Thanks John Hall for letting me and my hubby, mom in law, brother in law, sister in law, and 83 yr old mom in laws boy friend stay at the cabin. My son and daughter in law had a serious family illness and could not vacation with us as planned, that was the only downside to the trip. I will tell anyone I know that you cant go wrong with the cabin and the amenities. We had a great view of the hills in their splendor of fall colors. The cabin had everything even a crockpot which we didnt use. The beds were great and a tv was available for almost every room even though all we watched was Wheel of Fortune and the men watched the military channel a bit. Loved the bear rug on the wall my hubby thought it was real. We will most likely want to visit again in the future with family tagging along too. You have a very special cabin. One suggestion, if they are still available, would be a couple of foldout suitcase racks and maybe a door mirror or two. But it is great just the way it is. Thanks again.

Kim & Marvin

Thank you for allow my friends & I to stay in your wonderful cabin. We had all the comforts of home & the location is perfect to enjoy the many attractions in Gatlinburg as wells as Pigeon Forge.

The view is breathtaking as well as very relaxing. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings.

Thanks again for helping us have a perfect vacation.

Let me start by saying I saw a bear! It was a little thing; if he had stood on his back legs he would have been as tall as my seven yr old. He was running up the road in front of the house around 5:20 pm, we were in the middle of unpacking the truck, I was outside with my 3 yr old son at the time, and needless to say I panicked, grabbed him by the arm and ran in the house. The little bear was running up the road as fast as I was running in the house (I only ran fearing the mother bear that would protect her baby as much I was mine, she never came up). The rest of the bears we saw on this trip were at Cades cove and the bear habitat atop the mountain at Ober Gatlinburg.

The cabin is awesome, I have never felt so much at home in a place I have never been before. I will be back for years to come. We all love the layout of the house, the little guys slept upstairs, we took the master suite, and grandma and grandpa took a room downstairs. I know if we had stayed in-town somewhere we would have never had as good of a time as we did. I think if you can’t truly rest during your down time, the next day is going to be a lot more stressful. We came back to the cabin every night and the kids had somewhere to play and calm down. For morning time they spent their whole morning downstairs playing games (waking Grandpa up, not us). I know that in any motel they would have been climbing all over me wanting to know when we were going to leave and do something, here they can find something to do and I feel safe.
I would have to say this is least stressful trip I have taken since having kids. Everywhere else we have been I am always worried about what the kids are doing, but in this cabin I feel so safe. However they were told “if you go outside without Mom or Dad a bear WILL eat you” maybe that is why they wanted to stay in the house and be good.

This is the only place I will stay with my family when we come to the area. I am so blessed to have found the cabin and can’t wait till we come back. We will recommend this cabin to everyone we know! Thanks for letting us enjoy our fall in the Smoky Mountains.

Sincerely,

Carol

This was probably about our 8th stay at the cabin; and probably the most memorable it will be. We saw Mama Bear with her 3 cubs; that was very exciting for us and the kids. Took a ton of pictures. The weather was great except Saturday night we had a small storm, but we lost electricity; that was not much fun; but we made the most of it. Thanks again Marvin and Kim; we just love coming to the cabin!!

We stayed 4 nights at Hibernation Station and wished we had the time to have stayed 4 more! The cabin had everything you could want and more for a home away from home experience. Everything was cozy, clean, and just minutes from Gatlinburg and downtown Pigeon Forge. The Dixie Stampede was a great experience also. We will definately be back next year for a long stay!!

Hibernation Station is the place to stay in the Great Smokies! We had a blast! The cabin was so clean and felt like coming home. The scenary couldn't be more perfect from the back patio - hottub and all. The eight of us had a great time relaxing, site seeing and enjoying the surrounding area. Don't hesitate to pick this excellent value vacation home.

WOW! I don't know where to start. Well maybe I do, the owners Marvin, Kim and John were all so helpful, as to what shows to see and when to enjoy a great meal.
The views from the back deck were just like oil paintings, (great when your sitting in the hottub sipping the great wine that is left for you).
The beds were so comfortable that some mornings it will be hard for you to get out of them. But when you do go to see Cades Cove it is great. Bears, deers, turkeys you name it, its there and WILD.
The Dixie Stampede is fun for the whole family. Don't forget to stop by the deer farm for the kids.
For the adults go by the Smoky Mountain Winery and pick up some Blackberry wine and why not some strawberry too.
Thank you Marvin, Kim and John for a wonderful stay.

A wonderful cabin to feel at home in away from home. We had all the comforts of home, the gameroom is nice, and the kingbed in the master suite was so comfortable I felt like I was at the Four Seasons!!! The view from both the back deck was adding relaxation to the hottub, and the view from the front porch was gorgeous in the moonlight. The location was perfect, you felt 1000 miles from town....yet it only took 10 minutes to get there. We will definitely stay again.....the best cabin we have ever rented....Thanks for everything.

A wonderful cabin. My family and I spent two fabulous weeks in June at Hibernation Station (6 Adults, 2 teenagers). The views from the rear are breath taking (the photos on the cabin website are a very poor representation of the stunning views). The location is so convenient for Pidgeon Forge and Gatlinburg, but the cabin is hidden away up a lane so that you wouldn't know how close you were to the towns. The cabin facilities were great. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone.

Thank you for sharing your mountain chalet with us. We had such a wonderful time in your home that we didn't want to come back home! There were a total of 8 adults on our vacation and your home offered lots of comfortable living space for all of us to enjoy. The location was perfect between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and the views were amazing. We have been to the area several times and this was the first time that we actually spent more time staying in the chalet instead of going out. The chalet was very clean, cozy, and was relaxing for everyone. Thanks again we look forward to returning again next year, we finally found our go-to spot for every fall.

What a great cabin! We enjoyed it soo much we didn't want to come home! The location of the cabin was just perfect for all we wanted to see and do. We spent our time with family - a much needed respite for all of us! There were 7 adults and an infant and the roominess of the cabin could not have been better for all! You can be sure we will be calling you again and will be spreading the word to our family and friends down this way. Thank you so much for allowing us to use your beautiful cabin home!

Hi Marvin and Kim: Just wanted to tell you we spent another wonderful time in your cozy mountain retreat. It was great! This time, unlike last year when we brought family members, we spent more time in the cabin, where we read by the fireplace, soaked in the hottub, and walked the mountain roads for exercise. We also took our share of naps and went into town a couple of times and over to the Chimney Picnic area where we sloshed through some snow. It was a much needed rest for two seniors who left behind a busy family, including eight grandkids whom we see weekly, and a baby we watch daily. Thanks for everthing and much luck to you all and your partner in the future. Loved your other cabin, too. Had the mountain top to ourselves; it was the best! God bless you both. We really enjoyed spending the holidays at your "Hibernation Station". The views were very nice in all directions, and the location was really convenient for the trips into Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Also, the heating system seemed to do a good job of keeping the downstairs area at a comfortable temperature without making the upstairs and loft too hot. We will certainly contact you again for a place to rent if we get another chance to visit the Smokies.

Thank you for letting us stay at your cabin; it was the most relaxing vacation we have had in a long time. It was so beautiful and quiet; it was really hard to get motivated each day. The kids really enjoyed the game room and the hot tub. We are going back in July and we cannot wait.

WONDERFUL! WONDERFUL! These are the best words I can come up with to describe Marvin and Kim Bostock's log home nestled in between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, Tenn. My family enjoyed a week in January in this mountain paradise and enjoyed it all from the loft bedroom to the downstairs game room, and hot tub on the deck. The open floor plan was a treat where we got to absorb the beauty of this home and all its rustic decor. And the view......It was the most breathtaking view we have had in the 37 years we have been traveling to the Smokies since our honeymoon. We liked the location, too, where everything we wanted to do wasn't that far away. Of course, we will be back. Only problem is - as words gets out- will this awesome getaway be booked? Thank-you, Marvin and Kim.

I would like to give a special thanks to Marvin and Kim Bostock, and John Hall for their generous donation of a two night stay at their chalet. Being able to raffle off a two night stay at your chalet made the benefit dance to raise money for Shop with a Cop a huge success.

Thankyou so much for renting to us on such short notice. The place was wonderful. On a scale of 1-10 I give your cabin a 20! Lots of room to spread out, the views were wonderful, and the hot tub was the ultimate place to drink that delicious bottle of strawberry wine. You can bet that we will be returning!

Wow, great stay. Everything was perfect. Plenty of room for 8 adults, though I would not take many more than that. The beds were all comfy, the view was excellent and the location was perfect, right in the middle of everything. Did not see any bears, but it was cold. We got 7 inches of snow, but had plenty of food and beer, so not a problem, it was quite nice! Would recomend it to anyone, even a family with kids. They would love the games in the basement. Try the Peddler resteraunt, it was wonderful. Don't waste your time with the Alabama grill. Also the Smoky mountain brewery was top notch. Great beer and pizza! Thanks so much Marvin, we hope to get back real soon!

Dear Kim and Marvin:

This was probably the 30th time we stayed in the smokies and with out a question is was the best time we have ever had. It was great to be able to sit on the deck and just get lost with the mountain views. The hot tub was great. The lodge was super. Everyone was able to find their own space and just hang out. I had the loft and it was great even when the grandkids found me. For four days your place became our home and we hated to have to leave. The kids loved the game room, Kerry loved the hot tub and the wine, and we all had a great time. Rainbow trout cooked on the outside grill was the best I have ever prepared. We are looking forward to being able to arrange another stay.
Thanks for letting us experience this great getaway.

We really enjoyed our stay at your cabin. The views were magnificent. The cabin was really clean and furnished well. The layout was great and roomy for our party of six adults. We had plenty of room for getting ready and the beds were especially comfortable. The hot tub and game room were great! We are already trying to decide when we can return. Hopefully soon.

Helly guys,

For being new to the Cabin rental game you guys sure do it well. I cant honestly give you any advice to improve on what you have there. Its beautiful, clean, and the kids loved the air hockey game. You had all pots and pans, dishes, everything was great. I seriously cant think of anything to tell you to change, or improve on. We plan to do it again next year for sure.
Hope all is well and thanks for building such a pretty place. The hot-tub outside was a sure winner idea, as well as that big bathtub in the main room
