious and helpful hosts. We can definitely recommend this to anyone, and will definitely plan to stay here again when we visit Amsterdam. |

We absolutely loved staying at Bernadette and
Jorge's charming apartment in Amsterdam! The
location was ideal - quiet and safe and situated
with a lovely view of the canal right next to the
building. The apartment was spotless, airy and
spacious, with floor to ceiling windows (with
curtains) and large french doors in the dining
area/kitchen. Lots of great music and books were
available, in addition to maps and tourist
information. We felt completely at home.
Bernadette and Jorge are fabulous hosts and have
supplied everything that one could possibly need.
They set out coffee, tea and even fresh milk, fruit,
muesli and jams for us. Condiments and a new
bottle of olive oil were also provided. The kitchen
was well stocked with cooking utensils and serving
items, in addition to dish and laundry soap. We felt
so welcomed and we really enjoyed our stay. We
will definitely stay here again when we return to
Amsterdam! Thank you Bernadette and Jorge!

We LOVED this staying in this wonderful apartment! It was a true home away from home - comfortable, cozy yet spacious, clean, full of interesting books and attractive decorations...and the gorgeous view! Sometimes it was hard to pull ourselves away from the pleasure of watching people, bikes and the boats and birds on the canal right from our own window. When we did pull ourselves away we enjoyed walking in the charming streets right in the neighborhood or taking the nearby trams to all the locations of interest to us in Amsterdam.
The owners (Bernadette and Jorge) are gracious and warm people who insured our comfort and added nice touches like including breakfast items and Dutch treats in the kitchen.
We've stayed in many VRBO's and this is definitely one of our favorites. It is also a particularly nice part of our Amsterdam memories.

We had a wonderful stay in the apartment during our visit to Amsterdam in August-September 2009. Eventhough, the weather was less than perfect, our stay was great. The apartment has everything one might need and more, the location was very convinient. It is very clean and comfortable. The view of the canal was great.
But most of all we'd like to thank our hosts. They were very pleasant and accomodating. And hopefully, next time I'm in Amsterdam, the place is available. |

Dear Bernadette & Jorge,
I want to write a note of thanks to you both. You
are charming, beautiful people and made us feel
very welcome. The apartment was big and airy, with
incredible canal views and walking distance to
everything.
This story illustrates everything we felt about our
stay: One afternoon/evening it was raining. We
went to the delicatessen around the corner to
purchase some food and were undecided whether
to stay in because of the rain or to go out since we
had so little time to enjoy Amsterdam. When we
came back to the apartment and sat down to dinner
in the kitchen, we looked out to the floor-to-
ceiling windows and to the rain falling into the
canal below and realized that we didn't want to go
anywhere at all! The apartment was warm, beautiful
and we can watch the rain while reading on the
small couch placed strategically by one of the
windows. The rain didn't scare us, it was the
apartment that pulled us back.
Thank you for the wonderful stay. We really enjoyed
your apartment in Amsterdam and hope to return
soon. |
