We rented the second floor of the Coconut Avenue house last June. It was one of the best places we have ever stayed. We do travel a lot and rented apt. in luxury villages all over the world. We decided to travel to Hawaii when I was invited to a conference for a week. My husband and two kids went along and had a blast. Every day was full of fun and activities for them after they drop me off at the conference place early in the morning. The location of this apart is just perfect. It is close to the Waikiki area but far enough so you can actually enjoy and relax and not be bothered by the constant noise of the Waikiki area. We loved the view of the diamond head crater, we could actually take a shower and had the view of this beautiful crater. There is a very nice and quiet beach at walking distance (Sans Souci), even for small kids (my youngest is 5) was a short and easy walk. We loved the backyard of the house, the mango trees (my daughter now loves mangos). The apt was in perfect shape, super clean. There is not a single complaint. We didn't have time to grill outside, this is something that we will definitely do if we go back. We will never forget the week we spent in this apt. Thank you, Harvey. Soledad and family. |

| My sister, my baby boy and I had the pleasure of staying on Coconut Ave for a month Oct / Nov 08, and absolutely loved the place. Its a beautiful walk along the beach to the main strip of Waikiki which was a pleasure to walk first thing in the morning of after a relaxing day on the beach. The yard was great for relaxing and or enjoying a yard picnic and the suite had everything we needed and more. Thank you Harvey we hope to return very soon. Mahalo! |

| Harvey's holiday home is so good I wanted to keep it a secret! The home is better than the photos, spacious, totally private in a tropical garden (think frangipani and mango trees) and in a fantastic position - just one block back from a secluded beach in upmarket Diamond Head. We stayed in the upstairs apartment and from the moment we arrived we relaxed. The house is well equipped with linen, beach towels, shampoo, soap, a hairdryer and every cleaning product you could imagine. There is even glad wrap, aluminum foil, paper towels and napkins in the kitchen cupboards. The modern granite kitchen was immaculate and there is a barbecue in the back garden by the jacuzzi. The cross ventilation in the house is fantastic which meant that even though it was hot we didn't have to have the air conditioning on and some nights we didn't even need ceiling fans. The back balcony was perfect for meals and drinks and the view of Diamond Head spectacular. The master bedroom has a king bed, an ensuite bathroom, plenty of storage (and coat hangers) a television and room for a cot. The second bedroom has a double bed and television and is across the hall from a large bathroom. The process of booking the duplex is easy and for those who live outside the USA you can use your Visa card. Harvey takes a security deposit of $500 but that was returned after inspection of the property. From our perspective this was a perfect destination in one of Oahu's top suburbs-only 15 minutes walk along the beach to hustling bustling Waikiki. Highly recommended. We'll definitely be going back. |

We loved our stay. The location is the best there is, and the home is so clean and fresh!. We walked to the beach each day, and explored the park and wonderful restaurants nearby. We spent most of our evenings in the yard, as the tradewinds are perfect right around dinnertime. What a great beach bungalow! We will recommend it highly to friends!

Dear Harvey, I wish to thank you for me and my wife's 3rd stay at your house on Coconut Avenue. Another excellent trip! We have now stayed on both floors and both have been wonderful, though the 2nd floor deck is absolutely the best. We keep returing, as this is the only area where we can walk to Waikiki; go to a great sandy beach by the luxurious W hotel in 5min (a beach, which is never too crowded); yet get away from the noise and enjoy a quiet beer in the night hours. Given the house is located in the area with the most expensive land prices, it certainly keeps a very nice crowd of people living in this area. I have researches more or less all possible rentals on Oahu and always hope to find a place that could make sense for us to try to rent.......now 1.5 years later I am still searching. Aloha, Steven & Yumi |

Homeowner Response:
Steven & Yumi are very lovely people from Japan, who on different visits, have come alone as well as with extended family. The option of renting both floors of the house gives one that added flexibility.

This is one of the best vacation homes you can find in Hawaii. It is perfect for a small family or two families traveling together! You can't beat the location--easy walking distance to a beautiful sandy beach, Waikiki, an Aquarium, and more. The house is immaculate, and the tropical landscaping is gorgeous and private. |

Guest Comment Entered By Homeowner:
Following is a letter sent to me by a recent guest, who spent the Christmas/New Year Holidays in our place. To preserve his privacy, he did not want to enter his e-mail address, so I have submitted his letter under owner comments.
This is only one of many positive comments we have received about our place, but have not spent the time, until now, in pursuing pleased visitors to send a recommendation letter to this adjunct of our vrbo web site.

Dear Harvey,
I wish to express my appreciation for giving me, my wife, & mother-in-law the opportunity to stay at your lovely house. Your care and appreciation for every detail of the house was a great pleasure for all 3 of us.
Waking up in the morning, taking a peak at Diamond Head from our bedroom while watching the morning news on TV, and following step out in the garden to enjoy a long breakfast in the wonderfully decorated garden with birds singing was a fantastic experience, neither of us had ever dreamt of.
All felt so serene, quiet, and far away from the busy city life, yet we were only a 15 minute stroll away from exciting Waikiki, which made the whole experience that much greater. The days we wanted a day away from Waikiki we often headed east for Kahala Mall or the luxurious Kahala Mandarin Hotel, which both were only 15 minutes away on one of the bikes or 7 minutes by car.
It was all, almost too good to be true!
I would like to compliment you, Harvey, for being a very fair, comfortable, and easy going person to work with. We appreciate your ‘aloha spirit’.
Sincerely,
Martin Anderson
