| The apartment is perfect for one or two people and is conveniently situated in a quiet yet active neighborhood. The Metro and bus are only two-three short blocks, groceries, the open-air market and cafes are all within steps of this great little place. Guy was great to work with and is a warm and wonderful host, making sure we had all the information we needed - especially like their "surviving in the area" guide! Wonderful place, wonderful people and that led to a wonderful time in Paris. We highly recommend staying here and until we buy our own place in Paris, we'll be staying here again! Thanks! |

| Just returned from a wonderful, relaxing week-long stay at this cozy apartment in the heart of the Marais. Guy was extremely helpful and hospitable, and he even helped me solve a potential travel disruption (thanks, Guy!). I would highly recommend this apartment - and the surrounding neighborhood is great for food shopping, an added plus! |

| Of all the places we've stayed in Paris, this flat was without doubt the tops! Guy and Jean-Michel are charming, helpful and gracious hosts, the apartment is warm and inviting, the balcony is delightful, and the neighborhood is not only lovely, but perfectly situated for easy walking access to so many terrific spots. It felt like home (or maybe even better than home!), and we'd go back in a heartbeat! Thank you Guy and Jean Michel! |

| This is a great apartment, with everything you need for a great time in Paris. The kitchen is fully equipped, as is the bathroom, and there is a great folding European clothes-drying rack in the closet that you can set up if you need to. The bed-side reading lights on both sides of the bed are great. The apt. is very light and cheerful, and in a great neighborhood. Guy sent perfect instructions for getting there, and there is tons of helpful literature on Paris in the apt. Thanks so much!! |

| This apartment was so convenient and relaxing that it made us feel very much "at home" during our visit to Paris. We especially enjoyed shopping for groceries in all of the charming neighborhood shops. We had everything we needed and Guy and Jean Michel were perfect hosts. The neighborhood is terrific and convenient and many sights were within walking distance. We will definitely plan future trips to Paris based on the availability of this lovely apartment. |

| This apartment was great. It's in an excellent, quiet location. It was our first time staying in the Marais and we loved it. It is perfect for a couple. The maps and other tourist guides came in very handy as did all the kitchen supplies. Guy and Jean were very helpful. I would not recommend it for anyone with limited mobility however as the tub/shower is quite awkward to get in and out of. |

This apartment was wonderful! It exceeded all of our expectations. The kitchen was fully equipped and functional which allowed us to prepare many wonderful meals at “home,” rather than having to dine out each evening. The location is perfect, this is a great neighborhood. Everything we needed was within a few blocks. For the week, we truly lived like Parisians. This was much better than staying in a hotel! Guy and Jean Michel were such a pleasure to deal with. Very nice people. We will be back.

| My husband and I are not seasoned travelers in fact this was my husband's first time of out Australia and he is in his 60s. Guy and Jean made us feel so welcome and just could not do enough to make us feel welcome. They provided all the information we needed to get ourselves around and even knocked on the door a couple of times to make sure everything was o.k. and that we had everything we needed. If you want excelent value, clean apartment and in the heart of the wonderful Marias then this is the place for you. I only wish we could return!! If Guy and Jean read this message then again our heartfelt thanks for making this the most wonderful once in a lifetime visit to your wonderful city and if you are ever in Adelaide, please look us up!! |

We fell in love with Paris! The city, the people, the sites.
We especially enjoyed the location of the apartment. Very easy walking distance to restaurants, shops and the Metro. The balcony....so romantic to absorb the atmosphere of the neighborhood.
We had the " Best Crepes in the Universe" at the Covered Market on Rue de Bretagne. A fun dinner our first night at Les Philosophes....yummy Creme Brulee. A very romantic memorable dinner at the Auberge Nicolas Flamel located in a building that will celebrate being 600 yrs. old this December.
Guy and Jean Michel are the nicest people and so helpful with any questions that we came up with. We would highly recommend this sunny wonderful apartment! We plan to return in the future and will make our plans according to the availablity at this apartment. Merci Guy and Jean Michel for making our stay so enjoyable. |

What a great place!! Clean, convenient, excellent location, wonderful hosts, everything you could want in a vacation rental. The apartment is light and bright, very open feeling with high ceilings. Lots of little touches to make the stay easier, like electrical converters and a 'survival guide' with restaurants and market locations (maps included). My wife and I stayed in the apartment for 5 days in May. The apartment is clean with a great balcony and small kitchen (which was not used because of all the great restaurants in the area).
Guy and Jean Michel are wonderful hosts and answered any questions we had. The area is just amazing. Close to Metro and major attractions. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

| I spent 8 days in this apartment in mid-April. The apartment was beautiful, clean, and comfortable. Guy and Jean Michel were incredibly helpful and friendly. The apartment was in a great location, within walking distance of most major tourist attractions, and near a lot of restaurants and shopping. Paris was absolutely beautiful and this apartment was the perfect place to stay. I agree with the earlier poster who said he would plan future trips around when this apartment is available--I'll be doing the same. |

| We celebrated our 29th anniversary in Paris and stayed at this apartment for 7 glorious days. The apartment, location, everything in the neighborhood were perfect for our needs. I especially enjoyed the breads and pastries every morning at Fougasse and 2 other nearby boulangerie. Guy and Jean Michel and their neighbor, Alana, were wonderful hosts. Guy, I want to thank you for helping set up the reservation at Jules Vernes Restaurant. It made our anniversary celebration even more special.Merci! |

| I stayed at the apartment around the New Years holiday. The apartment is bright, cheerful and in a safe location. There is an elevator, which is great after walking around Paris. You're not far from supermarkets, pastry shops, restaurants, and other stores. The metro isn't that far either. Guy and Jean Michel reside upstairs on sixth floor and are available if needed. Guy and Jean are very nice. Paris is a beautiful city. |

We are just back from our second stay in the studio on the rue de Saintonge. The apartment was as charming and immaculate as we remembered. Guy and Jean Michel made us, once again, feel more like guests than renters. The quiet location two steps from a thriving street of shops and cafes and convenient to metro and bus couldn't be better. The Christmas pastries at Fougasse and the blini and smoked salmon from local markets made our holiday extra special. A wonderful choice for first- time visitors to Paris and experienced travelers alike. |

I stayed 5 days solo in December for a last minute trip and the apt surpassed my expectations. The studio was so comfortable that I had to be careful to not spend too much time inside and I enjoyed using the balcony, even in the winter. I wrote a detailed on-line review at fodors(dot)com, with some pictures of the apartment and the great surrounding neighborhood. Very safe, secure building and neighborhood. Guy and Jean Michel are as charming and welcoming as their vibrant apartment. (Hmm, the guestbook won't allow me to include a hyperlink. Since our last stay, Guy has put together a booklet with local shops and restaurants and places to see and how to get around Paris. Even in November, we were able to sit out on the balcony every day for some wine and cheese. This place is truly a gem and we already are looking forward to another visit. |

| This apartment is a wonderful slice of Parisian life! My husband and I spent our honeymoon here, and couldn't have been happier with the apartment, the neighborhood, and the landlords. Guy and Jean-Michel were warm and welcoming hosts, providing guide books and a special booklet that they made about the local shops in the neighborhood - including maps, directions, and opening hours. The apartment is everything you see in the pictures, absolutely charming decor! Le Marais is a beautiful historic district, filled with upscale boutiques, delicious cafes, and shady green parks. The apartment is a lovely 15-20 minute walk from the Seine and Notre Dame, and about a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro stop, which will take you all over town! Guy and Jean-Michel are so helpful with any questions you have about getting around, and they are interesting and funny people to talk with. We are so happy that we stayed here instead of a hotel, and we are telling all of our friends who would visit Paris in the future to contact Guy and Jean-Michel about this fabulous apartment. We hope everyone who stays here enjoys it as much as we did, and that they are all respectful and kind to the wonderful people who go out of their way to take care of you. Thank you for everything! Our honeymoon was everything we hoped it would be! |

| I've been to Paris four or five times now, and this is by far the nicest place I've stayed in the city. It is in the heart of the Marais, clean, cheerful, and full of light. The clincher is the balcony, which is just big enough to sit on for breakfast or for a drink at the end of the day, and which has a great view up and down he street - especially to the south, where the dome of the Pantheon is perfectly framed by the buildings on each side of the street. Guy & Jean-Michel, the owners, are charming and friendly. I would on future trips be heavily influenced in my choice of when to come to Paris by the periods in which this apartment might be available. |

A great place and a wonderful first visit to Paris. Jean Michel and Guy's apartment is in an extremely convenient location -- just off of Rue de Bretagne, where you can find a great bakery, a market, and all kinds of other shops, within a two minute walk of the apartment. As other guests have mentioned, many, many of the great sites of Paris are an easy walk or a short Metro ride from Rue de Saintonge. The apartment is cozy and has a very comfortable bed.
It was a pleasure to get to know Guy and Jean Michel. Without being at all intrusive, they were extremely helpful -- and they know the area very well. In short, a winner!

I took my grand-daughter to Paris for her 16th birthday and we just returned home. At first when she chose Paris I was a little reluctant but after much communication with Guy et Jean Michel I felt comfortable to make the trip. I am so happy we went, it was a wonderful experience for both of us and at no time were we disappointed. We found Parisians most congenial and helpful, not speaking French did not present a problem. Upon arrival Guy greeted us and we instantly fell in love with the apartment, it is bright, cheery, clean and the balcony is just superb. The elevator is much appreciated after a long walk and being on the 5th floor provided additonal security. The Marais is a wonderful area to stay in, it's close to everything, in a safe area, and an excellent place to shop and eat. You can easily walk to Notre Dame, the Louve, and many other places of interest. We walked to the Seine and took the Batobus the first two days, then we tackled the Metro which turned out to be very easy to navigate all over Paris. With Guy's assistance we took the train to Versaille which was just amazing. The apartment has everything you need, the tub is very inviting after a long busy day with much walking. Any questions or concerns were quickly addressed by Guy or Jean Michel, it was so reassuring to have them available. I would definately recommend a trip to Paris and to stay at Guy and Jean Michel's apartment on Rue de Saintonge. We hope in the future we can return to Paris, we know where we will stay. Also, my daughter would like to thank Guy et Jean Michel for assisting Jessie to call her every night, it was greatly appreciated. Just another example of their great hospitality.

Comment Text: The apartment's location, amenities and safety makes this the perfect place to live like locals. Shops offering everything from wine, to cheese to fresh fish as well as the best roasted chicken on the planet are steps from the front door. Its balcony large enough for wine, desserts and morning coffee offers a great view of the Parthenon. Guy and Jean Michel are the finest of hosts. All the praise that previous guests have entered in the guestbook for this studio apartment and the landlords, Guy and Jean-Michel, is more than warranted. The cheery apartment is indeed great accomodation for a couple, the street a peaceful oasis in a lively quarter of Paris, and Guy and Jean- Michel could not be warmer or more concerned to ensure the best possible experience for their renters. The medium-firm bed is great for travelers with back issues (not always so common in Europe) and the apartment is kept impeccably clean. Top marks in all areas. We have already made our plans for a return stay.

Guy and Jean Michele were wonderful hosts and the apartment was everything and more than we could have imagined. It was very well equiped for nights we chose to eat in, clean, comfortable and the balcony just perfect for enjoying a glass of wine as the sun went down. You will really appreciate the tub after a day of walking the streets of Paris! The neighbourhood was very charming and after having visited Paris before and staying in other areas, my preference will always be the Marais. We will stay here again when we return to Paris. | We just got back from spending 7 great nights in Paris at Guy and Jean Michele's apartment. We couldn't have been more pleased. Everything was just as represented in the website plus more. The apartment was very clean, and had everything in it we needed, including an umbrella which we had forgotten. The balcony, which was a big reason we took the apartment, was used almost every night, and what a pleasant surprise to be able to see the dome of the Pantheon, lit up at night, from the balcony! The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept on when on vacation! The apartment itself was ideally located. It is on a quiet street, but within a very short walking distance of just about any kind of market or shop you could want. It was so nice to literally walk around the corner and shop like the locals do for wine, cheese and other items. The metro is within a short walk, as well as many other must see places. We walked down to the Seine every day, not even bothering to take the metro. We are so glad that we found this special place, if we ever make it back to Paris we would definitely stay here again. Thanks Guy and Jean Michele! |

| Let’s just say we will never stay in a hotel again! If you want to feel like a Parisian you have found the perfect place to call home. We spent five magical nights in this apartment (4/23-4/28), made even more special by the hospitality of our hosts. From our first correspondence, the special arrangements for a birthday celebration, and throughout our entire stay, we found ourselves welcomed as if we were family. The apartment was everything it promised; it became our home away from home. The surprise was that the apartment was even more romantic than the on-line pictures conveyed. Jean-Michel and Guy were warm, gracious, and knowledgeable hosts. They helped us with restaurant suggestions, maps, and even printed out the weather forecast for our stay. If this is your first time going to Paris and you are confused over which arrondissement is right for you rest assured, Le Marais is safe, beautiful, and offers all the romance and culture Paris is known for, including the wonderful Parisians themselves. We plan to return… Merci – Mala-Maria and Dawn |

This apartment is extremely charming and comfortable; furthermore, the location could not be better. Literally around the corner were bakeries, cafes, a green grocer, a fromagerie, and a wine shop. There is also a metro stop very close by, but you'll find that many wonderful attractions, such as the Musee Picasso and the Place de Voges, are in easy walking distance. If we came back to Paris, we would definitely stay in the Marais, and we would try to stay in this apartment. Visited this lovely studio in December 2004. Couldn't recommend more highly - near to public transport, bars, cafes, restaurants (loved Chez Omar cous cous restaurant!) but quiet and more spacious than it looks in the picture. We left a load of personal items behind and got home from Paris to find a message from the lovely owner Guy on our answerphone telling us not to worry, he had them. | Our plan was to live like Parisians for three weeks. We went on faith through the pictures on the internet and the e-mail communications we had with the owners. We were not disapointed. The apartment was so perfectly located in a quite residential area, just blocks from the Picasso Museum, The Pompideau Center, and the ateliers and shops. There were 3 boulangeries, a green grocer, a fromagerie and an open market just around the corner. The owners made us feel at home and provided us with everything that we needed. The balcony was the perfect place to have a cup of coffee in the morning. After all the extensive walking we did, we are eternally grateful for the elevator in the building. It’s a thrill having the code to an apartment building in Paris. |

The apartment is absolutely perfect. The only bad thing about staying here is that we had to leave. Sunny, bright and cheery. Plenty of room. The pictures are very accurate. If anything, the apartment is bigger than it looks. The bed is really comfortable. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need. Everything is clean. We immediately felt right at home. The outside terrace is the best. We had many glasses of wine out there while enjoying the view of the quiet little neighborhood. If you are not in the mood for quiet, in 5 minutes or less you can be on a busy little street shopping at the boulangeries, traiteurs, restaurants and bars that are everywhere. The Paris Metro is very close. Jean-Michel and Guy are so nice and helpful. Yet, you would never know they are there. (I won't even mention the view of Paris from their apartment...) If you want to pretend you are a real Parisian living in a killer apartment in a great neighborhood that is quiet and close to everything, then stay here.

This was my second trip to Paris and my mom's first. This place made my second trip more enjoyable than the first. What a wonderful place! It was convenient, clean and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for better hosts. They were hospitable and helpful. We were very pleased with the accomendations and have recommended it to our friends.

| I consider this a little gem in a wonderful Paris neighborhood. Not only was the apartment quiet and immaculately clean but its little balcony provided a great place to have our morning coffee or in the evening to sip wine and eat cheese or deserts brought at the wonderful neighborhood shops which are just around the corner. In addition, the apartment is in easy walking distance to many of Paris' wonderful sites and museums. Finally the owners could not have been more helpful. Jean Michel and Luc who are both fluent in English, while very respectful of our privacy, were more then willing to offer assistance if needed. We have told many of our friends about this little find. |

What a wonderful place to stay! The hosts Guy and Jean Michael were exceptionally hospitable and helpful. We ate breakfast every morning in the cozy apartment and even prepared two evening meals. It is well equipped. The location is supberb and within walking distance of all the major sites. We didn't want to leave but will return. |
