My family and I have been going to Lake Tahoe annually for 30+ years now. Snowbird was truly one of the nicest places we have stayed at and the price was very reasonable on top of that. The home is equipped with satellite TV and wireless networking. It is very well sized where a large family can enjoy each other's company, but not step over one another. The only thing I would recommend is an update to the available utensils. The kitchen is magnificent, but contained only a small toaster that did not work terribly well and we were only able to locate 1 skillet pan. These things aside, I would highly recommend Snowbird for a fun filled family vacation.

Homeowner Response:
Dear Anonymous: I'm sorry you were unable to locate the other skillets! We wish you would have called about it or the toaster! We found the skillets! Guests sometimes put them in different locations. We found the toaster to be a bit slow and replaced it.

Fabulous location -- everything was close at hand, especially after we discovered the Safeway just a mile up the road. Loved the walking trail just up the way, too. Our family of seven were able to sleep and eat most comfortably -- and got lots of exercise, too!

Just spent 6 days at Snowbear Lodge and had a great time. There were 8 of us, 4 adults 1 teenager and 3 small ones. The very large living room was a perfect place for nightly games, the kitchen perfect for 3-4 people cooking and having family dinners. The proximity to the Lake was perfect. Spent the first day at Zypher cove, second day at Heavenly and the zip line, great restaurants and shopping, the third day at Camp Richardson and bike riding and dinner at the Beacon Grill, fourth day beach again....played ping pong in the club house and used their pool and hot tub. We all loved the hot tub at the end of the day...using the nearby paths for hiking was picture perfect. Loved every minute of it and hope to make it an annual vacation spot. Thanks Nancy for your hospitality. We had a great family vacation.

We just returned from our skiing/snowboarding adventure in Tahoe and consider it one of the best travel destinations ever. Snowbear Lodge played a significant part in our enjoyment. We had 12 adults in our group and found the lodge extremely accommodating. The two best perks: kitchen & hot tub. The kitchen/living area is huge, we cooked breakfasts and dinners for the whole group. We also made daily use of both the private and the community hot tubs. Slopes, casinos, grocery stores, entertainment, etc were only minutes away. Nancy was kind, very cooperative and extremely responsive to any questions we had. Nearly half of our group had never been on a winter holiday before and every single one of them cannot wait to go back. Thank you for the great experience!

This was an awesome place to stay! It was literally minutes from Heavenly and the Casino's. The beds were super comfortable, showers have great water pressure, the kitchen was fully stocked with silverware, pots, pans, dishes, cups, and the living space was HUGE! The best part was having the jacuzzi in the house. It was very relaxing after a day of boarding. I 100% recommend teh Snowbear lodge! Great value, great place!

We just returned from Snowbear Lodge where we stayed from the day after Christmas through New Year's. My wife and I have two grown and married children who each have one child. We all gathered together for the entire week. The sleeping arrangements were fine as everyone had their own room. The hot tub was really nice and hot after a day of snow skiing. We enjoyed show skiing, snow tubing, and sleigh riding. We also built snowmen and had the usual snow ball fights. The area around the lodge is close to the woods so I enjoyed walking through the National Forrest grounds and really enjoying God's wonderful creation. Just around the corner you can see Lake Tahoe and the wonderful blue of the water. We were blessed with about 2 feet of snow just before we arrived. The roads were all clear however they were snow covered when we arrived. The drive and steps had been cleaned for us and the unit warm and ready for us. All in all, we all really enjoyed our time and would return again for sure. Everything is so close. Grocery store one mile, the strip one mile, and ski resorts one mile. What more could you ask. Thanks Nancy for sharing your home with us and making our holiday so special!!!

We went to Tahoe to celebrate our parent’s 50th wedding anniversary. Half the family stayed in Snowbear, while the other half stayed next door at Snowbird. Snowbear was by far the better of the two. The interior of Snowbear is so appealing, as it is clean and bright. The kitchen was more than adequate in space and kitchen utensils to cook for that many people. Nancy was wonderful to work with, very prompt communication and even helped with reserving the Clubhouse for our party. Should I have the opportunity to return to Lake Tahoe, I definitely would want to rent one of Nancy’s condos again. Thank you Nancy!

Our stay at Snowbear was great. The condo was the perfect size, even though we had 12 people it never felt crowded. We were there for my daughters 21st birthday celebration and she gave it a big thumbs up! The whole process of renting it went very smooth and we would definitely stay here again on our next Tahoe trip.

Snowbear was great. Well furnished and well maintained with all the accommodations one would need. We went after Christmas through the New Year and had a blast. There's also a wooded area nearby so everyone can go out and play in the snow. Easily the best place I've stayed at in Tahoe.

Eight of us spent two weeks in July at Snowbear. This is our fourth trip to Tahoe and I only wish we had found Snowbear on our first trip. It was perfect for us. The location was ideal, Snowbear was clean and comfortable. Nancy went out of her way to make our stay pleasant. Price was less than last year when we stayed next door in Snowbird which left much to be desired. I am sure that winter in Tahoe is beautiful, but summer is beautiful as well. Great beaches, Fourth of July fireworks were spectacular, and the stars are so close you can reach out and touch them. If you are considering spending time there---Snowbear is the place to stay.

What a great place! Plenty of room for the group to spread out with a huge kitchen and living room for gathering. If you are thinking of staying in one of the hotels in town, you will miss out on a far superior experience. Nancy is great to work with!

This place is fantastic! It is FAR nicer than the pictures show. The furnishings and amenities were of the highest quality. Plus it was spacious, warm, and comfortable. We had 11 people and didn't have any issues with size/space. Also, the two car garage was definitely appreciated each morning when others were scraping 10" of snow off their vehicles. Overall it was a wonderful experience.. you won't be disappointed!!

Just returned from spending Thanksgiving at this wonderful condo. First off, Nancy is the nicest most accommodating owner I have ever encountered. Nancy - you made our stay so very enjoyable and thank you so much for checking in on us and answering some of my questions. This place is everything it is purported to be on the website and more. Cooking for a family of 8 for Thanksgiving was a breeze in the wonderful kitchen. When not sleeping - we made the kitchen our hub of activity - it is wonderful. The location is close to everything, but far enough removed to get the "remote mountain experience". I would (and hope to) return again to this awesome condo and will recommend it to anyone. Nancy - thank you so much for making this such a memorable trip for my family. We had the best thanksgiving ever!

Seven of our Phx Police Depaartment's hockey players stayed in Nancy's Snowbird condo and had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is right up there to any local luxury resort. Because the condo was stocked with all the comforts of home, had a BBQ and was in a location close to shopping, cooking large meals for the team members was no problem and beat going out to dinner every night. The hot tub was definitely an added bonus for relaxing after a tough game and would have been available at a hotel. Of course, the plentiful snowballs tested our throwing accuracy and brought out the kid in all of us. The condo was very accessible to all area attractions. Oh ya, as for the other seven team members........they stayed in another similar condo and were very jealous of our accommodations and extras. No doubt, this condo is the way to go. Feel free to email me for additional comments.

Wow, what a great weekend we had!! Ten of us headed up to Tahoe and were shocked by how clean and spacious the Snowbird cabin was. We saw the pictures and were impressed by the kitchen but the pictures don't even compare. The cabin was spotless and stocked with everything you could possibly need. We were on cloud nine the whole time we were there. Nancy was extremely efficient and provided us with everything we needed. I highly recommend this cabin as we are already looking at the calendar to book our next trip!!

OUR SIX DAY FAMILY STAY AT THE SNOWBIRD WAS JUST HEAVENLY. ALL TEN OF US, FROM THE YOUNG KIDS, TEENAGERS TO THE ADULTS, HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH SPACE TO KEEP OUT OF EACH OTHERS HAIR AND YET SPEND QUALITY TIME TOGETHER. (ONE BEDROOM EVEN WENT UNUSED!) FROM THE COFFEE MAKER, TO THE SNOW SHOVELS ... FROM THE CLEANINESS THROUGHOUT (THE WIVES WERE IMPRESSED) TO THE TV'S IN EVERY ROOM,... FROM THE SUPER SPACIOUS KITHCHEN AND LIVING ROOM TO THE HOT TUB, EVERYTHING WAS FIRST CLASS. ONCE YOU DRAG YOUR BAGS IN THE FRONT DOOR, YOU ARE AT HOME WITH THIS FULLY EQUIPPED UNIT. COST .. PRICELESS!!!! THANKFUL GUESTS FROM HAWAII! THE MAEHARA'S |

We were at "Snowbird" during the GREAT Snow Storm of 2005 (Jan 7-9). Snow, Snow and more Snow, it was breathtakingly beautiful. Because of so much snow we had to spend a lot of time inside. Fortunately this was not a problem because Snowbird is very people friendly and very spacious. There were 9 of us staying in Snowbird and we had 4 additional daily visitors who were staying in town. We found it well supplied and very tastefully furnished, in fact my wife wanted to take the kitchen home with her. With 3 smaller children (5, 9 & 10) it was great for them to be able to just walk outside and "jump and play" in the snow. In fact the little one, Josh, wanted to know if we could "live there forever", he fell in love with the environment and complained bitterly when we had to leave on Monday. We will return because we also found Nancy to be courteous and caring, she called on 3 separate occasoins just to see if we were OK and if we had found everything. Great FUN, Great PLACE, Great OWNER.
Thanks Nancy from the McNab family |

I had a group of twelve people stay at the place for Labor Day 2004. The place was fantastic for our needs. The place had very spacious common areas, dinning area, and kitchen (Modern/beautiful), which is what we needed. The rooms were nice and comfortable. Many of our party used the main resort pool and hot tub, and they said they like it. The location is about a $6-8 Dollar cab ride from the casinos, which made it nice if you don’t feel like driving. You are also located 10 minutes away from Zefer Cove, where we played on the beach and rented a boat. Over all a great place, and I look forward towards our next visit!

Snowbird is as beautiful as the pictures. We took our extended family (11 of us including 3 small children) and had a fabulous time. The nearby Nevada State Beach is great for family picnics and swimming, and because Snowbird is on the Nevada side of the casinos, you can get to them without dealing with a lot of traffic. There were plenty of dishes and chairs in the kitchen/dining area for all of us, the huge living room was great for family games, and there were plenty of bathrooms to prevent any long lines. We loved it and hope to return.

Thank you for allowing us to stay at Snowbird! The Townhouse was absolutely perfect for our "Women Only" Family Reunion trip. Our only complaint was that we didn't plan enough time to stay longer. The house is beautiful and the clubhouse was perfect for us. We hope we can bring the entire group again next year.

This unit is perfect for a group of couples. We each our own bedroom/bathroom and plenty of space! Some condos don't offer the square footage and you can easily feel like you're on top of each other, not this one. This unit is very clean and obviously well taken care of by the owner. We would stay there again.

The Snowbird is an awesome unit. It looks like each room has been remodeled. We stayed there last 4th of July and can't recommend the Snowbird enough. Nancy Hawkins runs a first class rental operation. We were the second family to rent the unit after Nancy remodeled it. The kitchen is stocked with all of the utensils, pots, and dishes that you would ever need. Speaking of the kitchen, it is beautiful with its granite counter and new cabinets. I would definitely recommend this unit to anyone that is going to Lake Tahoe. If you have would like more feedback from me, feel free to E-mail me.

Snowbird is AWESOME! We never dreamed it would be so nice! Our week there before Chistmas was WAY too short! The kitchen is to die for! Now we are planning our own dream kitchen! Maybe even a fireplace in our master bedroom like Snowbird's. The kid's are already bugging us about our summer visit to your lovely home. Thanks for the great value! Nanette and Bill Lindquist |
