The Hacienda and Villa are incredible homes in what I refer to as a 'bit of paradise.' The homes are beautifully decorated and located in a serene, protected area, yet close to town and convenient to several large cities. Rest assured, no matter the reason for your travels, you will be welcomed and confortable at the compound and there is something for everyone in Tepoztlan: tranquility, history, photography, art, hiking, shopping, etc. The hostess, Ms. Hogan, is very gracious and knowledgeable about the area and happy to help with any special interests or needs. She maintains a very attentive and friendly staff. I have stayed at the Villa San Clementito several times with family and friends and I highly recommend the Villa or Hacienda as a wonderful vacation destination.

Over the years we have brought many friends to the Villa and the Hacienda and the reaction is always the same: " What a beautiful, serene place." The setting is stunning, both the Villa and the Hacienda are lovely and comfortable, and the staff is delightful. The area has enough local trips of interest to keep even the most active guest interested.

Comment Text: Staying here far exceeded our expectations. Not only are the property and views gorgeous, but we had special circumstances and Pattie and the staff went above and beyond for us. We are in their debt and now consider them all to be dear friends. We will definitely be back and are happy to recommend Villa San Clementito without reservations. |

| We will be returning this weekend for our third weekend in 6 months. Truly the most relaxing get-away just 1 1/2 hours outside of Mexico City. The Hacienda has hammocks and plenty of comfortable chairs scattered around the patios and courtyard to take in the ambience of the Tepoztlan mountians and countryside. The staff is wonderful and can prepare marvelous meals. The hacienda is tastefully decorated and has a flat screen tv, music, books, tennis rackets, etc. to keep both parents and teenagers content. We look forward to enjoying another weekend in Tepoztlan. |

The pool table was a great distraction for the girls. The first thing Justine said when we walked in was "Why don't WE live here?"
Your attention to detail really shows. It's great to have the booklet and the notes all around explaining things. We were in heaven with your music system! We never had to get up.... and you had everyone from James McMurtry to Springsteen and great blues. Thanks!!! The nice towels and pool toys, flip flops and raquets really add a nice touch and made us feel at home. Having the refreshments available at a reasonable price was great too. The walkie talkies came in handy and the girls used them to ask to see all of your dogs. The family was very gracious in showing them the dogs and explaining things like the crazy cricket noise to the girls.
All in all, I'm kicking myself for not going earlier so that we could return! You and your home will always come to mind when we think of the best of Mexico.
Thank you again!

We had a wonderful time in Tepoztlán. This vacation had been a dream for us for so many years. Staying in Villa San Clementito was perfect. Everybody had privacy because of its perfect lay out. The big family meals and game evenings were possible because of the big table in the spectacular living room. Our early morning coffee on the terrace with the view, breakfast prepared by Manuela, hikes with Don Abraham, tennis, welding, soccer with Felipe and family, all are memories we cherish and will never forget. We are thinking of having a big family reunion in the future. Thanks Pattie. Katharina |

| This place is incredible - one of the lovliest homes in the area and highly recommendable for a week to a month! In the winter of 2001 we came to Tepoztlan to find a home, and for 6 weeks stayed with Ms. Hogan at her Villa. The home is extraordinarily beautiful, not only the setting and exterior, but the interior furnishings and colors as well - the home has immense charm and "livability". We have since rented our own home with plans to purchase, and have had family and friends stay at Ms. Hogan's Villa - all visitors have left very satisfied and are planning to return to Tepoztlan and Villa San Clementito! |

We want to give a special thanks for the Newcomers Club of Mexico City. This article appeared in their May newsletter 2005.
A WEEKEND TRIP TO BE REPEATED-HACIENDA SAN CLEMENTE, TEPOZTLAN, MORELOS
"It took us a while to get our act together, but finally headed south towards Tepoztlan for our weekend trip. Tepoztlan is located about 1.5 hours from Mexico City depending on the traffic in the city and at the toll booth. But we were lucky and arrived well spirited in time for a sundowner to be enjoyed on the big outside tarrace by the pol and hot tub.
The Hacienda sits on a mountain top and is on ten acres of scenic terrain. We enjoyed an undisturbed magnificent view of the surrounding craggy mountains, jagged cliffs and into the valley. It stormed on Saturday night and the views of the lightning from the mountains to the valley were incredible.
The house itself is decorated nicely, a fusion of the charms of Mexico with the most modern conveniences. It gives you an instant feeling of being exactly where you want to be. The really professionally equipped kitchen will let every cook's heart beat faster. You want to have a five course meal? No problem, you'll easily find all the china, glasses, cutlery, that you could ever need.
We slept very soundly in the fresh air and the quiet surroundings. In the mornings we heard roosters cock-a-coodle-doing and cow bells from a far distance--haven't heard that in a long time. So nice!
The little town of Tepoztlan is definitely worth a visit with its typical Mexican market on the weekend where you can find Mexican Artesania, contemporary art, nice restaurants. The Mercado has fresh products and small eateries. Some of the last Hippies found their home so you feel that a psychedelic touch has been added to the village.
For the sporty ones among us, you can climb up to the pyramid, situation about 400m above Tepoztlan. it took us about an hour and a lot of water to get up there, but the view from the top made it worthwhile. |

I just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful weekend in your house. We really liked it there - what a beautiful house and surrounding. Our friends could'nt come with us as he had to work, so we had it all to ourselfes.
I also like your system to save water and divide the trash. Actually I do a lot of those things in my house as well. |

Words cannot express the beauty of HSC, the graciousness and warmth extended by Manuela and her family, the peacefulness of sitting on the terrace watching the golden light as the sun sets over the cliffs.
We hiked, we walked, we went to market, we sat in the jacuzzi, we ate and drank, played a little tennis and pool and just marveled at the privilege of calling this spot home for the week.
We are recommending you and your most extraordinary house to everyone who asks how was the week...and we would love to think we can return and enjoy it once again. |
