| Urban Oasis was a delightful place to stay! Jim & Ellen were great hosts & have done a marvelous job of creating a cozy & tastefully decorated space. It's a great location to get to Alki Beach or Pike Market with just a short drive. Our only regret was that we were so busy "seeing the sights" that we didn't get enough time to just relax here! As previous comments have mentioned, they did a great job of supplying all the little extras that make a stay here special! |

| Urban Oasis is aptly named as it is a calm and lovely oasis in the middle of the city. It is located in a wonderful neighborhood, with friendly neighbors who stopped to talk with my mother and I when we took a walk. The garden is gorgeous so bring your camera. The apartment is located within a short drive of Alki and the beach, and about a ten minute drive from downtown Seattle. The apartment itself is beautifully appointed with sumptuous towels and bedding, charming decor, two bedrooms, a sofa bed and air mattress. There are lots of books and games to enjoy, beach towels to take to the beach, a washer and dryer, a dishwasher if you feel like cooking, or lots of restaurants and a wonderful bakery along Alki beach. Ellen is such a warm and friendly host. Unfortunately we didn't get to meet her husband, but if Ellen is anything by which to judge, then Jim must be just as welcoming as Ellen. If I ever need to stay in Seattle again, I will definitely contact Ellen and Jim to stay there again. |

Wonderful place to spend a few days in Seattle. Ellen and Jim are great people, and their house is absolutely lovely. Very well finished and included the 'little' things that some rental properties tend to forget (soaps, tea, etc). Excellent library, wonderful 'energy'. Fifteen minutes (max) to downtown. Close enough, but far enough away too.
We will be back. Highly recommend this property. |

What a wonderful place to stay! Good neighborhood, great renters! The owners truly have a passion for creating a hospitable vacation home. The decor is amazing; the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking supplies; and the living-room area has lots of reading materials, board games, and cable TV. Book early, this place fills up quick! |

When I was travelling on business, I would go to specific cities repeatedly. I would have loved to have found a place like this in which to stay. Even luxury hotels have a sameness to them and get old. What wouldn't have gotten old is having my own private patio on which to enjoy morning coffee. Having a comfy couch and a roaring fire in front of which to have a glass of wine. Having a kitchen where I could prepare the kind of simple healthy meals I make for myself at home. Having a safe neighborhood of well kept houses in which to run in the mornings. I would recommend this Urban Oasis to anyone who needs a touch of home on the road! |

| When I was travelling for a living and would go back repeatedly to the same city, I would have loved to have found this place. Hotels get old. But having a cup of coffee outside on my own private garden patio in the morning? Settling in front of a roaring fire with food I cooked myself, a glass of wine and TIVO? Sitting in the window seat and reading a good book? Never gets old! This is such a lovely and homey place. I'd recommend it to anyone! |
