We just returned from two weeks on Amelia - and from our home away from home. The "cottage" has become so familiar now that we just settle in immediately. This time we had our children and our children's children for part of the time. Our 14 month old granddaughter "took off" for the first time - wandering all over the halls. We will always remember her first steps there!

Everything was as comfortable as ever and the weather was glorious as always. Due to all the rain this year - the forest was phenomenally lush and green - a true jungle. Reminding us how little it would take for nature to reclaim this patch of paradise.

Thanks to Jay and Rhonda for gently pushing the jungle back and keeping the cottage set and ready for all of us lazy beachcombers!

I had a great time at Amelia. We were there for a convention so part of our trip was work. Everything was super convenient including the shuttle to the center each day. The house has all we needed and more. Enjoyed the bikes and all the other ammenities. Jay was very pleasant to work with. Thanks so much for everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at your home. We love Amelia Island, and have been many times before, but always stayed at the hotel. The house was perfect for my toddler to have room to run around, and no stairs to deal with. All of the toys in the garage really kept him busy. We enjoyed the privacy and full kitchen as well. We hope to stay here again next summer because it was just lovely.

WE had a great 4th of July week. The house is perfect for a family vacation and the island and amenities are top rate. Thanks for sharing with us.

We had two weeks of paradise anchored by your wonderful house. Everyday was a glorious beach day with more to do than we could keep up with. Swimming, beachcombing, biking, boating etc. etc.

We enjoyed your lovely house so much that we felt torn to leave but the beach called and upon return we could cook lovely meals, laze away on the porches or have a "serious" ping pong" match.

The house was well equipped, entirely charming and inviting and impeccably clean. I loved getting up earlier than the rest of the clan and having my coffee on the deck and listening to the birds. A Cooper's Hawk walked by just under my feet and didn't even know I was there. The quiet forest primeval, the cushy comfort of the cottage, and the proximity of the wide open Atlantic - what more could one want.

Thanks for a terrific vacation - we will be back!

From the moment we walked in, we were home! Groceries were all we needed. Early morning coffee on the deck, sitting with feet on the railing in Adirondack chairs, relaxed, listening to the birds calling to each other, watching them flit from branch to branch -- a great way to start one's day. Louis, Annette and the boys, as well as their Auntie Sarah, took off for the beach each day on the bikes, while Pop Pop relaxed, read, watched the game, took long walks, had lunch at the Ritz with Nana Banana. PopPop took everyone to their favorite luncheon spot, Firehouse Subs, for some mouth-burning specialities.

Your kitchen was great and we prepared breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. We were so comfortable, we set around the table after dinner, played word cames and laughed ourselves silly. Sarah was "surprised" with a dinner/birthday party by nephews Jared and Jacob.

We loved our home away from home. You have thought of everything. Nature was encouraged to do and be her most beautiful. What humanity is capable of creating when we work with nature is evident there -- the marshes, the live oak hammocks, the homes nestled in amongst the live oak forest, the beaches (yes, I did make it to the beach), were greatly appreciated by us all. We hope to come back next year.

Our family had a great time in this lovely home. We enjoyed making and eating family meals (kitchen had everything we needed), watching movies at night, and walking/biking to the beach. We got a lot of use out of everything, and it was a lovely vacation for everyone. Thanks!

We Had a great time. The weather was beautiful. The house was beautiful and clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We enjoyed the bikes and the ping-pong table. Everything was easy to get to and the kids could get around without us having to bring them everywhere. The Plantation is a beautiful place and it is on our list of favorite vacation places. We enjoyed our stay and the weather was beautiful. Thanks Jay for letting us stay in your wonderful home.

Our two and four-year-old grandchildren loved playing on your screened porch and we loved relaxing in the living room while watching them. There were so many things for them to do on the Plantation that we were busy every moment that they weren't sleeping.

What can I say, thanks for renting this spotless gem. We loved the house and it’s setting. This spacious house with the bigest master bedroom I have seen still seemed empty even with the futon sofa and excersise bike, and skylight. We loved all the personal momentions, a sailboat everywhere! The bedroom with the paperbacks, and games was a nice touch too. Each of three bathrooms was clean and tastefuly decorated. Kitchen was well appointed with everything you would need to cook and serve a nice dinner for 6. Extra nice touch with the nice glass ware. At every turn you could tell someone had taken a little extra effort to be sure your stay was a pleasure. Thanks!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in your house. It
was very well decorated and very comfortable for
four adults. The location was ideal as was the back
deck. Very private setting for long discussions, and
very quiet surroundings. We absolutely would love
to return.

This is a very clean, bright and well equipped rental home. Our family of six especially enjoyed not having to rent bikes! Between the beach, biking, golfing, playgrounds, there is a lot to do and see. Great vacation.

We are an active family with three children ages 2,5 and 7. The house was bright, very clean, well-equipped and situated in a fantastic location. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming, golfing and biking. The beautiful shaded paths that wind throughout Amelia Island Plantation were accessible just down the street. Kayaking and fishing were also down the road, but our vacation time ran out...We would love to return again. Thank you to the owners for a fantastic vacation. House was just as described and more.

Tucked into a quiet cul-de-sac this house commplements the beauty and tranquility of the Plantation. We feltl at home totally comfortable during our month-long stay.
