I liked the view and the yard and the wood stove that we got to help light wood in.
I have a lot of pictures of the deer that walked in the yard a lot. We saw a family of elk crossing the street one time too when we went to the grocery store. That was neat.
I got to see Red Rock Park too. It was not very far away and is real pretty.
I learned how to snowboard. That was fun.
My brother hogged the massage chair but when I got to sit in it, it was random!
The only bad part was having to come back home to no mountains and no deer in my yard.

My Mom took my brother and I to Colorado for our Spring Break. She didn't want to stay in a hotel so she found a nice house in the mountains.
I am from Kansas so I was not used to looking out the window and seeing such big and pretty mountains every day.
We also saw a lot of wild life in the yard. The yard is big and almost like a forest. We saw elk and lots of deer. We took lots of pictures of the baby deer because they were so cute.
I had so much fun snowboarding at the ski resort, horsebackriding and eating really good sushi at the local place down the street.
Here is my advice for someone staying at the house, get dibs on the massage chair! It rocks.

My children and I stayed at this home in March of 09 for our Spring Break Trip. Between the breath taking view of the snow covered Colorado Mountains, the incredible 'quiet' that surrounds the entire home, the beautiful sunrise/sunsets, amazingly enough...my boys who are 11 and 12 seemed to have no interest in their video/computer/electronic games!! Something about the naturalness of our surroundings simply took away their interest in playing those games.
NOT to mention, we were so close to some awesome Ski areas, tubing spots, horseback riding and the beautiful Red Rock Park, that when we were not at the lovely home, we were out taking full advantage of all that Colorado has to offer.
I would highly recommend this location and the owner (Donna) was very easy to work with and made our stay one that we will not forget!
Thank you Donna. You have a lovely home and perfect location for visitors.
Cathy, Alex and Matthew Wendte PS Oh...and the grocery store in Evergreen has the MOST AWESOME SUSHI we've ever had and it's SO CLOSE! |
