| A beautiful place for a vacation. Our family throughly enjoyed the peace & quiet along with fishing. The grandchildren especially enjoyed tubing down the river. Your day trip suggestions were greatly appreciated. Would do it again! |

What a wonderful place to vacation! Our family had a great time at the cabin. The area is beautiful. The suggestions to visit Grayson Highlands and the Virginia Creeper Trail were so appreciated. If you stay here, these are the places to go. Thank you for a perfect vacation for my family.
Also, for a great day for the older kids, you can drive 30 miles south to Boone so the kids can climb the rock wall. (the adults too if you are up to it!) |

We just got home from our week at River Roost and all I can say is...WOW! We loved every minute at the cabin. We had a fire every night in the fire pit and the river was great. We will be contacting you again soon to book another week next year. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us. |

| My friends and I had a wonderful time at River Roost. It was exactly what each of us needed: a cozy, comfortable, retreat! Everything we needed or wanted was available at the cabin - how wonderful to go on vacation and not have to take linens of any kind! Although we explored Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Boone, West Jefferson, and Glen Dale Springs, we all agreed that our most memorable day was when we decided to stay at the cabin, sitting on the porch, rocking in the rocking chairs watching The New River flow by. I read two books while we were there, something that is very hard to do with such a busy, daily schedule. I know we will be asking to rent your cabin again, Leslie! After describing the cabin and it's quiet location, other friends are asking for your contact informatio! Take good care, Leslie, and thanks again for such a lovely, well-cared for place where we could retreat. |

The kids and I went whitewater rafting and canoeing. We also went to an outdoor play in Boon. Your book with information on all the local attractions was very helpful!

| Our yearly vacation with friends began with the thoughts of a place to just chill and relax. River Roost met and exceeded all expectations. With 4 kids to entertain, New River was our answer. We would drop the kids off at the bridge upstream and they would tube back down to the cabin. They had an awesome time! We didn't need to worry about their safety while exploring either! We enjoyed the peace and quiet, a small town atmosphere, and cooler weather! The drive to shopping and tourist things was not far away. We will definitely choose to vacation here again! |

| We spent two weeks at River Roost Cabin in Jul/Aug, '04--and pleasantly remember and mention events from the vacation often. We were seeking a quiet retreat from the suburbs last summer, and we weren't disappointed. The rockers on the wide porch were wonderful during occasional and typical mountain summer afternoon rains. We read more than we have in years, and achieved our sought-after total relaxation and quiet visits with family members who dropped in for a few days here and there. Walking in the neighborhood and meeting the neighbors was as pleasant as the hiking on Mount Jefferson and canoeing and fishing on the New. Grandfather mountain and the Cone Mansion on the Parkway were within an easy day trip of our secluded hideaway, and we loved revisiting these favorite places and coming "home" to your charming cabin instead of a motel. Thanks for your help and hospitality, Leslie and Bill. |

Sue and I had a wonderful 5th wedding anniverary... The cabin was more than we imagined... The fishin' was great (caught trout and bass)even though we had rain some days.
I will tell anyone who is looking for a great getaway to look you up...
Thank you for being so helpful with our stay also. Finding place to eat, shop and site see was so easy with your help.

Hi Leslie & Bill...
My wife, Dolton, and I needed a very special experience for our 2nd Honeymoon (20 years). When we discovered your special haven we created in our minds a scenario that was impossible to fulfill...we thought. How wrong we were! The 6 days we experience at your cabin were among the most treasured of our lives. Though we arrived in the rain, the remaining days were perfect. Even that first night a deer went swimming down the river in front of our cabin. We joked that you had set that up for our benefit. What a magnificent retreat from the rigors of daily life. You further enhanced our stay by recommending the River House Restaurant and Zaloo's Canoes. We hand the most fantastic 2nd Honeymoon dinner you can imagine. We canoed for the first time in our lives and had an awesome 5 mile trip down the New River thanks to Jim Zaloo. Finally, the view from Mt. Jefferson was so fantastic that we had to go back the morning we departed and sit on a ledge taking in the spectacular view. | What a great retreat! This cabin is so cozy and comfortable. It has a beautiful view of the river, and it is so very relaxing sitting on the porch and just listening to the tranquil sounds of the water. It is extremely quiet and peaceful, and very private. The quaint town of Jefferson is just adorable. It is also convenient to Todd's General Store, Boone, etc. |

If you're looking for a place to "get away from it all", this is the place.
The cabin is in a secluded, private area where you can just sit on the porch,watch the river and birds and relax. The cabin is spacious and comfortable. Definitely would recommend it! |

| Wonderful quite place to get away. The cabin is beautiful and very comfortable. We caught some redeye bass and some smallmouth bass. We also went up to Helton Creek and caught a few respectable rainbow trout. |
